### 4/5 — Anglais

*2016-04-11, version 3.0.0*

De base seulement, 157 mots, pas avancé, dommage car tres bien fait

### 3/5 — Great if you only want to learn 157 words!

*2015-09-18, version 2.8.2*

Love the handsfree option but was surprised to discover that I could learn all the words in a day's driving! Would be great to have more advanced levels so I could continue to learn French...

### 3/5 — Нравится!

*2014-05-07, version 2.7.0*

Но! Интерфейс на русском языке, а перевод слов на французский -с английского...

### 4/5 — Audio is too fast

*2013-09-09, version 2.6.0*

The pronunciation of the French words is too fast.

### 3/5 — Get your grammar right!

*2012-10-22, version 2.4.0*

It's an ok app, but you should know that days and months in French are not capitalized

### 4/5 — New to french

*2012-10-05, version 2.4.0*

I love this ap, but my stats aren't reflecting my quiz results...

### 3/5 — Meh

*2012-09-19, version 2.3.0*

The vocabulary is very basic and 156 words really isn't that many if you know a bit of French anyway.

The audio and flashcards and that are nice but nothing special, when the vocab is so limited.

### 4/5 — Does the job.

*2012-07-25, version 2.3.0*

Simple and easy to use, although figuring out how to flip and change to the next card took some effort. Emphasis on the word some, because it only took ten seconds to figure it out. In all a good app. It does what it's supposed to do.

### 4/5 — Good, but...........

*2012-03-31, version 2.1.0*

This is a GREAT app! Only improvement is to make it more clear how to flip through flash cards. But I know how to say April!!

### 4/5 — Decent app for learning French words

*2012-03-22, version 2.1.0*

This doesn't attempt to teach any grammar or sentences. However, this is not a bad way to learn a vocabulary of French words. You have to upgrade to the paid version to get around 2000 words. The best aspect of the program is that every word comes with a good pronunciation by a French speaker. Also, the spaced repetition really does work in which words are shown to you repeatedly and you have to check off when you are able to recall them correctly. If you use this app, you will learn 2000 of the most common words of French vocabulary, although you will have to rely on other tools to understand or speak whole sentences.

### 4/5 — Wow

*2012-02-20, version 2.1.0*

I'm really in joying this app it's so easy to learn and the learning strategies are great! It has flash cards and so many categories with up to like 700 words. Highly recommend this app :)

### 5/5 — Mr

*2012-01-08, version 2.1.0*

This is really excellent for a free app, the quiz feature is great fun for use with my daughter and the stats feature is great. Well done, brilliant.

### 3/5 — It's ok

*2012-01-06, version 2.1.0*

It was ok. Good for beginners, but if you already know a lot then you can find better.

### 5/5 — Thorough language learning app

*2011-12-22, version 2.1.0*

A very thorough language app that covers reading and listening to vocabulary from 8 topics, including fundamentals such as verbs and numbers to more applicable vocab such as shopping and weather.

Great for refining and building vocab.

### 4/5 — Loves it

*2011-12-02, version 2.1.0*

Good app

### 3/5 — Additions to App

*2011-10-26, version 2.0.1*

Please add the option of adding your own vocabulary to the study sets that would be so helpful!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2018-07-05, version 3.6.1*

When I make a lesson thing and I try to take it it just does something else it's confusing!!!! I hate it!!!😩😡👎

### 1/5 — Beginners only

*2016-02-19, version 3.0.0*

If you have even a rudimentary knowledge of French it will be of no value to you.

### 1/5 — Complete Cack

*2014-12-02, version 2.7.0*

Pile of plop, brainscape is far superior.

### 1/5 — please fix

*2011-07-28, version 2.0.1*

### 1/5 — A

*2011-07-21, version 2.0.1*

Absolutely useless!Doesn't worth a penny.

### 1/5 — Disappointed :(

*2011-07-02*

I loved this app until today's update! It has totally changed in format & no longer user friendly. Where has the easy translation English/French or visa versa gone? I shall search for a better French App now. Shame, because I loved this one before it changed! Oh well....

### 1/5 — Useless!

*2011-01-24, version 1.9.0*

This app has only the useless words like honey, salt, and green. :(. I am very dissatisfied.

### 1/5 — Not very useful, boring

*2010-09-14, version 0*

While this might have been useful in school, the fact that I had no control over the vocabulary doesn't help. Also, it's got a very static, dull interface.

### 1/5 — Free French Essentials, etc.

*2010-05-13, version 0*

I never got the app and your "report the problem" in your e-mail informing me about getting the app is also not working! I also can't go back and try to get it again

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Better Than Rosetta

*2012-11-17, version 2.5.0*

I love all their language learning apps (I have French, Spanish, and Portuguese). They are easy, fast, and effective. In fact, I learned more using their (FREE) app, and in less time, than I did with my $299 Rosetta Stone. And notice I said their "free" versions.... I can imagine their full versions are even better - and I intend to purchase all of them.

### 5/5 — It helps

*2012-11-03, version 2.5.0*

It's basic words ONLY. Nothing else

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2012-10-11, version 2.4.0*

I'm totally lovin' it!!

### 5/5 — BEST FREE FRENCH BEGINNERS APP!!

*2012-08-20, version 2.3.0*

Love this app, especially the spaced repetition option, proved extremely beneficial to brushing up on vocab and it's free! Shame the upgrade is so expensive but def worth getting the free one!

### 5/5 — Good

*2012-08-07, version 2.3.0*

I love this for studying. I'm glad you can make our own flashcards :)

### 5/5 — First class app!

*2012-05-23, version 2.2.0*

I just downloaded & tried this app. It's put together right. I'm gonna start every morning with it and will buy the upgrade when I'm ready. I also found it bug-free! That's rare.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2012-04-26, version 2.2.0*

Very easy. Beautifully done!!

### 5/5 — Spectacular!!!

*2012-03-02, version 2.1.0*

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2012-02-19, version 2.1.0*

This app makes learning really simple, even if you've never learned a single word of the language. I take high school French and this helps me keep practicing and even get a little ahead of my class. I really recommend it!
