Get rid of this update, revert to the old version if necessary. If not, then at least demote or fire the person responsible for this monstrosity. Much harder to navigate, tiny almost impossible picture for old eyes to see, non-descriptive one-liner for headline, same item repeated day after day. A real travesty compared to what has been my first choice for morning news app every day. The search is absolutely terrible - like I can type in the exact headline I get on a push notification and still not find the article. The ads are horrendous and often take over the whole page. So I hardly ever take the time to open for an article - just read a headline. I was hopeful for the latest update because it was a major UI change but now I can’t clear the red circle notification on the top of the app icon on my home screen no matter how many times I come in to clear the notifications page in-app. So I’ll probably end up deleting the stupid thing. ### 1/5 — Don’t like *2026-03-08, version 8.0.1* Can’t. Short of silencing the phone, which also silences incoming calls and messages, there’s no way to turn off the audio from the newsreels.
