HOWEVER, I have been unable to find my subscription information. There is no payment info in the app nor can I find any detailed account information on the website. In the event I need to cancel or change my payment source, I have no idea where to do that. I also have looked under my subscriptions on my iPhone and Fottur doesn’t even appear there. My card has now been charged for more charges! But-I can't log on with my phone to an account-says I don't have an account. This payment is direct through them, not through Apple, and it’s ridiculous that there’s no communication from the developer, with no way to close an account in the app. ### 1/5 — Deceptive! *2024-09-30, version 2.39.0* I signed up for this app through FB. Was surprised when my 3 month subscription will be automatically renewed at the end of the 3 months. I read the introductory email that says “ To avoid being charged, you must cancel at least a day before each billing date. You may cancel your subscription in the profile settings on the website. To do this, please go to fottur.io > tap 'Login' to access your account > click your profile picture > choose 'Account settings' and click 'Subscription'.” There is no option for doing this in the app. Deceptive, convoluted and scammy. Makes me not trust this app👎 ### 1/5 — Tried to cancel *2024-09-01, version 2.37.0* Emails come back undeliverable. After you buy they have basic feature that cost more. Want my money back! ### 1/5 — No preview *2024-08-30, version 2.37.0* I installed the app and during setup it suggested 2 hiking areas at the other side of the country (Canada). Won’t pay unless I know there are closer trails. I don’t need to fly across the country to gind a hike in the woods. Free preview of nearby areas would be good. ### 2/5 — Frustrated *2024-08-22, version 2.35.0* The app is not working as expected. It doesn’t mark items as completed when I finish my daily plan. Links within the reading section do not work. Searching for specific trails is frustrating. I cannot login on the website because it makes me go through the startup quiz and there is no spot to just login so that I can cancel. The app doesn’t take you to any place to manage my subscription. This entire experience is frustrating. ### 1/5 — Cancelling subscription is not transparent process *2024-08-22, version 2.35.0* I paid for a one-week trial and decided this app wasn’t for me, so I wanted to cancel. The subscription doesn’t show up in my Apple ID so I had to try and figure out how to cancel through their website before the week ends. Finding the cancellation function is not exactly simple, and all it says after you do it is “request submitted”. No email, no confirmation. I’ve cancelled 3 times with no clear indication that they’re going to honour my right to cancel…. What a joke. ### 1/5 — Terrible! Get AllTrails instead. *2024-08-13, version 2.34.1* Terrible app! It shows walks along city streets rather than trails so it seems like you have a lot of options but basically you are walking through town There is no way to access your subscription settings so you can’t cancel , probably unless you sign up via the App Store. So if you start anywhere else you’ll be overpaying for ever! There is an extreme focus on weight loss and the assumption that if you are over a certain weight you must be out of shape. The suggested activities are far below my regular activity level but there is no way to change them in the app. Along with the implied messaging that I must be unhealthy, this is totally discouraging. And annoying. Sign up for AllTrails instead! Beware of ongoing billing even after subscription has allegedly been cancelled. ### 1/5 — I think you’re scamming your customers *2025-01-13, version 2.46.2* There is no payment information in the Fottur.io app and there is no payment information on the website for this company. This app is in the Apple App Store, which I have downloaded for free, but not used yet. After it went past the free week I was charged $15 for that month of November then in December it charged me almost $38.95 USD directly to my bank. I went to cancel my subscription or change my payment source but I have no idea where to do that. I have also looked under my subscriptions on Apple and it is not listed there. Yet it is directly charging my bank $38.95 per month for this app which is way higher than what I originally remember agreeing to. That is over $400 a year for a basic hiking app!!!! Thus this company is a scam and is based in a British Indian Ocean territory, wherever that is. I want my money back! Haven’t found this app to be helpful. Impulse buy, saw on Facebook and thought it might be motivating to get me out more. Regret that I signed up for a month. My Apple health app that comes on iPhones does a lot more in terms of measure distance etc. The trail suggestions are not good. Some are a 20 minute drive away for a half mile trail!! I hike a lot and there are many trails much nicer than these. Plus I selected the not well traveled trails and this app chose mostly chronically very traveled trails. There was a long questionnaire but the app didn’t match me with my answers.
