We explored countless messaging apps but found most to be susceptible to hackers and unauthorized surveillance. We recently switched to Freedom Chat and we and our clients couldn’t be happier with its robust layers of security and ease of use. We now require all our clients to use it when communicating sensitive correspondence. This app feels totally secure and love the channel component. I selected a few contacts to share. When I try to invite them, the app freezes. It cannot find them by name or number. Then, I cannot close the invite (the “x” does not work.) I have to close it and hope it works. So far, not impressed and I’m likely going to delete it *update. Deleted. Needs more dev and does not work (8/5/25) **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. We can assure you Freedom Chat does work and we have not had these issues reported by any other users. I updated it today and it’s still unusable. ### 2/5 — The Jury is Out *2026-01-27, version 4.30* Someone invited me to join this “new” chat/text system. I joined on my iPad, then was immediately solicited to “upgrade” to premium for $52.99/yr, so I did this morning. An hour or so later, I still am not seeing the upgrade although the charge has successfully posted to my cc. So I messaged the company about it. Waiting for a response. Meanwhile, I downloaded the app to my iPhone and tried to sign in. It asks for my phone number, the pin that I created and then is supposed to send a code to complete the sign in. I did this 3 or 4 times and am STILL waiting for any code sent in to cyber space. (In other words, the log in goes no where since no code to “verify” my identity ever arrives). Clearly this is not ready for public use. I will revise my review if and when this is resolved. Meanwhile, I am giving them 24 hours to fix the issues or refund my money. Hoping for the best but not holding my breath. ### 3/5 — Can’t open *2024-02-17* This app looks to have potential. My problem is I can’t sign the agreement at the bottom on my iPhone SE. it is to far down the page and when I scroll down to sign it, it scrolls down automatically to where I can’t sign it. **Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your review.
