## What is Fresko?

Fresko helps you find cool places across France.

Explore cafés, restaurants, bars, malls, cultural venues and public places on one map. See whether a place has air conditioning, natural cool, outdoor shade, no AC, or an unknown cooling status.

Cooling information is clearly labelled by its source: source-confirmed, community-confirmed, unverified, or disputed. When you are on site, you can report a cooling or opening status. With your optional permission, other opted-in people already at the same place can receive a prompt to confirm it.

Fresko is designed for privacy:
• No account or sign-in
• Location is optional for browsing
• Precise location is used only to verify that you are at a place before a report or confirmation; it is not retained
• No route or GPS history

Fresko uses France-wide open and municipal data sources. Source attribution is available in the app.
