## What is FreeCell Levels?

From beginners to masters.
FreeCell Levels is FreeCell with a difficulty you choose — and nothing else in the way.

• Four tiers from Easy to Nightmare, for beginners and experts alike
• Stuck in a tough spot? Hints show you the moves that solve it
• Tracks whether you've solved each of the 32,000 deals, so you can come back and retry any of them — even the ones that beat you

■ Difficulty
All 32,000 deals have been solved in advance and sorted into four tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard, and
Nightmare. A new deal is picked from the tier you chose, among the ones you haven't solved yet.

■ Hints
Stuck? A hint solves the game from where you are and shows the next move. Keep following the hints and you'll see the way through.
Each hint is the next move of the shortest line it finds from the current position.
If the position can no longer be solved, the hint goes back to one that can and shows the next move from there.
Your remaining hints carry over between deals, and solving a deal earns one hint for each star you get.
When you run out, you can watch an ad for three more — your choice, every time.

■ Progress and retries
Every deal has a number from 1 to 32,000, and the same number always gives the same layout.
The deals you've solved are recorded, and you can see how many you've solved in each tier.
Deals you've played can also be listed by most recent, so you can find the ones you didn't solve and try again.
You can also pick a deal by number — handy for replaying one you liked, or playing the same one as a friend.

■ Par and stars
Each deal has a par. Solve it for one star, add one for finishing within par moves and one for finishing within par time.
Undo and redo count as moves, too. Your five best results are kept for every deal,
and your fewest-move solution is saved so you can replay it move by move.

■ Play
Tap or drag. Legal destinations are outlined. Cards that can go home are moved for you.
Undo and redo as far as you like.

■ Looks
Classic, two-tone, or four-color suits; beige, mint, or night themes; three card sizes;
a high-contrast option. Works on iPad too.

■ What it doesn't do
No ads interrupt your win. No account, no notifications, no leaderboard uploads.
Records and games in progress stay on your device.

■ How to play
Eight columns, four free cells at the top left, four foundations at the top right.
Build columns down in alternating colors; build foundations up from Ace by suit.
Fill all four foundations to King to win.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-25

■ Hints
Hints now carry over between deals, and solving a deal earns one hint for each star.

■ Stars and moves
Stars now count moves and time separately — you earn the time star even if you go over par moves. Undo and redo now count as moves.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-22

■ Hints
Hints now follow the shortest line the solver finds, worked out the same way as par, so following them keeps par within reach. If your position can no longer be solved, the hint goes back to one that can and shows the move from there.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-20

■ Replays
Your solution is now saved when you win — the one with the fewest moves for each deal. Open a deal's records to replay it move by move.

■ Records
Sort by Recent to see the deals you played last, including the ones you haven't solved yet. Tap the selected sort again to flip the order.

■ Stars
The par time for three stars is a little more generous. Past wins get their stars recounted, too.

■ Fixes
• Time and moves could run together in the records list
• The button for picking a deal number is easier to spot

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-17

Fixed two bugs that could happen when you move a card while autoplay is sending cards home:
• The board could stay out of date on screen
• The remaining cards went home all at once, and the Solved screen appeared early
Autoplay now keeps going one card at a time, and the game is solved only after the last card lands.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-09-17
