My only grievance is that, when using it, it turns off all media. I typically use it 5 times a day when I’m in my shop. The only problem with it is that for no good reason it always mutes audio from whatever source I happen to be listening to, and then to make matters worse, you have to hit play on your music app to resume listening. I don’t know why the developers thought this was necessary, I don’t know. ### 4/5 — Handy, quick reference *2020-08-25, version 2.0.0* First, the “bad” that I’d like to see changed. The app includes sound “click” effects which are completely unnecessary. It’s possible to mute the sound; however, it still plays in the background. The result is that using the app turns off any music or podcast you are listening to while you work. It’s annoying and disappointing. There’s no need to hear the app click. We know we’re entering data into the app. If the developer reads these reviews, PLEASE update the app to fix the sound effects problem. Now, I’m not a professional technician or tradesman, but I am a DYI “Johnny Homeowner”. Once you get the hang of using this app, it’s pretty handy for making quick, on-the-fly measurement calcs. I’ve used it for a number of things from simple tasks like measuring wallpaper and hanging pictures to more complex jobs like designing a free-standing acoustic isolation chamber for vocal recording in a home studio. I took a star off because some fraction conversions (reducing, etc.) along with calculating can be tricky and I found them not to be completely intuitive. You have to actually learn how to use the app. I have the paid version which provides conversions between fractions and decimals. The other half is paywalled. I needed to convert only two sets of numbers.
