It crashes a lot! Please fix this crappy app! If you don’t. You lose me as a viewer. Cause when I go back in time to look at stories it just crashes. I have tried it with the iPhone, Apple TV and iPad. ### 1/5 — Horrible Update *2019-12-27* Back when it was the Fox 17 app you could use it to, oh, I don’t know , read the news. But now the pages don’t load half the time and even worse - the live video / news simulcasts are always predicated by the same 30 second long ad, and you have a 75% chance of the video or audio not working - and if you restart to fix that, another same 30 second ad! Once the program loads it is reporting the news from Denver. ### 1/5 — Geez, really? *2019-12-03* Can’t even put my email address in to get started on the new and supposedly improved app. I guess I’ll watch the other news apps instead. And now they want money to stop the dumb ads. Update: Ok, when in dark mode, we can’t see the words for email or password. Also couldn’t see words for the updates if you wanted them or not. Once I got out of the dark mode in my iPad settings, I could see everything. They need to fix this. ### 1/5 — Can’t see Content *2019-12-03* I just downloaded this ‘new and improved’ app for WXMI and all in app content is either white text on white background of very dark grey text on black background making it almost impossible to see. I guess I’ll be back when the new app is updated (and hopefully fixed of this issue). **Developer response:** As of December 3 at 2:55pm EST, we've just released a quick fix to resolve this bug. This app update should be available in the next few hours as the app update spreads across the App Store servers. Easy to use! ### 5/5 — Nonpartisan headlines! *2020-12-21* I enjoy the nonpartisan news updates sent to my phone via the FOX17 news app. I recently deleted other local news outlet apps because of intentional spin in favor of one politician and party. Inauguration Day for the POTUS and not a single article on this historic day.
