Ads pop-up constantly and the radar does not work and will immediately close the app out. It’s been the best weather app, until recently anyway. Some marketing genius thought hijacking your screen and forcing you to watch an advertisement was a good idea. Ads that look like my iPhone screen with virus alerts hijack my screen. Are you seriously stupid? Fire your marketing team! Rule 1 of software development: NEVER lock the user into something they can’t get out of. Attrition will be the next phase. I’m deleting the app. I will never be forced by anyone to watch something I have ZERO interest in. The most recent ad says “WARNING” “Your APPLE Id is Locked”. I know many people would be concerned seeing a message like that and click - especially the elderly. There have been several other ads that say my iPhone has been compromised. Both of these screens have “press here to solve this problem” indicating that these are going to try to sell you something you don’t need by scaring you into pressing to correct the problem. So now besides having to deal with neon pop up adds on this weather app, we are now subjected to completely deceptive ones too. It’s a shame that what had been my favorite one for 10+ years has been ruined not just with ads but with loss of functionality. I had hoped the developer would read all the negative comments and make some much needed changes, or just put it back to the previous version. I’m seriously considering just deleting it. 😐 Update: this app just keeps going downhill! On the main screen there are two big neon green boxes flashing quickly, advertising something, giving me a headache. I’m glad I don’t have epilepsy! And now there’s no info on any of the other screens. What gives? I have family in Florida and this app provides the ability to see hurricane tracks and to see weather conditions in other cities. But I have one small problem. I was under a severe thunderstorm watch, and I remember seeing stuff about rain and hail and all that. But when I pressed play on the rain/hail thing it didn’t show any hail and just rain.
