Now I can no longer play the game because it now crashes when I tried to launch it.. c’mon… we’re paying money to play games like this… ### 2/5 — No way to contact support, Impossible to beat goals with power up glitch *2022-09-11, version 1.2.1* Fun game, but there is a power up glitch that does not allow for using squarks to purchase them. Game gets locked up instead. **There is no way to contact support.**Can not complete goals without these (unavailable) power ups. If fixed, would earn 5 stars tho! ### 3/5 — annoying bug, impossible to contact support *2022-09-09, version 1.2.1* I am unable to purchase or even unlock new power ups, making certain achievements impossible. It’s so bugged that when I even try I m not able to back out and I have to restart the app all together. I went to their contact and support button but it only takes you to a website promoting the game and a link to the App Store, bad look. Really hope someone will notice and I can get this issue resolved ### 2/5 — Unable to buy powerups *2022-08-04, version 1.2.1* When I go to the store? the app says “long power up name” with Arabic or something similar beneath. And I know a lot of popular mobile games do this, but I really loved how no-nonsense the original Frenzic was. Throw in a classic/endless mode and I’m sold! ### 4/5 — Really good, but I miss the original gameplay *2021-07-15, version 1.0.2* This is really well done in just about every respect. Worth a download for sure. I really miss the original gameplay, which was essentially “endless mode” for placing pieces. Give us Classic Mode please! ### 3/5 — Oh. That’s it? *2021-07-13, version 1.0.2* It was fun, but over too quick. Hopefully there’s more to come. ### 3/5 — Too random *2021-07-08, version 1.0.2* Ehhh this is a randomized puzzle piece generator like Tetris. Unlike Tetris, however, whether you succeed or not is more dependent on the RNG pieces vs skill. It also feels like there is a heavy backend “pity” algorithm that makes levels easier the more you fail. It’s just not for me. ### 2/5 — Not for color blind folks *2021-07-08, version 1.0.2* There no option to adjust colors for color blind people. The colors used are probably the worst ones they could have chosen ### 4/5 — Very good, hoping for more *2021-07-05, version 1.0.2* I might be misremembering (this was a long time ago, after all) but I thought the original Frenzic had an endless mode. I am sorely missing that here. I’ve beaten all of the levels, and I’m going back to 3-star them (got like 80%+ on my first playthrough). But then what? This concept cries out desperately for an endless mode, and coming into the game, I assumed there would be one once you beat enough levels. But apparently not. Don’t get me wrong. The graphics are top notch, and the levels are tough but beatable. Just the return of Frenzic was enough to get me to download something published by the Icon Factory, even after the absolutely anticonsumer, vicious, horrible crap they’ve pulled with a couple of their apps’ transitions to a subscription model. (To be clear, they massively botched the transition, condescended and called their own customers essentially deadbeats, and then begged other developers for five-star reviews to try to drown out those same customers’ complaints about it. I don’t like subscriptions in most cases, but that part wasn’t the problem with what they did.) Anyway, it needs more content but it’s very well done. ### 3/5 — Fun but Short *2021-06-22, version 1.0.1* This is a fun game, but it’s way too short. I finished it in about three days of casual play. One will have all of your progress and the other will be stuck after level one. If you try to select the save file with your progress, it will send you to the menu. When you try to play, it will force you to choose a save file, over and over and over again. I have no interest in playing a game where I’m forced to start over before level ten ### 1/5 — Rage game *2023-01-21, version 1.2.2* my hands don’t move this fast worst game in Apple Arcade besides wylde flowers ### 1/5 — Fun but unable to continue *2022-10-03, version 1.2.1* I really like this game, but can’t progress without using power ups. That’s fine, except when I try to get power ups it tells me to “choose a slot” and from there the screen is basically frozen. I can’t choose a slot, can’t exit out… nothing. So I have to close the game out and restart it. I wanted to get help from the developer but the link just brings me to their website and there is no clear way to contact them on there. So basically, this game was fun until it was useless, which wasn’t all that far into it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-06-21, version 1.0.1* Every time I try to play it goes a blank screen. Way to similar so nearly impossible to build the single color core items. The pink and purple and the yellow and green are so similar that a colour blind person has difficulty telling the difference. It’s heavily time-based and I prefer puzzle games that don’t enforce a time limit, but rather force you to think thru a puzzle and solve it. This is basically pattern matching made difficult because you need to do it as fast as possible. That should be clear based on the title I suppose. If you like fast paced games this might be right up your alley. ### 5/5 — I find this game very fun (no spoilers) *2021-07-02, version 1.0.2* If you don’t like challenging puzzles, this game may not be for you. I love playing this game because of how challenging it is. Too many games nowadays that are easy or wins are based on chance via the programming. However this game makes you employ specific strategies each level, for the most part. I would doubt many people would be able to obtain 3 stars on any higher level playing it once. This is what is best about this game, though. Not all goals have to be accomplished all at once. If I just played a difficult level and only achieved 2 stars, I can move on to the next level to take a break. The two goals remain completed, and I am able to play that level over and over until I use the right strategy and make the right moves to obtain the third. Another great thing is points for R&D can be obtained every time a level is played, regardless how many times it has been played/been completed. If you WANT a challenge, play this game. It is absolutely challenging and will be frustrating. But the success of getting 3 stars on every level is what keeps me going. It makes accomplishments much more satisfying. ### 5/5 — It really grew on me *2021-07-02, version 1.0.2* I was a big fan of the original game, and at first I did not enjoy the new version. But after sticking with it and giving it some time I really like it! I’m not a huge fan of the Beat the Cipher levels. And a nice bonus on iPad to play in portrait or landscape is the kind of attention to detail I love. Been following Iconfactory since the beginning and you guys are a talented group. One suggestion is to add a restart button when completing a level in case we don’t get 3 stars and want to quickly replay.
