However, when one transaction wasn’t verified automatically, support repeatedly asked for information that I had already provided, including screenshots showing the linked card. It felt like my case wasn’t being reviewed carefully. However a few months ago they changed their credit card tracking system and now none of my purchases are being recognized to earn cash back. Kinda defeats the purpose of using this app. Fix this app the way it was so I can earn cash back on my purchases once again and I will update my rating. ### 3/5 — Eh *2026-07-17* They changed the rules recently regarding receipts and didn’t notify customers clearly, so they refused to issue cashback for numerous transactions. I even pointed out the wording in their FAQ/help section of the app and their response was basically, “too bad, you messed up.” There’s also an error with the app and my login. I’ve tried updating and resetting password and even wrote them about it, but no one wrote me back. Also, the app has constantly deleted my card. What is this company’s response? They blamed me and told me to not remove my card! The even said I wasn’t getting card back because my card wasn’t linked. This app is good when it works but their customer service is lacking tremendously, and they aren’t nice at all when a problem is brought up. Do better. **Developer response:** Hi Catherine! I want to remain loyal on this app because I want to keep and support using this app throughout. I will give you guys the five stars if the issues regarding cash back has been fixed and remain consistent. ### 1/5 — Used to be good *2026-07-12, version 2.38.0* Before when we had it connected to our bank to track our transactions, it used to be so much easier to get cash back. But now with this disconnect, and even when I would send in the receipts like they ask, they don’t reward me with the cash back. Their reasoning? Because I activated the offer not even a few hours after the purchase, it was the same day! Like are you kidding? Safe to say I’m done with this app. I can’t even withdraw the current amount that I have in there. They said they’ll send an email to confirm the withdrawal request, I sent it twice and nothing. ### 1/5 — A Headache *2026-07-09, version 2.38.0* The 25% cashback promo is a scam to incentivize people to go to mediocre establishments and wait until the offer expires so they don’t have to pay you. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-07-09* Rewards are useless if you can’t withdraw them. I’ve been unable to connect any of my financial accounts to my Franki account for over two months, which means I still can’t withdraw the rewards I’ve earned. I’ve contacted Franki customer support multiple times. The last response I received was on June 28, 2026: “Our team is already looking into it. We appreciate your patience and will get back to you with more details as soon as possible.” Since then, I’ve received no updates, no follow-up, and no solution. It’s extremely frustrating to earn rewards that are impossible to access. If this is a widespread issue, it should be treated as a high priority. Two months without a resolution is simply unacceptable. **Developer response:** We completely understand your frustration, and we are so sorry we missed the mark on this one. Two months is far too long to wait for a resolution, and we want to get this sorted out for you immediately. Now my bank disconnects and you have to upload receipts to get cash back, creating one more step of work to get the payout. Prior I felt like the app was trying to help me get cash back, and the updated process makes me feel like they don’t want me to get my cash by making more work. A little mistrust now, but still like the cash back concept. ### 1/5 — Don’t recommend anymore *2026-07-06, version 2.38.0* I’ve been a long time user and fan of Franki, but the apps become full of issues and bugs now. Cashback for transactions don’t work when you try to deposit them to your account. And cashback for reviews you post are no longer awarded. Have spoken with their customer support team repeatedly and they only tell you to try again- without any actual solutions. Very disappointing and do not recommend wasting your time ### 1/5 — used to be great *2026-07-06, version 2.38.0* the app used to be great, rewards were simple and sharing food places with the community were fun. I used to be able to post videos for rewards easily but now it seems like Franki picks and chooses what I can get rewarded on. The mandatory receipt upload is awful as it takes days for them to validate it. ### 1/5 — Not worth using *2026-07-05, version 2.38.0* I had high hopes for this app but it fell incredibly short. It’s more frustrating than worth my time. Half the receipts go through fine, then the other half ask to be “resubmitted”. I always resubmit the same receipt photo and it’s either accepted or the app does nothing and then it shows “expired”. I’ve contacted support on the “expired” items that have perfectly fine receipts and have never received a response. They need to work on their receipt approval software and customer support. 1/5 stars is generous. ### 2/5 — Dissatisfied *2026-07-02, version 2.38.0* So many changes lately that do not give out any more rewards even after you follow all steps and submit receipts. Support doesn’t get back to you anymore either, such a disappointment. Definitely not worth keeping ### 1/5 — Payout withdraw broken *2026-07-01, version 2.38.0* Hopefully this is a bug but it seems that Franki is not allowing Payout withdrawal. I keep getting “Processing delay” screen and never really received the email verification. Contacted support and no response. Is this app still active? ** update: added “community team” to the original support email request, waiting for response. ### 2/5 — Was great.. *2026-06-30* This app was pretty great. Had seamless integration with your debit and credit cards. But ever since they switched over to having to upload receipts for debit card transactions, the credit card integration has continuously failed. So now even though you apply to get the cash back per restaurant, it hardly ever goes through or even requests you to upload the receipt. I get the tech is always changing and it’s probably a good reason why they had to switch over but it has not been consistent and is just failing now. And yes I tried to remove my card and add it back in a number of times. Hope they can resolve these bugs. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for the candid and detailed feedback. Not anymore. Now you have to upload every single receipt, which means requesting printed receipts when text or email isn't available. Way to go on sustainability. They've also quietly changed the rules so you have to activate before making a purchase. Before, I'd activate afterward since I don't always remember a business has Franki rewards. Now they're denying cashback for that, and it's not even consistent. Same day, two different businesses, same activate-after process for both, and one went through while the other got declined. Make it make sense. On top of that, they declined a receipt upload claiming the date was missing, so I had to reupload the exact same photos with the date circled, when it was clearly visible the first time. Pointless. Now I get why the recent reviews are all one stars lol. This app is getting worse, not better. I'm withdrawing every credit I have and deleting it for good. ### 1/5 — Really liked this app until it stopped working *2026-08-03, version 2.40.0* The app worked really well and was super simple to use back then! I didn’t even really mind after they started implementing the required screenshots. Slightly inconvenient but I can understand. But I would take the time to grab screenshots of receipts just to have my request rejected without any reason. After reuploading more, still rejected. Seems like the app just completely stopped working after the receipt screenshot requirement. Wasted a lot of time retrieving those too. From the creator fund, to cash back, receipts, and video uploads - making this app obsolete. ### 1/5 — Made me do so many tasks without giving me cashback *2026-07-27, version 2.40.0* This is the first of many restaurant cash-back apps I’ve installed that seems like an absolute fraud so far. It makes you complete all these small tasks, link credit cards, and submit receipts, but I haven’t received payment after 3 days despite doing all of those (the app says cashbacks get deposited within minutes). App used to be ok, lately I’ve had multiple receipts denied and there is never a response why provided. I’ve doe the contact us and it’s crickets. Basically use it and maybe you get the 5% and maybe you don’t. Are they not getting their funding and just cut rewards when they feel like it? ### 1/5 — Was 5 stars, now 1 star *2026-07-17, version 2.39.0* So you link a credit card and you use to get credit for dinning now you still have a credit card linked but now have to submit your receipt to get your reward. Additionally the local based services on this app along with finding a restaurant by name is very suspect as an example and if you don’t add the apostrophe sign it won’t find your restaurant. The IT department seems unresponsive to simple requests. It was once 5 stars but no longer bring back the old Franki way of validating charges. I have YET to find a restaurant that you have that doesn’t require a receipt to get paid, and I eat out a lot using the Franki app over 10 times per week. What happened to PLAID too that linked our credit cards to Franki and now you only take Mastercard and Visa, no AMEX or Discover card Updated 7-17-26 now 1 star We go to a local taco place that offers 15% cash back if you use your credit card on file with FRANKI for the past 8 Tuesdays in a row we have received 1 reward it’s truly dreadful and the customer service is basically nonexistent. It was great for a file but now really not worth it. We are hoping that FRANKI will get better but we have very little hope. They claim they were working on it, but like other users mentioned it was just connected to someone else’s bank account and all my rewards were withdrawn. What a waste. Never got my money back. Support was completely useless and kept pushing it off for over four months. Absolute scam, if you want to avoid payouts why use such a shady way to trick people. My bank account suddenly disconnected on its own and support was not able to help retrieve my transactions after disconnecting and reconnecting my accounts.
