I hate, & will be deleting this app after this, that I cannot listen to anything else & have the frequency continue to play in the background, such as a YouTube video for example. Using 24-36 boxes EAW 760 and 16 SB 1000. I’ve got some irritating tinnitus in the 8.5kHz range. I used this to identify the matching frequency centers then plugged those numbers into Acoustic CR Neuromodulation to design my therapy. Not sure if it works yet. But I absolutely know that binaural tones work for sleep and other states of focus. My bet this works to help my tinnitus. C. But this is worthless like this. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re willing to pay the subscription it looks pretty impressive. But the way they have set this up as “free” is really deceptive IMHO. I gave it TWO stars because it looks like the paid version is prob pretty good but that’s too much for an app that I would only use occasionally. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Insane amount of ads *2026-07-12, version 4.11.0* Most annoying app I have ever used. It played 6 ads when I clicked on various parts of the app to see different menu options. I never even got to playing a sound before I uninstalled it out of disgust. ### 1/5 — Why Remove the Mosquito Repelling Function!! *2026-06-25, version 4.11.0* I bought this app a while back for the mosquito repellent function. You used to be able to push the button and the sound would just play until you turned off the app. Now they set the feature so you have to manually hold the button down. Once you raise your finger up from the screen the sound stops. It is no longer auto play. Why would anyone go out of their way to make it function that way? Useless now, which I won’t be subscribing to the app anymore. It asks for a review immediately on opening the app for the first time. It also asks for a week membership or a year immediately on opening (BEFORE you get to check if it even works). I got to use the db meter ONCE. And then they ask me to buy for it and for the other stuff too.
