## What is Fourfold?

One busy Tuesday should not erase three months of progress.

Fourfold is a habit tracker, to-do list and daily planner built on a rule most apps ignore: a balanced week beats a busy one. Nothing turns red. Skipping costs nothing. Rest counts at full weight. And everything you finish feeds a koi pond.

Fourfold is a subscription. Try everything free for 14 days, then it is $49.99 a year or $9.99 a month, or $99.99 once for good. Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings; nothing you built is ever locked away, and your data is yours to export at any time.

Four zones, one honest score

Success is your work. Health is your body. Connections is your people. Personal is the part that is just yours. Every habit, task and goal lives in one zone, so when your week tilts, you can see where.

Your weekly Balance Score multiplies what you finish by how evenly you lived. Keep all four zones alive and the multiplier doubles your total, so an even week outscores a lopsided one of the same size.

Nothing here has teeth

Most gamified trackers motivate with loss: the pet starves, the plant wilts, the streak shatters at midnight. Fourfold refuses. Points are never taken back. A won medal never comes off. Your best streak only climbs. No guilt notifications, no "we miss you": every alert is one you set. If your brain already keeps score harshly, ADHD or otherwise, Fourfold will not pile on.

The koi pond

Finished work becomes fish food. Each zone fills its own wallet, a meal costs about two tasks, and a koi grows only on days it eats. Raise all four zones evenly and the lotus opens: that is the one way a new koi is born. Sell a well-raised fish at the Koi Market for pearls, jade for the finest, then spend them on lilies, lanterns, a waterfall, a moon bridge, new shores, a deeper pond. Arrange the garden any way you like. Everything is earned. Nothing costs real money. Nothing ever dies.

Habits and routines

Start from a library of 96 habits and make it yours: rename, pin, hide, add your own. The to-do library ships with starter ideas and learns what you repeat. Repeats run as deep as a calendar: hourly inside a window, daily, weekdays, weekends, monthly by date or nth weekday, yearly. If it repeats, Fourfold holds it, and every reminder sits in one list with its own switch.

Goals with a long view

Break a five-year intention into a year, twelve weeks, this week, today. Projects put the whole plan on one screen with an honest rolled-up percent, as a tree, a board, a timeline or a calendar.

Rise and Reflect

Rise opens your day, Reflect closes it. Prompts you can rewrite, a six-statement daily score, and a morning gratitude line that stays on the Today screen. A journal that takes two minutes, not a second job.

Progress, minus the dread

Your trend is measured against your own last four periods, not a stranger's highlight reel. A four-zone bloom, sparklines that never turn red, personal records, 25 medals, and twelve-week chapters.

On every screen you own

Four Today layouts: balance board, plain list, by zone, or on the clock. Nine Home Screen widgets, some tickable right there, plus Lock Screen widgets, Control Center and Action button controls, and a real Apple Watch app. One-way calendar sync into its own calendar.

Make it yours

19 backdrops, from still paper to living canvases that move with your balance, or your own photo. 57 original chimes with haptics, picked per category.

Quiet by design

No account. No ads. Works offline, with optional iCloud sync. Analytics are anonymous, with an off switch. VoiceOver labels, Reduce Motion respected, a text-size floor, and a second cue on every zone so color is never the only signal.

Plainly

Fourfold will not scold you into a better life. It shows you the shape of your week, rewards the balance, and lets a small pond make finishing feel good. That is a fine place to start.

Fourfold is for iPhone and Apple Watch, iOS 17 or later.

### 5/5 — Obsessed!!!

*2026-09-28*

Love this app!!! It’s so much more than a typical goal/habit tracker. The pond makes it feel like a game, and I love how you can break big goals into smaller, more realistic tasks. It actually makes reaching your goals feel doable! If you’re serious about reaching your goals, download this app—you’ll be glad you did!

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-30

Fourfold now speaks five more languages, and your koi can have names. Plus a round of fixes and one new question.

New

• Fourfold now speaks German, Spanish, French, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese. It follows your iPhone's language, or you can choose one in Settings under Language. A new install now opens with hello in every language Fourfold speaks, so you can pick yours first.

• Name your koi. Each zone's koi now wears its name on its chip in the pond, and a tap opens its card: choose a name, and see how far it has come on the road from fry to prize koi.

• The Habits card is now the Habit Tracker, on Today and on your Home Screen. It sits below your board, and until you track something, its X takes it off. New habits you add from the tracker are tracked right away.

• Every so often, after a win, Fourfold asks how it's going. If you're enjoying it, you can rate it on the App Store. If it's not quite there yet, you can tell us what would make it better. It asks at most once per version and no more than every two months, and never over anything else on screen. You can also find it any time in Settings under Share feedback.

• If you own Lifetime and a monthly or annual subscription is still renewing, Fourfold now tells you, and one tap opens Apple's page to cancel it.

• The wellness disclaimer in Settings now shows the crisis line for your country, with the number one tap away.

Fixed

• Koi no longer freeze in front of a treat you drop near the bank. Treats now land where a koi can reach them.

• Moving a habit with a target into a zone that already has one now asks first, since each zone holds one target at a time.

• A goal you finish and then undo in the same week now pays its points when you finish it for real.

• A habit you check off late, after the week has turned, now counts on the day you did it, and your run stays whole.

• On the Monthly plan, the trial reminder and the trial timeline in Settings now show the monthly price. They used to show the annual one.

• Tapping a habit's check on the Habit Tracker marks it done and nothing else. It was also opening the habit's page every time.

• The medium Habit Tracker widget no longer cuts off its header when you track four or more habits.

• Counts of one read properly now: "1 pearl", not "1 pearls".

### 1.1 — 2026-09-26

Habits get a proper home in this one, and your koi finally notice when you finish a goal.

New

• Habit tracking. Pick the habits and routines you want to keep an eye on, and each one shows its week and its current run. It counts the days a habit actually asks for, so one you do three times a week is not measured against a seven-day calendar.

• Targets. Give a habit a target, say 30 completions, and watch it fill. Reach it and your pond pays out in pearls.

• A panel for every tracked habit: the quarter as a grid, the current and best run, and a rate that survives a missed day.

• A Home Screen widget for your habits, next to the ones you already have.

• Select mode on your lists. Tap Select, pick several to-dos, then skip or clear them together. Skipping still costs you nothing.

• Finishing a goal now feeds the zone it belongs to. Points where they are due, and a meal or three for the koi.

• A new guide on keeping a habit going, and every other guide is shorter than it was: the same ground in about a third fewer words.

Fixed

• The glow board no longer pulses. On some boards it was animating its own size, which was exactly as distracting as it sounds.

• The 14-day free trial is on both plans now, monthly and annual. It had only ever been on annual while the screen promised it either way. Sorry if that was you.

• Your first run opens on your board rather than below it.

• "Got it" on the coaching cards stays on screen at larger text sizes, and the card scrolls when it needs to.

• Widgets no longer go blank after an update, and the habit widget shows a real week in the gallery instead of an empty one.

• Reminders: when several are due, the soonest one wins.

• The pond: koi raised on two devices no longer appear twice, a keepsake is minted once, and the pond says so when a trade could not be saved.

• Finishing a goal, undoing it and finishing it again pays the bonus once, the way the pond always has.

• The Plan tab is quicker, and a detail sheet closes itself when what it was showing is gone.
