## What is Fresh Ink?

Sight-reading material at exactly the level you are working at, and a different test every time.

Choose a level from Initial to Grade 6 and Fresh Ink generates a test to that level's constraint sheet: its keys, clefs, range, time signatures, note values, rests and interval vocabulary. A verifier that shares no logic with the generator then re-derives every one of those properties from the notes themselves, and refuses anything that does not hold. The constraint sheet is printed beside the test and generated from the same definition the generator reads, so what the app says a level contains and what it actually produces cannot drift apart.

Every test carries a six-character code that reproduces it exactly. Hand the code to a class and everyone draws the identical test.

- Four clefs: treble, bass, alto and tenor
- Key signatures, accidentals, beams, rests and barlines engraved on the staff
- A metronome with a count-in, and a cursor that moves with the beat
- Rhythm tap practice against the beat grid
- Practice sets of five tests at a level, with what happened to each kept between visits
- Grades are described generically: no examination board is named and no syllabus text is reproduced

Built for teachers setting practice, and for candidates working towards a graded exam.

What this app does and does not do:
- No advertising.
- No in-app purchases and no subscription.
- No account and no sign-up.
- Works without a connection. The app itself sends nothing anywhere.
- No microphone access.
- Collects nothing about you.
- Practice sets are kept on your device, and your device's own backup may include them if you have that switched on.
