I can get a daily summary with brief text from anywhere, so this became just another app. ### 2/5 — No good anymore! *2024-09-22, version 5.15.401* This used to be my go-to weather app. Not anymore! What happened to the dew point? No longer shows up on my app but does on my husband’s. I even rebooted my iPhone and deleted and reinstalled and still nothing. Sad, now I don’t know which weather app to download that doesn’t have a million pop up adds 🙄 ### 2/5 — Ads block weather info *2024-07-14, version 5.15.401* This used to be my go-to weather app. But recently, they have introduced full-page ads that block the visibility of the weather data. When you need to see a radar map quickly because a line of storms is coming toward you, seconds can count during a warning. This kind of app is not the place to play hide-and-seek with an ad. However, as a person who suffers from heat sensitivity, I wish this weather app would have a dew point forecast. It would be very useful for me to know what to expect so I can plan accordingly. UPDATE: Still no dew point forecast and now it has completely been removed from the opening weather details screen. I used to watch it twice a day without this. I no longer need the app on my phone. ### 1/5 — Huh?? *2026-03-15, version 6.1.601* If you click on Daily it says today’s high will be 44. When you click on Hourly so see when it’s supposed to hit 44, no hour today is higher than 39. Happens all the time with this app. Get is synched up please? Today says high of 51. Click on hourly to see when it’ll hit 51 and the highest temperature hour is 36 degrees. ?????? ### 1/5 — Consistently Contradicts Itself *2025-06-12, version 5.17.508* The hourly forecast will show a high of 68°F. Then if you go to the daily forecast it shows a high of 79° how can you be this blatantly off!? Your live forecasts on TV have been abysmal for at least 1.5-2 years now but this app is now even more off than that! ### 1/5 — Wrong temps *2025-04-17, version 5.17.508* I’ve used this app for so long. Then no updates on forecast. Now sound is garbled and disappears on video forecasts. Is this app going defunct? Reinstall did not work. ### 1/5 — Purposely have no way to contact them *2023-12-27, version 5.12.700* This weather app is so bad the Fox six, and it’s developers have absolutely no method to reach out to them to point out things that are either dysfunctional within the app or straight out whether errors. Most recent case in point is that the weather forecast for Menomonee Falls Wisconsin for tomorrow, Thursday, December 27, 2023 states on the main 10 day outlook that there is a 30% chance of precipitation… But when you open up the actual date for more details it literally says rain and snow showers in the morning changing to all rain in the afternoon chance of precipitation 70%! That’s just incompetence… and that’s on the weather staff at Fox six in Milwaukee that they don’t have their people checking that their outer layer data such as 30% chance of precept matches the inner layer which is 70%. And we’re supposed to trust them to be our provider? I took a screen capture of it but unfortunately, apples review software doesn’t allow one to paste a screen capture for some unknown reason. And if this wasn’t just a random incident, why wouldn’t they have a clear and obvious link called “contact us“ with sub links to say, submit, a complement, whether errors, pages, not loading, etc.? You can find better more trustworthy apps out there for Milwaukee area weather. ### 1/5 — No audio!!!!! *2023-09-20, version 5.11.501* This app is great, weather alerts, radar, I’ve used it for years & I love it. EXCEPT when you go to watch the latest weather update & there is no sound on the video- for days at a time!! Turn on notifications, make sure my phone isn’t on silent, crank up the volume all the way. Nothing. Go to the Fox 6 website instead to watch it, still no audio. What’s the deal? Is nobody double checking this stuff? It’s a bit disappointing. ### 1/5 — Keeps trying to open my PDFs and eBooks… *2022-11-18, version 5.7.107* Exactly what the title says. Not sure why but things like PDFs and eBooks (such as from Kindle) default to being opened by the Fox 6 Weather app as long as I have it installed. It’s majorly weird. I’ll be sticking to the Android version on my Samsung Galaxy for now. ### 1/5 — I hate apple product *2021-07-24, version 5.3.400* Every time I opened this app a pop up asks if I want to update. Every time I hit “update” it took me to the App Store where I could open it but not update it. When you download the new app, it is separate from the old one. ### 4/5 — Where did the dew point go *2024-06-25, version 5.15.401* My husbands phone is identical to mine - he still has the dew point showing up on the main screen - mine has disappeared I shut the phone down restarted it removed the app and reloaded nothing is bringing it back . What happened to this function ? And is there a way to correct this ? I know , like I said it is not the iPhone since hubs works fine I also noted that your radar has been acting weird as well the last few weeks - showing severe weather and it is blue skies and sunny so something is not right thanks ### 4/5 — Great app BUT… *2023-06-22* I love this app and use it often to follow the weather conditions wherever I am. Can we get a different background? *2020-08-15, version 5.0.802* This is a huge step forward for the Fox 6 Storm Center App. The only thing is, it would be nice if we could get a different background behind the daily and hourly forecasts. The current background is just too busy. Looking at some other channels in the area that use the same base app (e.g. Channel 3000, NBC 15, CBS 58), the background isn’t as busy and makes the content more legible. When I try to scroll through the main page, such as looking at the hourly information, the view jumps to the hourly tab without me choosing it, allowing me little to no time to read that info on the main page. If I want the hourly tab, let me, the user, click on it. This seems to be a relatively new change. As a side note, this review page seems to be the only way to provide feedback. There are no avenues in the app itself to share this kind of feedback. It would be helpful if you added a pathway on the app itself to share this kind of information. ### 3/5 — Too many ads *2024-07-24, version 5.15.401* When I updated the app a couple weeks ago, ads show up on the hourly and daily sections, and lots of them! And it’s not always reliable. I just wanted to check for an hourly forecast for my area and ONLY ads came up when I scrolled from top to bottom; the same for the daily section.
