Learn the neck, play it with your own fingers, and write your own tabs — with real recorded guitar, drums and a full multitrack editor. Fretride is made by one person who plays guitar, for people who play at home. Every sound in it was recorded string by string, and nothing you play leaves your phone. Pick a key and the fretboard lights up with the notes that belong in it. Build progressions, jam over them, play the neck with your hands, and turn what you played into tabs. THE FRETBOARD • Every key and scale, picked on a circle of fifths that shows each key's sharps and its neighbours • Notes coloured by scale degree; show note names, degrees or both • See any chord as a real shape, anywhere on the neck • Alternate tunings: Drop D, DADGAD, Open G and others A NECK YOU CAN PLAY A full-screen guitar under your fingers. Nice and simple piano roll, keys vizualization with and followinginstruments: bass, flute, piano, sax, synth pads and synth lead, violin, cello, trumpet and taiko. - Fixed critical bug: excuse me, but in previous built I was recreating Overdrive and Distortion samples, and somehow I got them out of tune. Not sure how that happened, but now we have correct samples. Upcoming in next updates: - Guitar Pro files import. Almost done, final polishing. - Unique and mind blowing (hopefully) practice session generation engine. Scales, triads, chords, different techniques - something I've been working for a long time, finally soon will be ready. ### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-21 Update which you will like. At least I'm enjoying the results in the everyday use of the app: - Custom strumming patterns. Create a tab, save selected beats as custom pattern and then apply it to chord progressions on the Play screen or use it on the Ride screen as a source for your chords. - Much improved performance. Bug fixes. - Scale selection through circle of fifth, recommended and borrowed chords in the chord creation dialog. - Added Capo in the track settings in the tab editor. - Palm muted strings sounds much-much more realistically. - Song sections in the tab editor with quick navigation between them. What is coming next (working on these features): - Instrument tracks (synth piano, strings, winds and few more). - Import GP files! - Shared tabs with public. - More work on lessons to make them more granular and novice-oriented, with play capture integrated. ### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-14 - New virtual fretboard - completely new way to understand the neck and transfer knowledge to real guitar: smoothly go through chords in a scale in all positions, see target notes, strum, enable auto strumming, turn on drum grooves, play solos over your patterns and quickly hear how they lay up together. Soon we'll add possibility to use own strumming patterns and drum grooves here. - Added a lot of new chord voicings in for different chord types. - Bug fixes. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11 - New play detection mode!
