(Digitally) more to SEA! Discover the exhibitions and aquariums at the OZEANEUM on Stralsund's harbour island with the German Oceanographic Museum's App "Ask Walfred!". Porpoise Walfred, your digital companion, provides you with all the information you need for your visit. He also helps you find your way around with 360° views and maps of all levels of the museum.

Walfred guides you through the OZEANEUM along digital spots in search of virtual herrings. Together with Walfred you can explore the OZEANEUM level by level, learn interesting facts about the aquariums and exhibitions, the sea on your doorstep and get exciting insights into the museum work "behind the scenes".
In a daily updated overview you will find all events, guided tours, feeding times and promotions. You can be notified in good time via a Push Notification so that you don't miss anything.

The app was funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of the joint project museum4punkt0.

Du kommst rein und es klingt alles gut. er erklärt dir alles und es wird an dich angepasst (also wenn du im Rollstuhl sitzt und einen Kinderwagen dabei hast). Im Haus gibt es free WLAN welches man nutzen kann. Damit man die Inhalte nicht herunterladen muss. Die Heringe kann man gut finden. Sobald man jedoch einen Scannt fängt der Guide an dir etwas zu erklären das finde ich sehr gut doch er erklärt sehr viel und du musst nach fast jeder Nachricht von ihm etwas darauf antworten was echt blöd ist das du dann den ganzen Besuch im Museum vor dem Handy bist um die Fragen zu beantworten. Ich würde es so machen dass wenn du einen Hering gescannt hast dass du dann einen Text bekommst den du in einer Minute durchlesen kannst und wenn du es durchgelesen hast kannst du dann ein oder zwei Fragen zum Text beantworten wenn du diese richtig hast bekommst du den Herring

Die App braucht man im Grunde nicht. Zuerst mal wird angeboten, dass man die Inhalte vorab downloaden kann, aber das hat fast zehn Anläufe gebraucht. Der Download stoppt und startet erst nach App Neustart. Im Museum selbst ist fast nirgends Empfang - die App startet aber ohne Netzempfang scheinbar nicht und friert auf dem Startbildschirm ein. Erst als wir ganz oben im Freien waren, startete die App. Die Kompasssuche war auch wenig ergiebig. Kurzum, einfach nicht installieren, lohnt sich nicht.
