### 2/5 — Could be good but needs a lot of work

*2015-12-08, version 3.0*

The information provided in the app is pretty novice , it needs major expansions in the fish and lure section. There's better fishing apps out there for free when it comes to what bait , tackle, lures to use in what conditions. The fish guide is lacking. The only thing that could be great is the fishing spot locator map if there was more users contributing to the app. This should be a free app it definitely doesn't have the features a pay app needs.

### 2/5 — Not much here

*2015-03-29, version 3.0*

This app only has 23 fish and is missing some common ones. No description except a picture which is basically not much bigger than the thumbnail. Very little effort went into the app. $0.99 maybe if you never fished before.

### 1/5 — Richard

*2012-05-29, version 1.5*

Not much to it. Thought it would have loads more information. Should be free.

### 1/5 — Really bad!

*2012-05-21, version 1.5*

Not even if it were free!

### 1/5 — Fish

*2012-05-13, version 1.5*

Garbage .. Waist of money

### 1/5 — Not much here

*2012-05-13, version 1.5*

Very limited info...basically that screen you see. Needs more "how to's" like best places to fish, how and what lures to use, knots etc.
Right now it's just lame and not very helpful or informative

### 1/5 — garbage

*2012-03-25, version 1.0*

garbage. very few fish and very obvious no brainer information given

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2012-01-02, version 1.0*

Very broad information on fishing for any beginners. Informations on the species of fish are narrow and vague. Can get more informations on other sites, such as, wiki. One good information it provides are for beginners is where to cast the bait. For example, when fishing in a river, cast down stream to where the fish are. Sadly, that's about it. This app does not provide information about the different type of rig to set up for different types of fish or how to tie a basic knot. All in all, for something that claims to be an app for freshwater fishing for beginners sure isn't very helpful for a beginner like myself. I personally don't think it's worth my .99 cents.

### 1/5 — Almost no help

*2020-06-18, version 3.1*

Only a few fish and very basic info. Needs a lot more species and info to be any good.

### 1/5 — No

*2016-05-15, version 3.0*

I don't recommend this app, I have lakes all around me and fishing spots. This app did not pick up anything!!!

### 1/5 — Don't buy

*2015-02-04, version 3.0*

First id like to start by saying id like a refund. This is not a in depth fishing 'guide' , simply a few brief statements about some fish and basic lures. Don't waste your money.

### 1/5 — Waist

*2014-07-01, version 2.0*

Very bad app.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2014-03-16, version 2.0*

Don't buy feel like I got scammed

### 1/5 — Don't waste a penny!

*2014-03-11, version 2.0*

This app is horrible. I feel stupid for buying it!!!

### 1/5 — What is this crap

*2013-10-17, version 2.0*

Don't even bother buying this app. It's a waste of money stay away from this company's apps# spread the word

### 1/5 — Waste of money & time

*2013-07-08, version 2.0*

Whether you have fished or not, this app is a complete waste of time. The information is VERY general and not tailored to the specific species of fish at all. Under each fish species, it lists one or two general paragraphs about them that looks like it was copied from something like wiki.

For example: I picked this up as a quick impulse buy before going muskie fishing, a species I've never fished for before. It says they like spoon lures, but when you tap on "spoons" under muskie, it's the same "spoon" lure page for every species. In reality, the spoon types (colors, sizes etc) fish bite on vary dramatically between species.

Save your money. I'm deleting it to save the space on my iPhone.

### 1/5 — Rise

*2013-06-02, version 2.0*

Just enough effort to gather a few pics and take your money. If you fish and are looking for a comprehensive app - STAY AWAY. Otherwise you'll just feel like a dope.

### 1/5 — Please! Refund!!!!

*2012-08-15*

What's this? Please! Refund!!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very helpful little guide

*2015-05-28, version 3.0*

This app has all of the fish you would find in a pond, river, lake, or creek in the U.S. and includes info on how to catch them, when to catch them, and what to catch them with. Totally worth the 99 cents and a great perk for anyone to have while fishing.

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2013-07-02, version 2.0*

I was looking right for this! 10/10

### 4/5 — Need more fish please

*2015-06-20, version 3.0*

This is pretty good, but i recommend more fishes.

### 4/5 — Not bad, more info

*2014-02-25, version 2.0*

It could be better, maybe more info but over all it a pretty good app for a little amount of money.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2013-07-20, version 2.0*

Great app but add more fish like a salmon

### 4/5 — Very Basic info some incorrect

*2012-05-31, version 1.5*

I been fishin for catfish for along time and have found live bait to be the best they seem to prefer gold shiner minnow over most things sucker minnows work as well don't like to use night crawlers cause u catch a lot of other thing your not fishin for sheepshead carp suckers and so on. They love to feed at night (7:00pm-4:30am about) around wing dams, culvert drains, bridges ,shallow riverbanks n rock walls (ripwrap).use a large sinker(1oz)or more depending on current.#5 and 4 size hooks work well for most size cats. Put your sinker about 1-2 ft above your hook.hook your bait on the back just behind the fin cast into your spot u like n just wait if they are around they will eat it. Good luck

### 4/5 — Freshwater Fishing Guide

*2012-01-22*

Add specific location would make it a 5 stars

### 3/5 — Ok

*2015-11-22, version 3.0*

This could be a great app but it just needs more fish and details

### 2/5 — Location issue

*2016-06-27, version 3.0*

Needs more fish variety and update on fishing locations. I have many lakes and rivers near me but map shows no fishing spots. Without many updates/upgrades , Not worth the money

### 2/5 — Does NOT respect settings for using GPS!!

*2016-03-06, version 3.0*

This app asks you if it can use your GPS when not running (what for???) as well as when you are. BUT, it does NOT look at the setting in the OS to see if it should - if you answer No at the start your GPS/fishing spot location is dead and you have to uninstall to get it to ask again.

On the other hand, if you turn it off in settings, run the app and it still uses it (IOS should block that, but doesn't)

There seems to only be 2 fishing spots in North Texas, so that isn't useful to me either.

The info about the fish is nice.
