### 4/5 — I have a bug with the x and o awnsers

*2012-03-05, version 2.5.3*

This is a great app but it does not change between x and o for the answers ! Please fix this it is really really annoying! :)

### 5/5 — Update seems fine

*2012-01-30, version 2.5.3*

Loads and works well, no problems.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2011-12-16, version 2.5.2*

Great app just please add spellcheck

### 5/5 — This is the one you want

*2011-09-24, version 2.5.1*

This is a terrific flashcard app. Coupled with the ability to quickly make card sets online that others can download, this app is bloody brilliant. It is a hell of a lot easier than carrying around several hundred 3x5 cards. I have made four sets online thus far and I have to say it is very simple. It only took me about an hour to make a 115 count set. So much faster and easier than doing it by hand. And, much more convenient because whenever I have my phone on me, I have ALL of the flashcards I need with me as well. I use it when waiting in line, waiting for a class to begin, whenever I have a few spare minutes. This app is pretty much a necessity for any student. If you are concerned about the price, do not be. Once you use this app a few times, you will realize the price was a pittance compared to the app's value. Having used it, I can tell you I would have unhesitatingly paid twice what they are asking for it.

### 4/5 — Simple and Quick

*2011-08-23, version 2.5.1*

This is a great app for to make quick and simple flash cards. I don't need fancy ones, so I cannot attest to that. If you have any questions, David gets back to you fast, and is all over it.

### 5/5 — Love it!!! EASY to use!

*2010-11-22, version 0*

This app has helped me so much. I have recommended it to all of my classmates. Very user friendly. You can sync from anywhere. My grades are better with this app. Very well done.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2010-08-14, version 0*

This is amazing to help you revise. The quiz part keeps going over the ones you missed and you really learn it

I was getting about 60% on past papers on a subject. I then found this and after one go got 98% on two past papers

### 4/5 — Great application

*2010-07-19, version 0*

Very useful for studying keypoints for exams.

### 5/5 — great flash card app

*2010-06-20, version 0*

I too tested the free version and bought it. I recently went back to school after 30 years. I created cards for my photoshop class and shared them with a classmate who also bought the app. We both aced the tests by using this tool.

### 4/5 — AWESOME app, only 1 issue

*2010-05-26, version 0*

This is a super awesome app!!! It’s totally worth the money. I tried the free one out and then had to buy it. There are 4 different ways to view the cards so you can skim, review, thoroughly review, and test with the same cards. You tap O if you answered correctly and X if incorrect. At the end it gives you a score. You can view the cards in order or random order, swap questions/answers, add graphics, and more. The best part is you can do the cards up in word and then transfer them to the website and your phone. Awesome idea. They are all save online in your account and you can search other people's cards.
I only have one serious issue with this app (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). It doesn’t save sessions. So... If you are halfway through reviewing 151 cards for A&P and your phone rings or you have to stop for whatever reason then when you go back in you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN!!! This means you may review old cards you already mastered and may have to stop again before you get to new cards. This may not sound like a big deal but it’s very annoying and it’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I did manage to sort of correct this problem though by dividing my 151 cards into 4 smaller groups but this is a little bit of a pain in itself.
Two things I would love to see added (but did not affect my rating)...
1)the ability to link certain cards or have multiple questions on 1 card. This way if you have a question that is dependent on another card you can link them or put them on the same card so they will always be together. i.e. card 1 - What is the 1st level of organization? Chemical; card 2 – What does it consist of?
2)the ability to put more than one answer on a card and have them appear 1 tap at a time instead of all at once. i.e. What are the 6 levels of organization? (tap 1) Chemical (tap 2) Cell (tap 3) Tissue (tap 4) Organ (tap 5) Organ System (tap 6) Organism
Overall though I LOVE this app and it has earn a spot on my prized homepage right inbetween Camera and Kindle.

### 5/5 — Absolutely AMAZING

*2010-05-05, version 0*

helps me study for bio and philosophy.

Can be very helpful when you have a lot of vocab to memorize...

### 4/5 — GREAT! Just one improvement...

*2010-04-13, version 0*

This app is fabulous but I wish the website was a tad easier to use such as pressing tab to go from the question to answer, that would be even better but I so reccomend this app

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2010-04-07*

I can be quite fussy when it comes to learning tools (being a teacher) but this app is fantastic. Easy to use, easy to create cards, easy to backup cards, looks great, runs smoothly. Different modes allow quick revision or thorough testing with feedback at the end. Definitely worth the money, you won't regret it.

### 5/5 — Best flashcard app

*2010-03-23, version 0*

this app is great and simple.
You just make your cards online, and then add them to your itouch/iphone. or view your flashcards in a slideshow online. images are simple to add.
This little program has made my studying simpler since I can carry all my flashcards on one little device and study anywhere. I take a lot the metro and bus so this is super useful. I find the medium mode of studying the best, it repeats missed cards and gives you a grade.
So I think this app is the best flashcard yet.

### 5/5 — Very easy to use - I'm impressed!

*2010-03-11, version 0*

I prepared cards online, which I find easier than typing on my iPhone. The import from web to my phone was simple and the on phone instructions were short and complete, which I value. I was able to make my cards private with a single check box in each file (in fact, the summary of my files indicated I had NOT made a file private, so I only had to open it and click on a check box to correct my oversight). I think you may need to open a free account to create a password to make your cards private. While working on the web site, backups to my pc were made with a single mouse click. Last, but not least IMHO, I easily back up the cards created on my phone to my pc with the integrated FTP (I have the paid version on my phone).

The only suggestion I can make is to include a spell checker with the online text editor. My workaround was to spell check the text files on my pc and then make the corrections to the flash card files and then update the text files. No big deal.
Nothing to learn, nothing to remember. This is my kind of software!

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2015-10-25, version 3.7.1*

Syncing cards between devices is extremely hard and will probably not work unless you switch wifi networks several times

### 1/5 — Donot buy

*2015-09-04, version 3.7.1*

Useless app. You cannot do search inside it
I want my money back

### 1/5 — Not user friendly, waste of money

*2013-06-15, version 3.0.2*

Vey hard to use. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Boy do I feel stupid

*2011-12-01, version 2.5.2*

### 1/5 — Don't buy this app!!

*2010-01-24, version 0*

I lost all my cards when I went from the free version to the paid version. Thanks for wasting my time.

### 1/5 — Definitely Needs Improvement, Fair

*2009-12-05, version 0*

Limited functions - back-up button, etc. Once saved, and found misspelled, needed to erase everything and type all over again.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever!!!!!

*2009-11-21, version 0*

I bought this app and was very disapointed because it had a small library of flashcards. I really recommend mental case the best flashcard app ever. It has the largest flashcard library.

### 2/5 — .

*2009-09-29, version 0*

It's a good card flasher, but would give it a lot more stars if it would scroll or flick down to continue the card or down to a second card to continue a long answer (it can not contain enough words on one card for my perpose).

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2010-01-12, version 0*

Please make this app capable of typing in landscape! It would make it much easier/faster to make the cards.

### 4/5 — Great for keeping up with continuous updates in my study material

*2012-05-15, version 3.0*

Really easy to use web interface. I can easily share study notes with my colleagues too. Love the different modes for tests (medium, thorough, etc). 4 stars, as it could use an offline card editing function. Eg the ability to edit cards in MS word or excel.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Flashcard System

*2024-05-15, version 4.9.3*

FreezingBlue Flashcards is presently the best Flashcard System I’ve used on my Apple phone.
It has an array of “cool” features which makes it fun, easier and more functional to use over other flashcard systems. I recommend it to everyone I know who are studying in college in very difficult courses. Special thanks go to the authors of this exceptional and outstanding Apple App !!!

### 5/5 — Well done

*2019-01-25, version 4.4.2*

Been using for 5 or 6 years. Helps me study for oral boards.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2016-01-02, version 3.7.1*

Really helps you to study, best application ever!

### 5/5 — Pictures please

*2015-05-07, version 3.5.0*

I would love it if I could use a picture on the flash cards.
Everything else is great !!!

### 5/5 — Simple. Easy to use

*2015-04-04, version 3.4.2*

Thanks to the author. I used a free version for a while. It helps me a lot... Quizzes... Tests... I could continue using the free version for my needs, but I really appreciate the efforts.... I bought the paid version to support a good man!
Thank you!

### 5/5 — Options

*2015-03-31, version 3.4.1*

Could you please consider:

Adding the ability to arrange cards alphabetically on the app and on the website,

And
Adding a column for "revision date" so we can see if the copy online is newer than the copy on our iPhone or iPad

Otherwise, great app.

### 5/5 — This is the best Flashcards application!

*2014-04-15, version 3.3*

I love this application because you can create the cards on a PC and then upload them to your phone. Also you can let the cards know if you have memorized one of the cards so that it will only cycle through the cards you have not memorized. This saves a lot of time having to go through the entire stack again just to remember a few cards. I highly recommend this program.

### 5/5 — Great Studying Tool

*2014-02-23, version 3.2*

I use these in college for accounting and other subjects. I read and take several notes BUT using this on the iPhone helps me study on the go without the need to take my HUGE book or Mac out and about. A must for serious education where A's are in your daily vocabulary regarding your grade analysis. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2012-11-17, version 3.0*

It works so well

### 5/5 — A must have for students!!

*2012-07-19, version 3.0*

I have used this app as a college student and it has been a live saver!! I am a mom as well as a student and you can use this app to study anywhere!! This is a must have for students who study with flashcards!!
