I got so fed up I'm deleting on principle. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2015-09-29* Could have been good but: 1) distracting ads, and 2) prompts to 'upgrade' are so utterly annoying. Nothing wrong with getting paid for your work, but it should not be at the expense of creating a chess app which is simple, beautiful and enjoyable to use. ### 1/5 — One puzzle? Really? *2015-05-25* Only one puzzle... And it is the basic "fools mate" lesson. Very simple. It usually doesn't register taps, so it takes several attempts to make a move. The "puzzles" start off with terrible 1 move checkmates like the Fool's Mate. After I did a few of these and it nagged me to upgrade, saying I only had 20 puzzles left on the 'Lite' version, I deleted it and paid a dollar for a real app. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2013-01-07* Wasn't even able to do one puzzle. Crashed upon opening and could never get it to work. Not sure how this got passed Apple. ### 1/5 — Poor design *2012-08-19* Often goes back on puzzles you have already completed after switch off. The number of the current puzzle seems to get stuck on the number 10. The Ranking of king ect or the level brown does not make sense.......use numbers not pieces or colours to give a ranking!!! Move ratio and game count often wrong The streaks are very often wrong ### 5/5 — Uggh *2012-03-10, version 1.0* What a terrible game! You're only allowed to move the exact piece the game expects you to. If you don't, the game halts with an error screen. Memphis Chess club and the "mate in x" games are so much better than this one.
