I tried for a few days to scroll without accidentally clicking on it, but it still happens. I think I have had this app as long as I have had an iPhone, so maybe like 17 years and I’m deleting it because I’m tired of having to close windows I didn’t intentionally open. Also, whatever “feel free” is, yeah I’ve heard about it now, but I will never ever buy it if that’s your strategy. I will try again in a month or two and see if it’s fixed. ### 2/5 — App crashes everyday! *2025-09-18* I am writing to report recurring issues with the FOX 31 app on my iPhone. The app crashes consistently whenever I watch a newscast and it transitions to a commercial break. This happens every day without fail. I have confirmed that my internet connection is stable and that other apps function properly, so the issue appears to be specific to the FOX 31 app on iPhone. In addition, the broadcasts are frequently cut off early for commercials, and when the program returns, it often resumes halfway through a segment. This makes it difficult to follow the news and is becoming increasingly frustrating, especially when I am unable to use my Apple TV, where the app does not experience these problems. ### 2/5 — Freezes *2025-09-11, version 500.9.0* App freezes and just shuts off! ### 3/5 — I would quickly upgrade to 5* if you could cast or airplay the video *2025-02-17* I finally downloaded the app today because I would much rather watch local news that terribly unentertaining women’s basketball coverage. I changed from channel 4 thinking fox was more conservative. They sort of are. But I never know what the weather will be, it’s always going to be coming up. The 70% screen on my iPad is literally filled with ads!!! Sometimes you can’t see the fox pages because of all the ads. You need to close each ad manually if the close button works, 50% of the time it doesn’t. It takes about a minute to close the ads. Each new page or link has another barrage of ads. If I wanted to see CW 2 or news (nation,max,or whatever) I would look for their apps. ### 1/5 — Live stream is a trial *2025-10-29* Was informed that live streaming trial had ended and I would be required to log in through an email link after requesting they send me a one time use link to my email. I tried to remain logged in to watch the 9pm news but was required to log out, request a new email link and log back in through the new link. To many “hoops” to jump through just to watch the news. Reload” and it stays like that. This used to be a good app. I am tired of removing it and reinstalling it to just get the same results. The constant public service announcements get old too. I know they get funding for their ads but I see those then get the black screen. I got the app for the news. I had to dig around to find it. The front page had lots of stories about sports ball, and even a 2 month old story about avoiding Christmas scams. it’s February, a story about shootings on the highway should rank a little higher than garbage Christmas pieces!
