A fun little game, with good voice-acting and a solid plot, plus I love the gameplay style and how it's accessible. Would love to see more by the developers.

### 4/5 — Great voice acting

*2019-12-10, version 1.0*

Love how it is accessible for the blind. Like I said great voice acting especially by the lead character Patricia.

### 5/5 — Hoping for the next ones!

*2019-11-26, version 1.0*

I just loved it! It’s a short-story based game in which you need to talk to everyone and gather information. It also has 3 or 4 mini puzzles.
It could have been better if it had more choice options that can lead us change the majority of the story from the beginning. However, the game is totally free and voice recordings have such a great quality. I enjoyed listening to them just as I enjoyed playing.
The length of the story might be found too short by someone else but I think the length is optimal.
I really would love to see what the team would come up with next!

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2024-10-28, version 1.0*

You find something with your fingers, you have to click on it a very specfific way. Had it been easier to find stuff and if it would actually click when you click I would not be leaving this review.

### 1/5 — Leider auf Englisch

*2023-11-06, version 1.0*

Hallo

### 1/5 — Convos take FOREVER!!!

*2020-06-05, version 1.0*

I was excited about playing, but the conversations took longer than any game I’ve ever seen.

I had to delete it before I even got to play it. The most frustrating thing ever.

Could’ve been a good game, but I’ll never know bc I’m not taking 4 hours to just START the game!

### 2/5 — Need a lot of things

*2023-05-21, version 1.0*

we should add new chapters, chapter 5, chapter 6, chapter 7, chapter 6, I did not mean to repeat that, and I meant chapter 7 is next after chapter 5 and six, chapter 8, chapter 9, and chapter 10. And then an audio unit plug-in, the audio unit plug-in applies to hosts and dawes such as GarageBand, developed by Apple. And then we should add some speech settings like censor out words like stupid, heck,, dare, and all the words, that kids don't say making it great and for us other people don’t want to come and tell anyone that don’t say that to me, so that should be a good option. The audio units Plug-in allows you to record audio from garage band, developed by Apple, or any other host. Or app that supports audio units and a bunch of speech settings like speech volume, speech pitch, speaking speed, and keep speech expression, that means in the audio unit plug-in: the, speaker, who is speaking. It starts with Patricia, but it can also have the chief, Samuel, Oscar, Victor, Stephanie, Monica, Sylvia, And the list of the people in the game, along with the settings apply to both the audio unit plug-in, and the game! And it’s all in 1 app, so in GarageBand developed by Apple, with having edit on plug-ins and EQ you, frequency missing, and everyone in the game that R in the game, the speaker has everyone you hear in the game, and you can still listen to it through the microphone monitor, the monitor switch is like playing through the audio, and when the plug-in is active, any voice comes out at about a delay that is half a second, and a normal speed and even a whisper, unless speech settings in the game, there should be whisper volume for voices, that is a great option for if people want to play it quiet. And then background music volume, it goes from 0 to 5. If it wants to be heard without any background music, it should be set to zero. And the audio unit works and the voice can get louder depending on how close to the mic you are, and the voice is up together with the rooms background noise or if it’s the bar, or any other room that does not have any background music, and the bar is a place in chapter 2 and chapter 4, and in the audio hearing it plug-in, it should be called club, and then lounge, kitchen, clubs basement, the Chiefs office, a place you can go in the game in to from chapter 3 and chapter 1. in the audio unit plug-in you can select an object or a person and how close is the object, you’ll hear the sound from the object when in the audio unit, when close to an object, or you know if you're close to something you don't here a click, but you hear a beep. But for the click it’s really, quiet. I did not mean to put a comma after the word really because it is not good to put commas after the word really. But I did that because I wanted you to read was great if you read it with a bit of pausing it But in the game,,. You’re, speaker all of the options, main menus, speech from the main menu, and the audio unit plug-in should be called: frequency. The game should be called, frequency missing, like it always was supposed to be.! It will speak at your emotion depending if you are looking neutral,, or any other feeling from the audio unit will work and depending on your emotion, itsounds like they have a feeling, but in the sound setting that should be less emotional, automatic, this time instead of saying bye and, the normal option is, the normal option is automatic., sad, excited, happy, and any other feeling imagine. So, lettuce succeed

### 2/5 — Uninclusive

*2023-05-07, version 1.0*

This game gives a big middle finger to the deaf and hard-of-hearing, as the only way to proceed through the game is by listening for sound cues. As someone who is sensitive to sound, I play all games with the volume off. This one forces you to have the volume on or you can’t hear sounds telling you when to stop or that you’ve found something. I can’t stand the annoying voices providing the dialogue, and I have no option to read and proceed at my own pace, making the game annoyingly slower than it needs to be.

### 2/5 — Short Linear Story

*2021-02-23, version 1.0*

First the pros - The story was okay, and I wanted to find out what happened next, so it kept me interested. The voice acting was also of decent quality, and it doesn’t look half bad. The fact that you can play the game without looking at the screen is a decent concept, but wasn’t something I wanted to do or even remotely interested in.

Now for the cons - This is extremely short! I finished it in one play through, in a little over an hour. And the worst part was that it was very linear. And as other reviews state, you can’t skip through dialogue in case you click on something you’ve already chose, which is frustrating.

Overall - It left me disappointed at the end (not so much the story itself, but the fact that it was over very quickly) and it left me wanting a whole lot more. If you want a short linear interactive story, then you might enjoy this, but for me it left a lot to be desired. Although the game has great reviews (which is why I downloaded it), I would not recommend it to anybody, unless it was to a blind person; since you can play through the game without ever looking at the screen.

### 2/5 — Not sure the point

*2019-03-02, version 1.0*

It’s a linear story without any challenges. It’s basically an audiobook you click on and hear the next story parts. I didn’t finish it because I was bored. And you can’t skip dialogue so you have to wait for it to finish before you can move on. Way too slow.

### 3/5 — Good, But Could Use Some More Action

*2020-04-28, version 1.0*

This is a lightly entertaining puzzle game using the screen as a directional touchpad to navigate the various gameplay environments, and the movement around these areas is well represented in the stereo spectrum. Headphones are a must to play this game to the best extent and you will have to listen intently to find the various clues and objects of interest in these environments.
The voice acting is good, as is the general sound design and SFX. Unlike some of the other audio-accessible titles I have played so far, the element of challenge in FM is more of a thinking puzzle nature rather than a fast-moving action game in which success depends on focused attention and quick reactions to sound sources around you. In this aspect, some players may find it a little tame and lacking in adrenaline. But the storyline is interesting enough with a choice of two different endings up on clearing the game, and the gameplay (whilst not involving much scope for any vigourous action) runs smoothly and without any technical glitches.
Overall, Frequency Missing is worth trying out. The duration of the game is fairly short and a bit more directed action would be welcome, but the sound, acting and virtual environments are all of a good level and the entertainment value is reasonably good.

### 3/5 — Technically good, want more stories

*2019-10-18, version 1.0*

The interest of the story itself was pretty consistent, but never really gets too exciting. Wish I could skip dialogue in case I clicked on something accidentally. But I can definitely play this game without looking and the voice acting is great.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A very enjoyable game that has clearly required a lot of thought

*2026-01-24, version 1.0*

I have really enjoyed playing Frequency Missing. I find it very accessible with the built-in TTS. I have never played a point-and-click adventure game because they weren’t accessible, but this game has done a great job of making this a reality for me. The sounds used, especially for the objects are great as well as the voice-acting. I got stuck on the puzzle where Patricia needed to get into the law-firm building, however I progressed and experienced great satisfaction when I did so. This game is quite a short game and so it would be amazing if you could develop a longer adventure game of this style. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Love it!!!!

*2024-08-08, version 1.0*

This truly is one of the best out there. Truly creative. Hope you guys come out with more. I’ll definitely pay for this

### 5/5 — güzel

*2022-05-22, version 1.0*

gayet akıcı, oynaması ve çözmesi çok zevkli kısa sayılabilecek bir oyundu. keyifle oynadım.

### 5/5 — Neat little game!

*2021-11-28, version 1.0*

I’ve been playing iOS games forever now and I very seldom take the time to write reviews. I really enjoyed this game. What I was initially looking for was point and click adventure games and this game showed up in the category. I thought I’d give it a shot. It was very different than any game I have played yet, and I really enjoyed the story line. It kept me interested. I wasn’t sure where it was going to go and I’m happy with the ending. I’d say the game is on the short side but that’s not something that bothers me at all. It was well worth my time and I hope you all give it a shot. It’s a cool game. 🖤🖤

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2021-10-24, version 1.0*

This is a great game: loved playing it. And I wish you would release more games like this because there is nothing else like it on the App Store what I like so, can you publish more games like this?

### 5/5 — Very good game

### 5/5 — Best audio game I’ve ever played!

*2020-07-25, version 1.0*

This game was an incredible experience. It had very immersive sound design and great interactions. I would gladly rate this game 5 stars and pay for another. I’d highly recommend a game like this for anyone, not just blind/visually impaired people. Some things I loved about this game were,
1. No micro transactions!!! They could have easily made me buy each chapter individually for like $0.99 a pop, but they didn’t! This game is completely free with no ads or annoying pop ups telling you to come give a good rating.
2. No double tapping. In so many audio games I feel like I’m constantly double tapping on items or dialogue options, but in this game I didn’t have to double tap once.
3. It’s a very unique and fleshed out story. I think this is the best story of an audio game ever.
4. It is like a point and click. My favorite type of game I like to watch people play are point and clicks. And now I finally got to play one for myself.
If your still not convinced just go pick the game up and play the first chapter. I guaranty you’ll become invested in the story and game play. I’d love to see these devs come back and make another game.
