Not a fan of recent format change but doesn’t really matter because it’s old news. FOX Local does not update the news. Stories are sometimes as much as two weeks old. Inside the news stories the stories are one paragraph repeated three to four times to make it a long story. Reading the first paragraph gives you everything about the story. The remaining paragraphs are repetitive of the first paragraph. They’re also very biased. Go elsewhere for good news. ### 3/5 — Freeze *2026-07-06, version 7.13.0* Often, the app will simply freeze after opening and operating for 30 seconds or so. It does work if you close and reopen. But the is inconvenient ### 2/5 — Needs a fix *2026-06-12, version 7.12.1* I have no issue with the news side of things, I’m able to watch or read things with no issues at this time BUT… the weather side has a big flaw. When trying to check the radar, it does not resize from the small radar icon when opening it. I’m not sure if it’s a FOX29 feed issue or for all local stations nationwide. You cannot see anything on it due to this and that’s a huge oversight or a coding issue that needs to be fixed asap. ### 3/5 — Weather good, traffic bad *2026-05-26, version 7.11.0* The weather side of the app work great, it follows wherever you go. The traffic side go to eden Prairie and doesn’t follow, plus there is no recenter button. Missing spaces. Guess it just falls under yellow journalism and not really in the public’s interest. Slanted to fit a narrative Articles seem to be missing lots of detail for what they are writing about. The app fails to have a way to provide any feedback other than a contract us that they just ignore just like this feedback ### 1/5 — Poor Writing *2026-08-12, version 7.16.1* The latest upgrade has made the story images huge. They take up the entire screen on my tablet. There's no need for that. The stories are poorly written, often repeating the same information throughout.
