Has a lot of AI generated cover art not sure if the books are made with AI but the cover art is. With all that being said there are some interesting stories on here. The app is beautifully designed listening to the stories is simple and quick if you want to read they give you that option well just know that the app isn’t free. It’s paywalled. You get a trial period and then you pay afterwards. Early on the seventh day, hours before my subscription expired, I was charged $39.99 for an annual subscription. This was a premature decision for FREEBOOKS. Apple refused to honor my request for a refund. By the way, these books are low quality and read by an AI reader. Everything on this app is AI . They use bots to confuse you into thinking the “books” are interesting. It’s disheartening. The authors don’t exist either . Some stories even mention “Ai” to sound more natural. Then they ask you to pay for more AI slop. Like for instance, I LOVE to read but my attention span has changed greatly due to some neurological problems that I’ve been dealing with. So this app will remind me to just do a 10 minute session and up as I feel comfortable. I love audible books too. That ends up making me fall asleep and I don’t know when I knocked out. So just doing a 10 minute audio session with an alarm will help me too. I’ve got to get those neurological brain waves and muscles back into shape. I feel having to not worry about paying for it, helps a lot for me!!!
