Ich glaube mittlerweile viele Softwarehersteller spinnen ja komplett. Wenn man die App kaufen kann, bin ich dabei. ### 1/5 — Abonnement zu teuer und Abstürze *2019-12-18, version 1.0.1* Im Gegensatz zu Fotomagico für Mac gibt es Fotomagico fürs iPad nur als Abo. Das Abo ist mit über 40€ pro Jahr deutlich zu teuer. Zum Hinweis Die große Macversion kostet 99€ und ist seit 2016 im Einsatz. Damit kostet die iPad Version in den vier Jahren fast das doppelte! Außerdem soll die Version auch für das iPad Air funktionieren. Allerdings selbst die Demo 2019 stürzt nach kurzer Zeit ab. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not working like it should! *2026-01-12* I’ve used Fotomagico for years and was excited when it came to the iPad but even with the most recent update in November 2025, the app is only allowing me to drag 20 photos to the storyboard. When I try to add more than 20, the app crashes, when I try to add 5-10 images, the app crashes. I’ve never had this issue and I’ve made slide shows containing over 350 images with Fotomagico. Please fix this bug. Rebooting the iPad did nothing. The problem still exists. ### 1/5 — So very disappointing *2024-12-29* I just loved the Mac app and trying to us this app is one of the most frustrating things. It is not intuitive and has so many bugs it actually feels like a beta product. It will not save itself automatically. I must have made four different slideshows trying to get it just to save one. If you are coming to FotoMagico for this app then I would wait to see if it develops and stick with the Mac app. Of course they tied the subscription together to it does not make a big difference. I really want them to succeed and they just need to bring the same ease of use from the Mac app to the iPad app. ### 1/5 — Broken *2022-07-04* Despite paying for a subscription, this app refuses to recognize it. Would be a great app if one could actually get past the login screen. Instead it appears I just lost $7.99 needlessly. ### 1/5 — Auf dem Rechner top, im iPad Abo flop *2020-10-06, version 1.0.7* Bin enttäuscht, bleibe bei der bewährten Arbeitsweise: am Rechner arbeitet es sich wesentlich komfortabler, da habe ich 2 Monitore und auch sonst genug Platz. Dann noch das üppig teure Abo, da kann ich mein Geld gleich zum Branchenprimus schicken... ### 1/5 — Weniger ging leider nicht...! *2020-05-31, version 1.0.6* Sehr geehrtes Boinx Software Team, in Ihrer Mail (warum eigentlich in Englisch?) hieß es: „It‘s now very easy (an free!) to view and present your FotoMagico 5 porjects...“ Damit suggerieren Sie, dass die Nutzung der App kostenlos ist, also kein Abo abgeschlossen werden muss. Als langjähriger Kunde und Nutzer der FotoMagico 5 pro Version auf einem iMac wäre die iPad-Version für mich ein Gimmick gewesen, die ich zu einem im Verhältnis zu der Mac-Version angemessenen einmaligen Kostenaufwand bestimmt erworben hätte. So musste ich die App leider wieder löschen! Wirklich schade! ### 1/5 — Das ist ein dicker Hund *2020-05-30, version 1.0.6* Man erhält eine Email, wo (auf Englisch) erläutert wird, man könne vorhandene Präsentationen (die von meinem Mac) kostenlos auf dem iPad abspielen. Super - das reicht mir völlig, denn ich arbeite lieber am Mac. Aber dann - nach der Installation: kostenlos - für 14 Tage. Ich habe echt keine Lust mehr auf dieses ewige Abo-Theater. Ich bin gerne bereit, einen einmaligen angemessenen Preis zu zahlen, aber ich arbeite nicht, um über Abos die Software-Industrie zu finanzieren. Also: Löschtaste. They offer 5 bucks a month another payment for 3 months and another payment for 6 months. Me personally only use Fotomagico 5 Pro on my I! Mac maybe once or twice a year so it might be hard sell for me getting the yearly subscription but the other ones I might be able to work with. ### 5/5 — Comprehensive *2020-10-10, version 1.0.7* If you want to make slideshow on your iPad this is the App to get. The ability to tailor a slide show to your requirements is almost unlimited. Picture titles, editing, movement and timing can all be controlled; transitions available are almost unlimited; and music can be synced not only to the length of the show but to individual slides. Drawbacks to the App is it’s excessively high price and the failure of the developers to respond to questions. ### 5/5 — Tolle Software... *2020-02-06, version 1.0.2* für die Erstellung professioneller Fotoshows! Leider nur im Abo. ### 3/5 — Abstürze im iPAD Pro 11“ *2023-06-15, version 1.4* Habe mit dem 14-Tage Probeabo versucht, meine erste DiaShow auf dem iPAD zu basteln. Bin leider nur bis zum Einfügen von ca. 10 Fotos gekommen, dann verabschiedete sich das Programm ‚sang- und klanglos‘. Hab das mehrfach - auch auf dem iPAD mine - versucht, immer das gleiche Ergebnis. Erfolgreich war das Abspielen und Bearbeiten von mit FotoMagico V5 erstellten DiaShow‘s auf den IPAD. Wenn sich dieser Fehler nicht beseitigen läßt, werd ich vermutlich das ABO nicht verlängern. ### 3/5 — Schöne App mit kleinen Macken *2020-12-17, version 1.0.7* Auf dem Mac ist das Programm stabil und richtig gut (auch unter Big Sur), die iPad App hat jedoch Macken, z.B nach Übergangseffekt „verpixeln“ bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz, bei iPhone Panoramabildern der gleiche Effekt (allerdings nur bei bestimmten Fotos). Als Präsentationswerkzeug für die, auf dem Mac erstellen Shows eine schöne Idee, wenn das Programm funktioniert. ### 3/5 — Cant load songs from Photos *2020-09-16* I dont like prescription software, i allways prefer to buy only, it would have to be something totally super special and not available anywhere else even then i might still not prescribe. Unfortunately the pricing, at $40 a year, is simply outrageous for an app I’d use infrequently. Unless you’re a professional photographer making slideshows for clients every week, this app is much too expensive.
