### 2/5 — Unreliable

*2020-01-09*

In my brief experience, this app gives unreliable information. For instance, I received an alert this morning that indicated Wolf Creek had received 69” in the past 24 hours so I went on the internet to check the snow report on Wolf Creek’s own website.......it indicated that not only had they not received 69” over the past 24 hours but they also were not reporting any new snow fall over the past 7 days ! Similarly, according to the app, Steamboat has been getting snow every day but again, when I check the report on Steamboat’s website, the information simply doesn’t align. I don’t use the tracker so can’t comment on that.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had this issue. We had a one time problem that sprang up with Wolf Creek today that we have fixed it.
The steamboat information looks to coincide with their site.
Again I apologize and hope you’ll try our app out on a different day. We pride ourselves on having very accurate information and you shouldn’t have any issues going forward.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2019-12-19*

All the necessary information is available EXCEPT for the depth of the base. Had I known this was not included, I would not have purchased.

### 2/5 — Lacks utility and is expensive to link to pass

*2019-01-05, version 6.1*

I have both the Epic and Ikon passes. I use the EpicMix pass for visits to Epic resorts. I was hoping this app could give me the same features when using my Ikon pass at Colorado resorts, or, better yet, allow me to use this app for both passes when skiing Colorado. However, this app lacks the maps and lift guides I find so useful on the EpicMix app, and while it will allow me to link my Ikon pass to the app, I must pay $19.99 yearly to do so, while on the EpicMix app linking is free. Further, it appears that I can only link one pass. Given this, this app is not a great option for me.

### 3/5 — Great app but paid even with your season pass

*2018-11-10*

Great app, super functional, shows exactly the info I need, and has an accurate count and distance of downhill time. Would be five starts if I didn’t have to pay just to attach my season pass I already paid for....

### 2/5 — Slow startup and set pass doesn’t work

*2018-01-04, version 4.9*

Set pass function seems great but doesn’t seem to work. And screw logging in through google or Facebook stalker trolls.

### 1/5 — How about base information?

*2017-12-31, version 4.9*

And snow reports further back than 24 hours? Useless app for me - deleted after 10 minutes.

### 1/5 — Waste of a site.

*2017-12-26, version 4.8*

Leave it and watch it die a slow death. Every enhancement needs $$$$. We pay enough already to be gigged again.

### 2/5 — Alright...

*2017-12-24*

The app has a good look to it. However the navigation is slow and it only give 24 hour snow report... what happened in the last 48 or 72 hours? And what is the base and mid mountain depth? Yup, does not show. Kind of weird for a app that tells snow totals.

**Developer response:** We are glad you like the design of our app! I will add 48 hour snowfall to our roadmap, so you can get a better view of the conditions. Unfortunately we currently don't have the ability to do base and mid mountain depth. Our weather provided doesn't have that information. We've been searching for a solution, but that information is hard to get since resorts don't share them in any unified location.

### 1/5 — annual subscription fee?!

*2017-01-09, version 2.2*

$10 a year to subscribe for snow reports I can find for free in other apps? I can understand a one time fee purchase. it this is ridiculous.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Will not let me renew subscription

*2024-01-11*

On iPhone can’t renew subscription

### 1/5 — Snow Totals are for the whole year

*2023-11-30*

Why would any ski report have snow from the previous season! This makes this report useless except for daily snow.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-01-05*

They keep charging me and I don’t want the service!

### 1/5 — Expensive!

*2020-09-22*

$20 a year! For information that is found a ton of other places for free. Just selecting your season pass is hidden behind pay wall. No thank you! Uninstalled!

### 1/5 — App won’t even open

*2019-11-13*

Crashes about a second after it shows the splash screen, tried downloading it twice.

**Developer response:** Sorry that happened. Our last release had a bug that crashed for iOS 12 users but we've got it fixed now. Hope you'll give us a try and let us know what you think!

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2019-01-08*

Standing in a snow storm with 10” fresh powder on the mountain, the app said 0” the last 24 hours. I checked it the next morning after it snowed all day and it still said 0” the last 24 hours. It’s worthless.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry our data didn’t match what you saw on the mountain but hope you had an awesome powder day! We pull our snowfall data directly from the from what each resort reports and have the best snowfall data available for Colorado. I would love to track down the issue you are seeing. Please contact me at jeremiah@avalancheapps.com with more information and I can see if there is an issue specific to your app or that resort.

### 1/5 — Poor features

*2018-12-12*

No features for the subscition and ikon pass wish I had not subscribed waste of money

### 1/5 — Waste of time!

*2018-11-19*

If you're trying to enter your season pass or see what the snow report is for a single resort, you're out of luck. You will take get anything unless you pay.

**Developer response:** You can see the snow report for any resort on the Resorts tab including the 7 day forecast, 24/48 hour snowfall, and additional information all free. If there is something missing that you'd like to see let us know!

It is a paid feature to filter our recommendation engine by setting your pass. We've worked hard on this and it is something you can't find anywhere else. Hope you have an awesome season on the slopes!

### 1/5 — Broken

*2018-03-29, version 5.4*

Broken as a doorstop as of 3/29/18. I recommend OpenSnow if you're looking for something that actually works for the end of the season.

In January the app displayed inaccurate snow totals, fixed after couple weeks. At least they're good at responding to app reviews, ha! I'd be mad if I sprung for a season pass with these jokers.

I like the idea of the "today's pick" widget that features mountains with new snow.

Other wishes: Would like the ability to favorite/follow favorite resorts, and missing trail maps which can be handy when on the mountain.

### 1/5 — Forecasts and current snow conditions wrong

*2018-01-09, version 4.9*

Forecasts and current snow conditions are wrong. Also, doesn’t show all the mtns on my pass in the forecast even though I inputted my pass like it says to. Wish I could get a refund.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-11-13*

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2018-11-13*

Works great. Season pass integration is very convenient.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2018-03-26*

Checks all the boxes for me! Great app!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2017-01-25*

Great app. All the basic info, up to date and reliable.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-12-05, version 2.0.1*

Accurate reports and easy to use. Love it!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2016-11-06*

I love the simplicity of this app. All I had to do was tell them my ski pass and I'm able to get weather reports that actually matter to me. Now I just need more snow!

### 4/5 — Almost...perfect..just one thing.

*2019-10-05*

This app is perfect, totally would have given it 5 stars. The only issue I have is with device support/compatibility. It might also be an issue on my part, but a good amount of people still have devices on iOS 10 and that is what my phone runs on. Now my iPad runs in iOS 13, so that was how I was able to review this app.

Keep up the great work!

### 4/5 — Multiple passes

*2018-11-21, version 6.0.2*

I know this is an unusual thing to do, but I have both the epic and the ikon pass for the 2018-2019 season. This app seems to only let me choose one pass. Will there be a feature be added soon to add multiple? Thanks!

### 3/5 — Good Ap

*2019-03-03*

I like the accuracy but would like to better see the resorts I’m interested in.

**Developer response:** Email me at jeremiah@avalancheapps.com and let me know what you'd like to see. We are always adding new features and want to know what is important to you.

### 3/5 — Very expensive. Only gives info you can get for free

*2019-01-01*

This is a limited scope review, because I did not pay the huge price, so maybe, if I did, some miracle would occur and it'd be worthwhile. If I had, and still was this unimpressed, I'd give it two stars, but it doesn't seem fair to knock their average down that far without a real try

I found on several websites all the weather and snow info this app seems to offer. For free.

Other than that, it doesn't know anything about the individual area. Telling you what vert must be pretty useless (if you can make it work; I started it, but nothing got recorded).
