At this point, I haven't used the app because of the request for the review. An app that requests a review before even using its main feature is probably not an app worth having. **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write this. On the rating request, we're trying to balance giving users time to experience the app with collecting feedback from as many users as possible to make it better. On the subscription screen we'd like to clarify one thing: it doesn't require payment to continue and we offer 7 day free trials for all plans. Behind that screen the real-time frequency and spectrum display and the dB measurement are free to use, and the app contains no advertising. Zwei Punkte möchten wir gern richtigstellen. Die App enthält keine Werbung, weder Anzeigen noch Werbe-SDKs. Was Sie gesehen haben, war der Hinweis auf das Abo. Und die App lässt sich auch ohne Kauf nutzen: Die Echtzeitanzeige von Frequenz und Spektrum sowie die dB-Messung sind kostenlos, ebenso bis zu drei gespeicherte Messungen und der Export mit Wasserzeichen. Das Abo wird erst benötigt, wenn Sie die erweiterten Funktionen dauerhaft nutzen möchten, also Videoaufnahme, längere Messungen, alle Darstellungsarten und Export ohne Wasserzeichen. Das Abo-Fenster können Sie oben über das X schließen. This is a scam. **Developer response:** Hi there, we're sorry that this came unexpected. We want to assure you this isn't a scam! We offer a 7-day free trial, so you have plenty of time to explore the features and use the app as much as you want while it’s still free. As is standard for the App Store, trials do convert into a paid plan after they expire, but you can easily cancel at any time. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2025-10-25* Not sure why it needs location to analyze frequency. **Developer response:** You can use the location to document your measurements and exports, but you can opt out of using location data in the app. ### 1/5 — Don’t work *2025-10-24* It won’t click past the upgrade app to let me try it **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We are currently investigating an issue in Version 2.9 and already released an update to fix it. ### 2/5 — Maybe one of the best frequency analyzer out there, but.. *2026-07-23* This application helped me visualize some disturbances I have been experiencing in relation to sound. There is no option for a one time lifetime unlock. On a one time lifetime unlock: we don't offer one at the moment but thanks to your feedback we might add it in the future. If an annual commitment isn't what you want, there's also a monthly plan on the same screen, and it can be cancelled any time in your Apple subscription settings. Also the design seems to be straight from ai vibe code **Developer response:** Hi oha-800, thanks for the honest feedback, we appreciate it. We hear you on the popups. Most of them are actually iOS system permission prompts, which we can’t avoid: FrequencyAnalyzer uses the microphone, audio processing, notifications and other hardware APIs, and Apple requires a separate prompt for each one. We do try to keep our own in-app messages (like the occasional survey) to a minimum, especially for Pro users and we’ll keep working to make that even less intrusive. On the design - as a measurement tool, we deliberately keep things minimal and focused on the readings rather than decoration.
