A FotoMagico subscription gives you access to the FotoMagico slideshow editor on iPad and Mac, frequent updates to the apps and regularly published, useful content such as tutorials, slideshow snippets and more. Without a subscription, you can use FotoMagico for iPad to view and present slideshows you created before the subscription expired or with a previous version of FotoMagico. There is a free, 14 day trial period.

The FotoMagico subscription is a monthly, auto-renewing subscription. Payment will be charged to your App Store Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription is automatically renewed if it is not canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. I’ve used Fotomagico for years and was excited when it came to the iPad but even with the most recent update in November 2025, the app is only allowing me to drag 20 photos to the storyboard. When I try to add more than 20, the app crashes, when I try to add 5-10 images, the app crashes. I’ve never had this issue and I’ve made slide shows containing over 350 images with Fotomagico. Please fix this bug. Rebooting the iPad did nothing. The problem still exists.

I just loved the Mac app and trying to us this app is one of the most frustrating things.  It is not intuitive and has so many bugs it actually feels like a beta product. It will not save itself automatically.  I must have made four different slideshows trying to get it just to save one.  If you are coming to FotoMagico for this app then I would wait to see if it develops and stick with the Mac app. Of course they tied the subscription together to it does not make a big difference.  I really want them to succeed and they just need to bring the same ease of use from the Mac app to the iPad app.

Habe mit dem 14-Tage Probeabo versucht, meine erste DiaShow auf dem iPAD zu basteln. Bin leider nur bis zum Einfügen von ca. 10 Fotos gekommen, dann verabschiedete sich das Programm ‚sang- und klanglos‘. Hab das mehrfach - auch auf dem iPAD mine - versucht, immer das gleiche Ergebnis.

Erfolgreich war das Abspielen und Bearbeiten von mit FotoMagico V5 erstellten DiaShow‘s auf den IPAD.

Wenn sich dieser Fehler nicht beseitigen läßt, werd ich vermutlich das ABO nicht verlängern.

All went well until I almost finished my project and it kept crashing. I was unable to add photos or edit any photos that were already added. Really frustrating after spending so much time on my project.

Despite paying for a subscription, this app refuses to recognize it.  Would be a great app if one could actually get past the login screen.  Instead it appears I just lost $7.99 needlessly.

Werde weder auf den Mac für FotoMagico 6 ein Abo abschließen noch auf dem iPad.Mache ja nicht monatlich eine Diashow.Habe für Version 5 pro bezahlt,würde auch ein Update bezahlen aber Abo nein danke.DIESE Info für ein deutsches Programm nur in englisch nervt außerdem.

To the people saying it’s too expensive to pay $40 a year for the subscription didn’t see all the other options. They offer 5 bucks a month another payment for 3 months and another payment for 6 months. Me personally only use Fotomagico 5 Pro on my I!
Mac maybe once or twice a year so it might be hard sell for me getting the yearly subscription but the other ones I might be able to work with.

Auf dem Mac ist das Programm stabil und richtig gut (auch unter Big Sur), die iPad App hat jedoch Macken, z.B nach Übergangseffekt „verpixeln“ bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz, bei iPhone Panoramabildern der gleiche Effekt (allerdings nur bei bestimmten Fotos). Als Präsentationswerkzeug für die, auf dem Mac erstellen Shows eine schöne Idee, wenn das Programm funktioniert.

If you want to make slideshow on your iPad this is the App to get. The ability to tailor a slide show to your requirements is almost unlimited. Picture titles, editing, movement and timing can all be controlled; transitions available are almost unlimited; and music can be synced not only to the length of the show but to individual slides. Drawbacks to the App is it’s excessively high price and the failure of the developers to respond to questions.
