## Most critical reviews (7 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Liked game, but has AI slop

*2026-07-11, version 7.0.3*

I enjoyed the game, but the rewards for completing challenges are these really awful AI slop images. I just don’t want to be party to that.

### 1/5 — Frozen after loading

*2026-06-06, version 7.0.3*

Every time I attempt to ply this game it’s frozen at different screens. Goes through normal load screen after force restart and then pops on a random screen . These screens are complete but I’m unable to anything, nothing is active, just frozen. Hope you’ll address soon. Thank you

### 3/5 — Too Many Animations

*2026-07-06, version 7.0.3*

I find this card game challenging and I like that, but the animations that pop up are a nuisance. Why can’t they be turned off?
If there were no animations, this would be a 5 star review.

### 3/5 — Fun game

*2026-06-14, version 7.0.3*

I’m really enjoying this game.

### 4/5 — A decent game with room for improvement

*2026-07-26, version 7.0.3*

This is one of the better versions of Free Cell that I’ve seen. That said, there’s real room for improvement, most notably:
1. The game needs a mechanism for taking cards out of the foundation. This is especially important in situations where the game automatically moves cards into the foundation without user input.
2. Some of the challenges in the daily challenge are just plain ridiculous. I saw a challenge today where it said “win by moving no more than one card at a time”. Seriously? Yes it can be done if you want to double the time it takes to play.
3. Stop asking me to turn on notifications. I don’t want them from this game and never will. You don’t need to ask daily to turn it on.

Update 7/26/2026
The third item above about notifications appears to have been fixed but I’ve now been playing the game long enough to report a very real problem: I use an iPhone 16 Pro and can state definitively that the game has real problems for people with large fingers. On multiple occasions I have tapped a card only to see that the game thought I was tapping a neighbor. Sometimes this is not exceptionally problematic (like when it doesn’t let me make the move I wanted to make) but other times it can cause real problems for the completion of the game (like when it moves a card to the foundation when my intent was to move two cards to another column). Coupled with the first item above this can get extremely frustrating.

### 4/5 — One gripe

*2026-06-06, version 7.0.3*

I prefer a simple no frills way to play free cell. The app has options to turn off most things, but I can’t find an option to turn off the winning playing card animations. I personally don’t care about those or the collections of them. So four stars for now, until an option is added to turn those off.

### 5/5 — provide the ability to turn off super annoying animations

*2026-08-05, version 7.0.3*

Update: After digging through settings, you can actually turn off/reduce animations. If you subscribe to Apple Arcade or have Apple one, and you enjoy playing Freecell, I highly recommend this App.

The best version of freecell by far so far for me. however, I was going to give it 4 stars, because of supper annoying stuff at the beginning and at the end of the game. decided to keep the 5 stars review due being far better than other competitors (for me) for free cell. so, I would like to see two things to make the experience more enjoyable:
1. get rid of the annoying drop down window at the beginning of the game telling you who you are. I constantly have to push it back up because it gets in the way.
2. Get rid of useless super annoying animations at the end of the game . all it does, it prevents the player to start a new game immediately. i have to actually close the game and then start all over to get rid of it.
