### 3/5 — Good game but there are bugs

*2024-04-10, version 1.6.2*

Particularly in situations where the human and a computer player have competing claims for a tile or for Mahjong. Computer always wins the dispute, regardless of position on the board or power of the claim. I’ve also seen a case in which the game failed to recognize a Mahjong.

### 3/5 — Not as good as the PC version

*2022-10-25, version 1.6.2*

I’ve always loved the Four Winds Mah Jong - it taught me how to play the game. Whilst this is a reasonable basic version, it has none of the many configurations available on the PC version so I can’t play my favourite American Modern game. I hope that it is amended with future updates.

My main issue is that it prevents me from discarding some tiles when I’m trying to be strategic which is immensely frustrating.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2018-09-04, version 1.6.2*

I have been playing the free version for quite a while and thought I would invest in the paid version to be able to alter settings etc. very disappointed. You can't even change opponents names. I would like to see more changes, such as ability to turn off chows and a more accurate scoring system. Landscape orientation would be good too. Since there hasn't been an update in quite some time I'm not holding my breath. I should have just stuck with the free version.

### 5/5 — Exceptional

*2017-08-08, version 1.6.2*

Really do like this game. Could do with better selection of special hands and most definitely no chows option. That would make this more entertaining. Notwithstanding though great graphics, no nonsense game. Hats off to developers. A multiplayer option would be good, would love to play this with daughter when on long trips away!!!

### 5/5 — Very good.

*2017-03-14, version 1.6.2*

This is a very good representation of the real game of mahjong, as opposed to the many 'pairing' games that seem to exist.
It does the scoring for you, thus removing one of the off putting aspects for people unfamiliar with the game but doesn't help much in explaining how or why the score is arrived at.
The graphics are fine for iPad but the Mac version makes me squint.

### 1/5 — Don't be duped

*2016-06-24, version 1.6.2*

Not real mah Jong.

### 5/5 — Best I have found

*2016-05-12, version 1.6.2*

Best real mahjong game I have played. I recommend.

### 1/5 — Frustrating!!!

*2016-05-07, version 1.6.2*

Will not let me discard tiles without providing an explanation. No tech support or help feature.

### 2/5 — Scoring

*2016-01-21, version 1.6.2*

The scoring makes no sense and there is no way to look at why a player got the score they did.

### 4/5 — Great Mahjong app

*2015-10-17, version 1.6.2*

I love this app. It is a really great translation of the mahjong game to the iPad. Nice clean and intuitive interface. The instruction manual is really useful.

I would like a couple of improvements:
- more special hands, or the ability to define a special hand,
- the option to break down the scoring of a hand (possibly before moving to the next hand),
- landscape mode.

Notwithstanding these items, the game is great.

Thanks
