So when I get the warning I go to the weather channel app to get instant access. Love Kendra but not willing to wade through your commercials to get to her. When you go to scroll, sometimes the app will make you click that I accidentally while scrolling. There should be a paid version of this app that has no ads. Signal is rarely dependable. I prefer to use the radar to see what's happening for myself. I used to use y'all's radar vs the weather channel's to compare & contrast. I'm a nursing supv in a nursing home in Elberton, GA. I'm responsible for the lives of patients & employees. Not long back I took my phone to the Apple Store & since they did what they did I'm still reacquainting myself with the updated version. I'm disappointed that I do not hv access to your radar images. I appreciate your texts to warn me re: weather situations but I'm not impressed. I'm on the southern part of your area & i'v grown "numb" to the winter misses of snow forecasts that don't happen. The last forecast of snow resulted in my defying an order to spend the night in the nursing home to assure I wd be able to get work. There may hv bn snow in the northern sector but we didn't see a flake. My decision was based on my watching your radar. I hope to hv easier access to your radar soon especially since we're in the more tornado prone part of the year. ### 2/5 — Ads *2026-05-23, version 6.1.601* The app has way too many ads. If you pause it, you have to endure another ad and then it restarts from the beginning, that’s annoying. ### 2/5 — Used to be amazing *2026-03-12, version 6.1.601* A recent update made the maps significantly worse. You used to be able to customize your default view with whatever you wanted to see. Now they give you a bunch of presets that you can’t customize or remove and if you want what you used to have you have to create a new map, save it, and it gets buried in a corner. Why they made the maps worse, and for no reason, is beyond me. But I’m about to switch to the other station’s app at this point. I used to love this app, it was perfect. But the map change is inexcusable. I’m talking a fireable offense for whoever green lit this change. ### 2/5 — Didn’t tell me about the lightening storm at my house at all *2025-07-18, version 5.17.510* We had a bad storm last night, I had no notifications about any of it. Lightening was crashing all around, but you sent nothing.
