### 4/5 — Fun game, good buy

*2011-05-28, version 1.09*

This is a fun game, I use it on both my iPhone & iPad. It doesn't look too bad stretched on the iPad, it would be nice to have a HD upgrade for the iPad. One small fault I notice is the Twitter integration doesn't work for me, I don't know if that is a glitch with the game or just me. Well worth buying to kill a few minutes every now and again

### 4/5 — Simple yet fun!

*2011-01-03, version 1.09*

The bg music quite soothing, too! Love this game!

### 4/5 — Really nice.

*2010-07-11, version 0*

**Now works with iOS4**

Nicely designed and a great way to waste small amounts of time (like waiting for a bus). The dev was responsive and helpful to an issue I had too. Well worth 59p.

### 4/5 — Simple attractive game

*2010-07-01, version 0*

Great looking app with simple but satisfying gameplay.
The bad: after ios4 update it refuses to open! Real shame as this is a great app. Please fix, I need my zen!

FIXED! Top job

### 3/5 — iPhone 4 - fails to run

*2010-06-30, version 0*

Was a fun game but doesn't work with iPhone 4 and latest is :-(

### 2/5 — Solid game undone in updated 4.0 software

*2010-06-29*

Until I downloaded the iPod touch 4.0 update, this was a very enjoyable and fun game. Now I can't get the game to come up when I hit the app button on the home screen. PLEASE fix this ASAP!!!!

### 3/5 — Good idea, but executed poorly

*2010-05-10*

First off let me say that I LOVE THE GRAPHICS, but that love quickly dies because it gets too repetative. I'm wondering what the mouse is used for, and I would like to play as the fox. The name is FOX vs. DUCK si shouldnt we be able to play from both perspectives. This gane definitely need some improvement. Other than that jeep it up. I expect great things from this gane.

### 2/5 — Very limited functionality

*2010-05-01*

Strange game - 1) first page is not natural to navigate, feels like most the page wasted and then some small text to click on to launch the game 2) the ducks don't look much like ducks 3) koi do not eat ducks in the real world! should be aligators or snapping turtles or something like that 3) the game rapidly gets too fast and the ducks all die. Play for maybe 1-3 minutes and end of game.

### 3/5 — Screw you fish

*2010-04-24, version 0*

Wow. It really annoys me when I land and the fish instantly eats me. He's a bit of a spawn camper. Its an o.k. game.

### 3/5 — Great idea, poor execution.

*2010-04-22*

The game is beautiful, in terms of graphical appeal. The sensitivity on the tilt controls is pretty bad. I also think there should be a custom mode, where you could add or remove obstacles such as rocks, the duck-eating fish, etc.

### 4/5 — worth it !

*2010-04-21*

It is an ok game. Visually it is done very well. gets a little boring though.

### 3/5 — Mmmmm....

*2010-04-19, version 0*

Good game but lacks depth please sort this out!

### 2/5 — Simple but Not addictive.

*2010-04-11, version 0*

Simple but Not addictive. Very slick graphic stlying doesn't make up for the overly simple gameplay. Nice to see someone putting the visual touches to a game of this kind tho.

### 1/5 — RIP to a real one

*2020-10-08*

I bought Fox vs. Duck for a few bucks...probably six years ago, when I was still on my parents’ iTunes account. I have my own now, and just remembered this game and decided to look it up to see whether it stood the test of time.

Whether or not it does, I’ll never know. Turns out, it got bought out. It’s definitely not free, but you can’t just buy it either—you have to pay for a monthly subscription to something called “GameClub,” presumably for limited access to a bunch of other games you’ll never realistically play. Another big win for rent-seeking behavior—who wants to own the games they enjoy anyway, when you could keep paying for them indefinitely instead?

Ah, well; it is what it is. Pour one out for this fun little game—it was nice while it lasted.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2012-07-21, version 1.09*

Needs an update doesn't work on my iphone 4

### 1/5 — Can't even open it

*2012-02-20, version 1.09*

Just says "the page you were looking for doesn't exist". Shocking, I want my money back. Have reinstalled 4 times...

### 1/5 — Not working

*2011-12-30, version 1.09*

Error message 502?

### 1/5 — Not great

*2010-06-29, version 0*

Just downloaded after recommendation and it won't even open - waste of money not happy:(

### 1/5 — Unresponsive, gets old

*2010-05-30*

I bought this game out of the buzz the developer created with the teaser and in Twitter, boy was I disappointed...
Controls are non responsive and the game has no replay value whatsoever. I can imagine hundreds of better apps were to spend my money. I don't even want to think where those 5 star reviews came from.

### 1/5 — Duck

*2010-04-29, version 0*

Beautiful game but man this is boring. I'd had enough after about a minute. Tip the duck out of the pond - that's it.

### 1/5 — Tedious

*2010-04-20, version 0*

Lovely design but gameplay bored me to death in seconds...

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2010-04-05, version 0*

59p for that. It's probably one of the worst games I've played it's a duck a fox and a fish for 59p. It looks quite nice but I didn't like it at all

### 1/5 — Save your money!

*2010-03-26, version 0*

Pretty, but that's it. No play again factor . So many better games out there for 59p

### 5/5 — The best instant gaming fix on the iPhone

*2014-02-18, version 1.13*

I've been putting an inane amount of time into this recently. The game, presentation and style are all perfect. It's greatest strength is it's originality which is also it's biggest problem.

When I first played I thought I had to survive in the pond for as long as possible and the game was insanely hard. It was only when I showed the game to a friend (for the graphics not the gameplay) who actually read the instructions and became instantly addicted that I realised what I was missing out on. My son thought he was controlling the fox!

I realise that the instructions couldn't be any clearer but I hate to think how many people are missing the point like I did at first. If everyone got the idea at first this would be in it's rightful place just above Doodle Jump.

### 5/5 — The BOMB

*2010-11-06, version 0*

It's awsome! And has the best art style ever!

### 5/5 — My ducks died :(

*2010-07-23*

Fun little game. It's interesting how the pond changes, keeps things different. The pickups are nice too. Keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Gameplay is simplistic, but with more depth than it might first appear.

*2010-07-05*

There is more to this than meets the eye!

Okay, no need to describe play as it has already been well documented but here are some other bits that impressed the Hell out of me in this seemingly simplistic game.

1) The obstacles in the pond are much more than eye-candy! The rocks stop you dead in your tracks while lily pads will greatly slow you down if you get snagged by them. Heck, even the little school of minnows effects your movement.

2) Saving ducks is not the only way to go. You can also try to make your way as the ultimate duck massacrer which isn't as simple as it sounds. Letting a duck get killed is simple enough but without gaining extra lives or time (depending which mode you're playing), senseless killing will only net you so many.

3) Your final ratio of saved to killed ducks will get your session a title. What is "Warm Duck" vs. "Duck Massacre"?

### 5/5 — iOS 4 update?

*2010-07-02, version 0*

Love this app, but since updating to iOS4, it crashes immediately after opening :(

Edit- thank you for fixing the problem!! Now works beautifully with iOS4!

### 5/5 — You sly app

*2010-05-04, version 0*

A great addition to any iPod. The enjoyment of having a 'Mini-Game' thats easy to understand and fun to play is great! I fancy the modern look and calming music. Good app worth the $1.19. 5 out of 5

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2010-04-28, version 0*

Beautiful calming relaxing have to say this is one of my favourite apps in fact the first one I've wanted to give a review for. The graphics and movement is lovely and gameplay incredibly simplistic yet addictive...off for another go at escaping that evil pike ! (you'll find out)

### 5/5 — Great and simple :)

*2010-04-27*

really enjoy the game! very simple... and I love the design too. looking for more game like this one. good job guy!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2010-04-17, version 0*

Great game. Wildly addictive and incredibly smoothe gameplay. Definately a must buy for 0.99$

### 5/5 — Beautiful and calming

*2010-04-07, version 0*

The more zen I feel, the better I do. Become One with the ducks, Fox and the pond itself. Not the pike though, Pike is evil.
