### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2026-07-13, version 1.0.6*

I used to adjust my air conditioner on this app no problem now the app doesn’t respond to my touches or changing the temperature.

### 2/5 — Works but has flaws

*2026-06-07, version 1.0.6*

Was able to connect to my two air conditioners with no issues and thankfully turns them on fine. But changing temperatures can be clunky. Worst part is for some weird reason, turning on ECO mode raises the temperature to 79 degrees and refuses to allow me to lower it. I have to manually go to the air conditioner and lower the temperature to where I want it when using ECO. Doesn’t make any sense why this happens.

### 3/5 — Can’t use with Alexa

*2026-01-21, version 1.0.6*

I can’t link the app to Alexa link the instructions say to do. Preventing voice commands. Very disappointing

### 3/5 — Please fix the shortcuts

*2025-06-19, version 1.0.6*

I used to be able to tap a button on my phone Home Screen to toggle the ac. I can’t make that shortcut anymore, my ac doesn’t show up when I want to create a scene using tap to run. I like that the app lets me control the ac, but I’d like to not have to open it every time just to turn it on/off. Maybe a widget would be good too, in addition or as an alternative.

### 3/5 — It’s OK, but..

*2025-05-21, version 1.0.6*

It’s working surprisingly well. But why can’t they do AM/PM vs 24h only in the Timer feature!? Other minor issues I won’t bother for now.

### 2/5 — Hard to set up

*2025-04-10, version 1.0.6*

I had to set this up twice and both times it took numerous tries. Even the company who installed the AC said to expect to take multiple tries and it did. The second time I had to set it up (because my whole WiFi setup was changed) it took me several days before it finally connected. An example of the weirdness was there is a point where on the phone it says to tap a circle when you see the two letters appear on the AC screen (CF or something like that). The craziness is that you can’t see the circle on the phone to tap it unless the lighting is just right and even then it’s barely seeable!

### 3/5 — Great app. -sort of-

*2024-12-01, version 1.0.6*

Love the app, it makes lazy days in bed perfect! When it works properly. I have to repeatedly tap every function to get it to work—Even standing next to it.

### 2/5 — Great Air conditioner app needs work

*2024-08-15, version 1.0.6*

Why can’t Friedrich get apps right? I have an LG inverter AC with and app that works flawlessly. Why can’t Friedrich who has been making air conditioners for 60 years make and app that works flawlessly. My biggest problem is not the setup which is totally wrong in the manual. It’s the problem with the app. You can’t lower the temperature only raise it with ECO enabled. You have to disable ECO with the app then you can lower temperature. Then re- enable ECO with the remote not the app because if you enable with the app it locks the temperature at 79 degrees. The ECO button in the app should do one thing turn on/off money saver. Please fix this annoyance so I can give a five star review.

### 1/5 — The app needs a lot of improvement.

*2024-06-19, version 1.0.6*

I was able to connect my 2 new air conditioners to the app. I am able to get the timer to turn the units on but no matter what I do one comes on 73 degrees and will not allow me to change the temperature setting. Please update this app the user interface. Come on Friedrich.

### 1/5 — This app no longer works !! You broke it by updating it! Please fix it immediately!

*2024-06-16, version 1.0.6*

Please fix this app. Your latest update broke it!!!

### 3/5 — Keeps logging me out if you have multiple devices.

*2024-05-24, version 1.0.6*

I can't share the same email with all my devices without it deciding to log me out.

### 1/5 — Automations never work

*2023-10-10, version 1.0.5*

They simply never trigger or show in logs. Tried many different variations. Automations are for looks but they do not work at all. Steer clear, get a better modern unit.

### 3/5 — The App Start to have Great Delay or Not Work At All

*2023-10-06, version 1.0.5*

The app used to be working properly without very small time delay until recently. Now, the app would either have great time delay for every setting change made on the phone or iPad, or simply won’t set the change and ignore the setting changes. For example, to change the fan speed, i have to try to set it 3-4 times and wait about 10-15 second every time for it to work. It’s weird and the app used to not function this way, must be some changes or updates. Very frustrating when you need 3-4 attempts to just lower temperature.

### 1/5 — Portable AC would NOT work!!

*2023-07-25, version 1.0.5*

We got a portable friedrich AC a while back to put into our elder family members room to keep her cool at night. The AC unit itself works fine, the buttons on it and the remote. As of recently we decided to install the app onto her iPad for her to have a better view of the controls since her eye sight does not allow her to see the remote. We opened the app and signed her up through her email, verified it through a code, that all went smooth, but as soon as we went to add a device, everything went down hill. Her iPad can’t connect to the ACs WiFi and the AC can't connect to her house WiFi, and the whole “press the display button 6 times, then press the mode button once” did not work. We don’t know what to do when it comes to the app and we’ve had multiple of us check it out and have resulted in almost ripping our hair out. In short terms, the app is a piece of poo!! And the support team will not help at all!!

### 2/5 — The a/c is great, remote & app not so much

*2023-07-17, version 1.0.5*

Nothing syncs between the app, remote, & device. In 2023 I expect better from technology.

### 4/5 — Thanks for the Timer, but..

*2023-07-10, version 1.0.5*

Great to be able to fully control my heat pump from my phone. And the Timer feature is great for automatic on before waking up, BUT please add an Edit to reorder & delete timers, and also add a “Season” at the top level of the Timer (ie Winter=Heat only, Summer=AC only).

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-07-05, version 1.0.5*

I’m technically able. Couldn’t get the remote to communicate properly. Lousy interface. Go back to the drawing board app designers! Delete!

### 3/5 — Thankful for Reviews

*2023-06-25, version 1.0.5*

My rating is based on ease of setting A/C up to my phone. So thankful that other people put tips in their reviews or I wouldn’t have figured it out!

### 1/5 — Will Not Connect to Alexa

*2026-07-20, version 1.0.6*

I have tried contacting the company a couple of times but with no help. I was able to connect to Alexa the first summer in my apartment (their AC, not mine) but now it will not connect and I have been trying for months.

### 1/5 — Alexa won’t work

*2026-06-15, version 1.0.6*

It’s so simple. You just open the app, connect to Alexa and bam. Right? However, this is the only device that simply refuses to connect with Alexa in my house. Update your app for the love of god

### 1/5 — Timer not working

*2026-06-14, version 1.0.6*

HIT OR MISS! Sometimes the timer works great other times it just ignores the timer which is unpredictable and frustrating

### 1/5 — Worthless app

*2026-05-06, version 1.0.6*

This app doesn’t work, not even with the internet hack suggestions in the comments.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-07-27, version 1.0.6*

Ac won’t connect to the network. Piece of junk only does 2.4ghz. Even with that enabled the device won’t connect. Why bother with smarthome nonsense if you aren’t going to properly support it.

### 1/5 — Keeps logging me out if you have multiple devices.

*2025-07-26, version 1.0.6*

I can't use the same email with all my devices without it deciding to log me out every time.

Timers/scheduling no longer works.

### 1/5 — App needs to be updated ASAP

*2025-06-19, version 1.0.6*

This app needs to be updated- It no longer works. I cannot turn off my AC unit nor turn it on from the app. Which makes the app useless.
When my AC is on, the app reflects that it is off.

### 1/5 — Horrible experience

*2025-03-29, version 1.0.6*

Our unit was installed today, and despite my IT background, I have spent three hours attempting to connect it to Wi-Fi without success. This feature was a key factor in my decision to purchase this device, and I am extremely aggravated by the ongoing issues.

### 1/5 — Dissapointed

*2024-11-05, version 1.0.6*

The App will not allow s user to reduce the temperature on the window unit below 80 degrees while in Money Saver mode. The Friedrich tech team is aware of the issue, but it is taking them a very long time to rectify it. Still no fix after several months and three phone calls.

### 1/5 — Dumb AC with 1 smart feature

*2024-08-06, version 1.0.6*

Downloaded the app, connected the AC, now I can turn on and off my AC remotely and use my phone as a remote. That’s it. Can’t do routines. iOS 18 not supported with widgets. Can’t create scenes in the app with it (AC just doesn’t appear with anything). Can’t use iOS shortcuts to compensate.
Literally spent extra money for a smart AC but only thing that can be done more then a dumb AC is I can turn it on before I get home.

### 5/5 — Read the PRIVACY POLICY!

*2025-08-27, version 1.0.6*

There is no opt-out. Why would I allow them to share my Body Fat information, for example, just so I can control my air conditioner from my phone?

### 5/5 — UPDATE WIDGET FOR IOS18 PLEASE

*2024-09-17, version 1.0.6*

App is actually rad. Simple, easy to use, no issues.

But please, PLEASE update your app/widget to support the new widgets for ios18. All the legacy widgets went down, and the widget is so incredibly useful for controlling AC’s in the home.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-05-16, version 1.0.4*

Not as quiet as would like but a powerful machine!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2022-07-28, version 1.0.4*

Soy feliz con mis aires

### 5/5 — So convenient!!

*2022-07-26, version 1.0.4*

This app AC combo is clutch. Especially during this super hot summer week! My apartment would be so hot and disgusting otherwise, I can start it up before I’m due home.

### 5/5 — When the AC is running

*2022-07-20, version 1.0.4*

Great app. Would love to see one improvement. It would be nice to see on the app when the unit is actually running much like the Nest app does for its thermostats. I have the through the wall AC with heat unit
