At times, when I hit “add note”, nothing happens. This bug drives me to despair. Forcing the app closed resolve, but nonetheless it’s highly annoying. My question, what have their app technical team being doing all this time??!! Does Abbotts customer service actually pass in this feedback?! It doesn’t appear so. To further add, the slightly revised appearance appears to worse than before, as its edge of the field appears to overlap other text. This is only a minor gripe, whereas the above issue NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. ### 2/5 — Unhappy *2026-07-17, version 3.6.7* I’ve been on the freestyle Libre for about 5 years moved to the 3 plus last year. All of a sudden the app isn’t working. I started a new sensor for notification that it was ready went to use it and it said scan sensor. I was so confused. I tapped the sensor again and did the same after about 20 times of doing this, I went to check if it needed an update. It did (also strange as I have auto updates on so this should have happened automatically) update still didn’t work. Restarted my phone twice nothing. I’ve now lost a brand new sensor that o hadn’t even used yet because it bugged out. It’s the weekend and I now have to wait for a replacement to be sent out as the doctors won’t give me another one Monday as I’ve had my 2 for the month. I’m really annoyed. I’m used to sensors falling off but this is crazy. I’m now trying to get back into the app and the app is just crashing. I try to open it, it half opens and then just closes. So I may not even be able to use a new sensor when one arrives. ### 3/5 — Does the basic thing, not more *2026-04-16, version 3.6.6* It’s useful in that it continuously tracks your blood sugar and lets you view trends etc. but beyond that it’s a let down in terms of notifications and Apple Watch complication compatibility that would make seamlessly integrate into my life ### 2/5 — Fix the alerts! *2026-02-07, version 3.6.6* The Libre 3+ sensor is incredible. On the other hand, there needs to be an option in the app to delay the intervals of alerts. Every 5 minutes is way too frequent, and there should be an option to change this to 10 minutes, 15 minutes etc. If blood glucose levels are low, even with fast acting glucose tablets taken immediately, it takes more than 5 minutes for levels to increase, and your phone goes nuts with alerts until your levels rise to a normal level. If blood glucose levels are high, it takes more than 5 minutes for the insulin to do its magic, and, again, your phone is non stop barraging you with alerts until your glucose levels come back down. I’d love to see an option to give me the power to choose the frequency of alerts. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2026-01-03, version 3.6.5* Please add a scalable graph. I want to see the plot better between 3 and 8, but it’s a standard size that cannot be adjusted! Almost a complete waste of a page having a fixed graph as it is currently displayed. This would dramatically improve the data. I’ve searched the internet and there a hundreds of similar comments. Please listen to your customers…… ### 3/5 — Alarms and notifications need work *2025-10-08, version 3.6.5* The app works well, is stable but the alarms are problematic. Only two alarms are possible and once an alarm is silenced….thats it! As diabetics you need to be able to decide on a period to turn the alarm off for before it re-alarms, this is especially essential at night. The alarms need to be more flexible and adjustable, suggest the developer has a look at xdrip4ios which also has great alarm adjustability. Notifications would be useful too, which allows all watches to get blood sugar notifications easily. Being able to set these up so they are given at regular intervals is hugely useful. These notifications could also be spoken, very useful for those not able to look at their phones frequently or who do not have a smartwatch. ### 2/5 — improvement needed *2025-09-28, version 3.6.5* i have had The Libra sensors since it has come out I currently am using the Libre 3 sensor which is a big improvement on the labra to system, though I am waiting for the new update to come through to be able to read smart insulin pen dosages libra currently is better than the decks.,com as the Libre system is more accurate gives you minute by minute readings and is smaller than decks com however I do agree, libra are missing out on some features such as readings being seen on an Apple Watch and would be good if The warm up time was improved from one hour to 30 minutes. Also it would be good. you could glance at your lock screen and have the reading there instead of unlocking your phone in order to Open the app up and see what is going on Abbott is rather slow at keeping software up to date. Still having issues with the app. Could you improve on keeping the app up to date as the current software is not compatible on the iPhone 16 pro max. That’s in regards to the Libre 3 ### 2/5 — Not fit for purpose *2025-09-11, version 3.6.5* Does not connect for hours at a time. Currently been 22 hours. Tried all troubleshooting options. ### 2/5 — Connection problems *2025-07-27, version 3.6.5* Constantly having connection issues compared to the Libre freestyle two I have to revert back to fingerpricking most of the time when this has connection issues could be a lot better ### 2/5 — Works but is missing so many features. *2025-05-26, version 3.6.4* So to be clear, it works ok but it is far from perfect. Firstly and most importantly, there is no way to snooze alarms so once you acknowledge an alarm, that’s it. No more alarms for that event. Even if the cause persists. There are no badges or means to see the BG at a glance without opening the app. Also there is no means to show data on an Apple Watch. There is no option to get levels by scanning once the sensor is started so we are 100% reliant on perfect Bluetooth connection, which is less reliable than on the FSL2. Abbott you CAN do better. PLEASE. ### 1/5 — Free Libre3 doesn’t work with Iphone16 pro *2025-05-04, version 3.6.4* I got new IPhone 16 Pro at Christmas. Since then had 3 sensor failures and now App won’t load. Spoke to Free Libre support, who are sending me yet another replacement sensor and a reader. I don’t want the inconvenience of carrying another electronic item around, so once I have used up my remaining sensors, I will be dumping Free Libre 3s. If you have an IPhone , I would caution against buying these sensors. ### 2/5 — Updates *2025-04-23, version 3.6.3* Needs more updates as it keeps having glitches had 3 sensors fall off in 3 weeks and it keeps telling me how long the 3 different sensors have until they need changed and they ain’t even on and working ### 1/5 — Libre 3 *2025-04-12, version 3.6.3* I cannot find how to buy my next one on your app!?? It stops at about 06:00 and starts again at midnight. Not much use when we need to monitor it during the day. Spoke with the vet who also has access and they cannot understand why this is happening. The app is awful and the sensors are worse than the Libre 2. I am currently on my 5th sensor and have already had to delete and reinstall the app twice. Good app *2024-03-07* There are a lot of negative reviews which I find surprising. I’ve been using the Libre3 app for 6 weeks now (since being diagnosed with T1DM) and it’s been impressively reliable, offers the core functionality that I need, and provides a lot of data analysis think over apps like Shuggah/xDrip4iOS don’t provide as far as I can tell (not used it though). Yes the UX is a little awkward in places (e.g you can’t open notes in the Daily Graph view, and you can’t zoom/pan/highlight charts) but I think these are nice to haves. It’s a shame you can’t export your data, but then this isn’t required as much because of the good data visuals including the LibreView integration. In conclusion, not perfect but certainly much better than the other reviews indicate **Developer response:** Thanks for your comment - we're glad to hear you find the app helpful! ### 4/5 — Such a letdown after upgrading. Edited. *2026-01-30, version 3.6.6* I have revised my update to reflect on help from customer service which has always been great with Abbot. Sent free sensors and didn’t ask for the three which are apparently unaffected by a major bug that showed fake hypo data. So I’ve edited the review as customer service has been very helpful in the past. I’d Please state that vs the features and tight interface of the become 7+, there’s a lot to be desired. Like the Apple Watch integration it has and not on this plus integration with Apple health and data logging to I can literally ask my phone near bed what my sugar levels are at Both these features are part the Dexcom g7+ 15 and 10 day sensors. ### 4/5 — Clear and helpful. *2026-01-27, version 3.6.6* I really like using Libre 3. I find it very accurate and the app clear and helpful. Only wish I could see my BG results on my Apple Watch. ### 4/5 — Could be more *2025-04-16, version 3.6.3* The Libre 3 does the job well. It’s reads the sensor and gives me my readings just fine… for the most part. Many times during a week, and on occasions many times a day, the app will stop syncing with the sensor. This happens when I have my iPhone in my pocket all day. Just random discounts. Annoying but closing and opening the app will sort it. My biggest thing that I wish this had is Apple Watch integration. Having to rely on mostly unreliable 3rd party apps to link to Libre 3 to then show my blood sugar readings, as a complication, in Apple Watch is frustrating as hell. A company with the resources of Abbotts should have this with glorious watch faces. Apple Watch integration could also allow integration into Apple Health. For even more detailed monitoring for ourselves and our health care professionals. We also have to use third party apps to provide a blood sugar update. So it can display in CarPlay. Abbott should consider not only Apple Watch but a proper CarPlay integration for easy to see updates in our blood sugar for safer driving. I hope these suggestions get to development teams. Thanks. ### 4/5 — Please extend Alarms options *2024-03-17, version 3.5* Can you please add options to repeat alarms every N minutes, if glucose level is out of range? Sometimes you receive alarm, but based on tendency that glucose going to return to normal level you’re skipping to do any action (e.g if you see that glucose >14.9 (configured alarm) and you used some insulin, which you expect to be enough, but it may be not enought and glucose level will still be out of range for another couple of hours without sending any alarm. Apart from this everything is awesome. Especially option to check your reports! Thank you! ### 4/5 — Good, but could so easily be great *2022-11-13* Works well for me, but there are three frustratingly missing functionalities that’s should be easy to include: 1) display glucose level as a widget on the phone Lock Screen or badge on the app icon, so sugar level can be quickly seen without needing to open the app. 2) enable a complication on Apple Watch to display current glucose level 3) enable connection to Apple Health to feed in glucose readings. Like it or not, customers appreciate access to their data in one place without needing to orchestrate a string of 3rd party apps to get it there.
