So every level you play you get a popup message asking you upgrade. I got so fed up I'm deleting on principle.

Could have been good but: 1) distracting ads, and 2) prompts to 'upgrade' are so utterly annoying. Nothing wrong with getting paid for your work, but it should not be at the expense of creating a chess app which is simple, beautiful and enjoyable to use.

Only one puzzle... And it is the basic "fools mate" lesson. Very simple. Not worth downloading

The user interface is crap.  It usually doesn't register taps, so it takes several attempts to make a move.  The "puzzles" start off with terrible 1 move checkmates like the Fool's Mate.  After I did a few of these and it nagged me to upgrade, saying I only had 20 puzzles left on the 'Lite' version, I deleted it and paid a dollar for a real app.

Wasn't even able to do one puzzle. Crashed upon opening and could never get it to work. Not sure how this got passed Apple.

Often goes back on puzzles you have already completed after switch off.
The number of the  current puzzle seems to get stuck on the number 10.
The Ranking of king ect or the level brown does not make sense.......use numbers not pieces or colours to give a ranking!!!
Move ratio and game count often wrong
The streaks are very often wrong

What a terrible game! You're only allowed to move the exact piece the game expects you to. If you don't, the game halts with an error screen. Memphis Chess club and the "mate in x" games are so much better than this one. Don't bother!

Nice app, I found it really fun I'm thinking about buying the full version and I probably will , definitely give it a go it's really good, and kind of challenging but not to hard,, the perfect amount, and a bit of comedy at the same time,,, well done to the maker

I loved the humour when I got a wrong move, it made learning fun! This App helped me to progress from being an absolute beginner to having a better insight into the game. I would like the hint to not be so speedy though as when it does the correct move at the speed of light it is difficult to follow! Maybe instead of doing a sudden leap the piece could slowly take up the correct place - or have an arrow pointing out the route it took like in the very first starting example? Otherwise this is a nice friendly App and effective.
