## What is FreeStyle LibreLink?

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. You can check your glucose by scanning your sensor with your phone. Now FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alarms when your glucose is low or high. [1][2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* Receive low or high glucose alarms with FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors [2]
* Add notes to track your food, insulin use and exercise
* See reports, such as Time in Range and Daily Patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family, with your permission [3]

SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at https://www.freestylelibre.com.au.

USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone (not both). To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alarms on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started with the reader, you can also scan that sensor with your phone.

Remember that the app and reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your sensor every eight hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

### 1/5 — Bare minimum data

*2026-08-11, version 2.13.1*

The app is barely useful. Why can’t we zoom into the daily graph to track what our reading was 2 hours ago? It’s hardly worth checking. I don’t even think the readings are accurate either because it says I’m way lower than I actually am. I’m glad this was $15 because it’s pretty bad.

### 3/5 — You should be able to correct a misreading

*2026-08-09, version 2.13.1*

I started using this last year and I’ve had at least a dozen libres that show glitchy numbers consistently I.e., 4 points below the true reading. There should be a feature where you can correct a misreading so it can get back on track, rather than misleading you into thinking you’re in range when you might’ve spent several hours above range. Other than that, grateful for the technology.

### 2/5 — App needs updating.

*2026-07-26, version 2.13.1*

This is a great device I don’t need to test my self everyday anymore. But it’s very frustrating that the sensor same as last review and issue still not fixed a year later. After 1 hour it drops out of signal for the price we pay for these things that should already be fixed.

### 4/5 — Needs a “snooze” button on the alarms

*2026-07-20, version 2.13.1*

Works quite well to help monitor my blood glucose BUT it really needs a snooze button on the alarms. Having a 15, 30 & 60 minute alarm snooze would alert me to check again after I have just injected insulin.

### 4/5 — Most USED button is the smallest

*2026-07-13, version 2.13.1*

Can you please increase the size of the SCAN button? It would surely be the most common feature in this app, & needs to be a little more prominent on screen. There have been so many times I’ve pressed it, held the phone straight to my arm waiting for the scan, before finally realising it wasn’t pressed right on to begin with. Frustrating.

Also, it would be great to have the ability to SCROLL back from the home screen graph, allowing us to see earlier time frames of that day. The ‘daily graph’ doesn’t always suit for this, especially if wanting to quickly look at previous days.

Thanks. :-)

### 3/5 — Would love an option to change the scale of the chart on App

*2026-07-09, version 2.13.1*

Would love an option to change the scale of the chart, and zoom in to the range that is most relevant to me, having the scale to the current setting makes my reading look flatter than they are due to the blank space. Also I’ve found that blood readings varied a lot on day 1 vs day 2 vs day 3 before stabilising, which caused a lot of confusion for me. Day 1 had frequent low warnings when I was actually ok. I think it was a calibration challenge.

### 2/5 — Libre sensor

*2026-07-07, version 2.13.1*

The signal keep dropping out.

### 1/5 — Poor quality

*2026-06-30, version 2.13.1*

The sensor disconnects something like 8 to 10 times a day completely unreliable. You feel like you are endlessly sinking the app with the Centre.

No, I don’t want you to contact me. No I don’t want your standard reply. I’d just like you to fix the thing.

### 2/5 — This app needs work

*2026-06-21, version 2.13.1*

Low glucose alarm fails to notify you. Constantly disconnects, and is paired with my partners phone.
They get alerts, I don’t. They have to call me to warn me!

### 3/5 — Let me add notes with custom times

*2026-06-20, version 2.13.1*

It drives me up the wall that I cannot add a note for something that has happened in the past! I have a baby! Diabetes! ADHD! I don’t remember to add everything the second I do it and I need to be able to add notes that say when I accurately took my insulin/ate my food etc. not just when I remember in bed at 11pm after I’ve been running around all day. Please add a feature to set a time for notes. Also I wish there was some way to overlap the sensors when the old one runs out and you’re waiting for the new one to be ready. That’s a risky hour, I tell you what.
