This is annoying and I don’t like having to open another dictionary to find the meaning of the word. ### 1/5 — Pronounciation doesn't work *2017-08-27* No voice in app. Rip off. ### 1/5 — Suddenly no audio *2015-07-28, version 6.2.71* I downloaded because i saw all the nice review. Just a few days it suddenly has no audio. I tried to delete and download again. It didn't change. That's frustrating. I wouldn't pay that money for such a trash. Many free apps work better than that. ### 1/5 — Review *2013-08-08, version 5.3.12* This looks like a good dictionary but it has many faults. It does not provide the gender of French words, which is something a dictionary must have. I could not find the French words for "spoon" or for "fireplace" on a recent search. There are probably other omissions if you care to look for them. A good idea that got sloppy. ### 1/5 — Slick interface, poor dictionary *2013-06-04* The interface is great, but the word list and definitions are poor. Of the first dozen words I tried to look up, 4 were missing or incorrectly defined. For example: "bouffer" is "to eat", not "blouse; "se pointer" and "étriper" just don't exist; "pu", the past participle of "pouvoir" is also not found. The Larousse dictionary (at just over half the price) finds three of the four above. ### 1/5 — Dreadful Australian accent. *2012-09-09, version 5.2.9* Dreadful Australian accent! ### 1/5 — Wasted money *2012-01-18, version 5.1.5* Useless for anything 21century. Try "download" or even "Internet". Nothing given. ### 1/5 — Avoid this *2010-12-04, version 0* This is not worth the money. Very little content in grammar and phrases section. Some translations are simply wrong ("allumer" does not mean "turn off"!) and some french words mis-spelt ("echouter"?). This was not created by a french speaker and cannot be relied on. ### 1/5 — Very disappointing *2010-08-19, version 0* So many words both French and English simply not available whilst similar apps are no problem! I have wasted my money. ### 2/5 — Update has messed with prononciation *2020-02-16, version 7.2.9* Sound has been messed up with recent updates to iOS 13 or something wrong as no longer able to pronounce. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Excellent app, no internet connection needed! *2026-08-10* I love this app for learning French - it has pronunciation, a variety of ways a word is used in everyday language and no matter which part of a verb you search for, the app will find the infinitive and conjugate the verb in full.
