## What is Fretforge?

Explore your guitar with Fretforge: chords, scales, theory, ear training, and practical tools in one free app.

SEVEN DIRECT ENTRIES
Find chords and scales, explore the circle of fifths, train your ear, study original theory lessons, practice fretboard drills, or open your playing tools. Continue where you left off and save favorite fingerings and scale positions.

CHORDS AND SCALES
Browse 69 chord formulas and 35 scales across 12 roots. Search symbols such as E5, Dm13, and C/E, view chord tones and verified standard-tuning fingerings, and hear strummed, block, or arpeggiated previews. Voicings identify omitted tones, and unavailable fingerings are clearly marked. Scale positions show degrees, notes, or finger numbers.

LEARN AND TRAIN
Study 52 original lessons across nine chapters. Practice note names, intervals, chord tones, levels, and spaced repetition. Ear training uses piano intervals and triads, with replay, clear answer explanations, and practice history.

PLAYING TOOLS
Practice with editable drum grooves, a tuner, and a metronome with accents, recording, and a full-screen flash option.

Your progress and recordings stay on your device. No account, ads, subscription, or in-app purchases. English and Simplified Chinese. Dictionaries and drills use standard six-string tuning. Additional tuning presets are available in the tuner.
