My initial refund request was denied because of the standard non-refundable policy. I left a review explaining the situation, and I was pleasantly surprised when FOX’s Customer Experience team reached out to me directly. They acknowledged that this was more than simply forgetting to cancel and took another look at my case. They ultimately issued a full refund as a courtesy. I still think the cancellation process and access to subscription management could be much clearer, especially when you’re unable to access the app due to regional restrictions. However, I really appreciate that FOX listened to my complaint, followed up, and ultimately made the situation right. Changing my original rating from 1 star to 4 stars because of how they handled the resolution. While Fox has fixed many bugs since the app debuted last year, there are still way too many. And for the last several days, my video keeps freezing during live TV. Some times it resumes on it’s own, but then the audio and video are out of sync. Other times it just gets stuck and I can’t do anything but force quit and restart the app, only to have it freeze again minutes later. The app wouldn’t let me stream on my phone unless I was connected to my wifi at home. Didn’t even have 4K streaming available on my Samsung tv. Contacted support and they said basically that they can’t help me. The app tells me I can only upgrade my subscription from my phone, and I need to login to the TV app to cancel. Now they’re no longer available unless I sign up. For a subscription to FOX One. They are getting as bad as CNN. ### 1/5 — Extremely frustrating experience *2026-08-11, version 1.27.0* I purchased a short-term subscription specifically to watch the World Cup and fully intended to cancel it before it renewed. However, once I traveled outside the U.S., I was unable to access the Fox Sports app at all because of the regional restrictions. This meant I couldn’t access the app’s normal subscription/cancellation options when I needed to. I was subsequently charged for another subscription period. I only later discovered that you can apparently cancel through the AI/support feature without accessing the app itself, and I canceled as soon as I found out. I contacted support to explain the situation and asked if they could refund the charge, but was simply told that the subscription was non-refundable because I had agreed to the terms. I understand having a non-refundable policy, but this was not a situation where I simply forgot to cancel. I was actively trying to cancel, but the app’s own regional access restrictions prevented me from doing so through the normal process. The fact that there was an alternative cancellation method that I didn’t even know existed does not make this a good user experience.
