### 5/5 — Best game ever!

*2012-07-02*

This is the greatest game ever created. What a bliss.

### 5/5 — Whimsical and creative

*2012-07-02*

Delightful art and music and a pretty funny story are the treat here. The trick is some rather dodgy voice acting. It's not the best rhythm game out there, but for free I can think of worse ways to spend an hour.

### 5/5 — Incredible game!

*2012-06-25*

Definitely one of the top music based games available! The story line is so entertaining, the music beautiful and captivating. A definite game to recommend! Can't wait for more songs to come!

### 5/5 — Brilliant tracks, story

*2012-05-30*

Music games are all about the tracks, and this one has some very innovative takes on the classical compositions met to the theme of the level. Good replayability becuase the music is good and you just want to give your favorite tracks another listen.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2012-04-21*

Love it really additive game play. Great story line!
5 stars !!

### 5/5 — Totally worth it

*2012-04-08*

This app is great. I played the first three stages and had a great time both playing the music game and making it through the story. The game is very much in line with other music/rhythm games, but since you play with a virtual keyboard on the iPad, it relates a bit more to a real piano than, say, a guitar hero guitar. The music is all from classics of Frederic Chopin, but remixed to match your modern adversaries as you make your way through the game. The art style is great and, once you are comfortable enough with a song, you can start paying attention to all the stuff that goes on in the background as the camera pans across the "stage" and the various characters. No need to be a piano player to enjoy this game. I'm currently playing on normal and I'm not having too much trouble making my way through. There are two difficulty levels above that, which I have not tried yet. Overall, great production value and good musical fun.

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2012-03-10*

This is a lot of super fun. I would like to see a sequel.

### 5/5 — musicality!

*2012-03-03*

this game is great on so many levels! the art is really good! the music is wonderful! (i love hearing how the originals are redone to fit the genres). also the story had great humor! i really liked this game! i had one issue with lag on my ipad 1st gen, which is that the game play and music were slightly out of sync directly after a story cut scene, but as soon as i paused and restarted the level the lag was fixed. it could be that i need to update my ios tho. none the less i enjoyed every minute of this fantastic game and very much agree with the underlying message regarding the music industry. this is easily one of my all time favorite music games! great work!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2012-03-02*

I almost never write reviews, but these guys deserve credit.
If you liked eleite beat agents on DS then this has all the wacky character wrapped up in a an equally absorbing rythm action game. The mechanics work brialliantly, with loads of variety in the tunes.
Basically-totally recommended, and an absolute bargain! Thanks.

### 5/5 — bored of guitar hero

*2012-02-14*

ahhhh! breath of fresh air... completely reinvigorates rhythm action ( melody action?) and is so compulsive ive forgotten everything i was supposed to do ths evening.

puts a great big smile on your face when playing it well.... but!! first level is a poor starter for the game, the music is a dull drone compared to the catchy numbers later on.

still! its my fave download for ages... and i download LOADS!

deserves to be huge, but the stylings of it may be too quirky for some. anyway, just go n get it!

### 5/5 — Amazing Rhythm Game

*2012-02-14*

I have just finished this game on normal. Reviews can't really explain is game. You just have to try it. It has music, a storyline, achievements, even a competition! Glad I bought this.

### 5/5 — Quite Unique

*2012-02-13*

I must say, I've never played anything quite like this before. It's a lot of fun, and a totally different take on music/rythm games.
I have the same issue as everyone else though, why on earth doesn't the screen rotate? I mean really, did the developers not have anyone with a smart cover on an iPad 2 play this before they released it? I'm not going to take off a star for it, I just hope they fix it soon.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on ios 14.3 iPhone 12 - sequel game does work (I bought the bundle )

*2020-12-21*

Shouldn’t be selling it or needs update. App Store said it would work.

### 1/5 — Doesnt have all Notes like other platforms

*2019-05-14*

I played this on my brother’s Nintendo Switch and I loved it, then I bought it for iPad but even on the Chopin difficulty it doesn't have the full notes as it does in the Switch. It is a trimmed version of it.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2012-01-25*

Crashes all the time. I have yet to get past the "wear headphones" screen. WTF!!!! fix this !

### 2/5 — Meh

*2012-07-01*

It is ok for free. The voice acting is some of the worst ever, worth a download just for that.

### 4/5 — Musical Excellence

*2014-10-10*

This app succeeds in modernising Chopin's music for a new generation to enjoy. Specifically designed for headphones is a nice touch though it's perfectly fine without them. Original story, likeable protagonist, comical villains, good price and a well balanced challenge on all difficulty levels. A perfect blend of fun and accurate gameplay, as a bonus it also has Bluetooth multiplayer. The only downsides are freezing bugs for in-app downloads: both purchasing and restoring. Overall it is a superb game.

### 4/5 — So much potential! But not the best for now

*2013-05-19*

I played more the game, so I needed to change my review.

The game is awesome. The idea is awesome.
Full of music that mix Chopin's classical music with other styles. Great musics, by the way. It's a shame that there aren't lots of them. The level system is not very challenging... If you're used to rhythm games, you will have fun, but almost no challenge, even at level Chopin. But the game is very cool.

However, 2 things make me a little sad.
- Ending of the story mode: I still think that the end says something like "Modern is better than old", what is contraditorious with the rest of the game.
- Shaking an iPad at the middle of a song: That is unacceptable for me, sorry. The golden notes make me mad all the time, but popping a sign to shake my iPad (what I almost never did in the game) everytime make me angry A LOT.

### 4/5 — I admit I skip the storyline

*2012-08-28*

This game is is a joy to play. It has unique gameplay and some wonderful takes on classic music. My only problems with it are the golden notes and the prompt to shake the iPad. Neither add to the gameplay for me. I would much rather one of the upcoming notes turned gold than to have to chase after a disappearing gold note all the while missing the notes I am supposed to play. So, I just ignore both. The fact that you can ignore both safely and still progress tells me they are unnecessary additions.

### 4/5 — Great

*2012-07-21*

Except for the voice acting... I hate it so much I skipped all the comic cutscenes... As for gameplay, this is way better than tap tap or other music games on the AppStore. Music is very catchy, well arranged. Needs more pieces though. Right now ther are only like ten pieces, wh ich is very quick to play through. But you will still enjoy this game, so download right now

### 4/5 — So real care went into this game

*2012-07-12*

And it shows. The bonkers story gives the game character and heart. The music is catchy and the game becomes challenging on the harder difficulties. I can't believe a fun music game comes along when you think the genre is dead.

### 4/5 — Fun, unusual take on the style.

*2012-01-26*

The new version fixed all of the stability problems I was experiencing on iPad 1. It seems they also made some of the patterns a bit more like the way they sound. Complex/long runs seem more achievable.

This is a really neat game. The graphics are really nice, the story is campy and fun, the English voice overs are so bad they are good. The music is decent, and includes some time signatures that are rare in this kind of game. It's really fun to play a song with a mixed meter for a change!

I am looking forward to the sequel.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2016-06-05*

Both games have become my absolute favourite, go-to apps. Whether I'm bored in a waiting room, stressed out and need to unwind a bit, or laying in bed unable to sleep... these games have come to my rescue! Between the wonderful and humorous storytelling, the engaging and light hearted art, the puntastic and fantastic use of artists and composers both modern and classical, and the very obvious and much appreciated hard work that's gone into developing the music - that both pays homage to the original pieces, as well as twisting and tweaking them in creative ways... these games are sure to make you laugh and smile and have fun! I play and have played both games over and over, and will continue to do so. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made. I can only hope they might make a third?!

### 5/5 — More, more, more!!!

*2015-07-28*

Chopin is my favorite composer. To find such a creative and fun game made in his honor was a joy to me. I adored the game in every way. The illustrations were very well-done and funny, as were the additional characters. Loved it! I'll be checking for more!

### 5/5 — AMAZING and SO ADDICTING!

*2013-02-17*

This is by far the best rhythm/music game that I've ever played. Fun for musicians and music lovers, and worth spending the extra $.99 to unlock the arena levels which are so challenging and so much fun. I've recommended this to many people and will continue to do so.

Great job developers/team! Please do bring us more levels in the future. :)

### 5/5 — Excellent title, excellent music

*2012-12-13*

A fun, but simple, music game involving the great music of the famous Frederic Chopin. Each song is wonderfully remixed to suit Frederic's travels in the 21st century. If you like music games, especially with a well told story, buy this game!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!

*2012-11-12*

Very very fun and entertaining. I love the story and gameplay. I must download. If you like piano style playing like "smule" games, this is for you. Also gives you an immersive storyline, and multiplayer.

### 5/5 — So Nice!

*2012-10-10*

It's so great! I love those versions of Chopin's music and the animations are awesome. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Love it!

Great artwork and entertaining story. Intuitive gameplay. Love the remixes!

### 5/5 — Love this app
