## What is friendkeeper?

friendkeeper — the app for friends who actually want to stay friends.

We all have people we care about deeply but somehow still forget to call. friendkeeper is your cosy corner for nurturing the friendships that matter most — without the guilt, without the pressure.

Never lose touch
Set gentle reminders to reach out based on your realistic social battery — not how much you love someone. Log connects with notes and mood so you remember the good stuff, not just that you "should call more."

Send the love
Thinking of a friend? Send them a virtual hug, a love surge, or a little "thinking of you" with a single tap. Their phone lights up with warmth — no conversation needed, no reply expected. Just love.

Birthdays, friendiversaries & more
Never miss a celebration again. Track special dates and get a nudge before they arrive. Add zodiac insights for a bit of fun.

No more "did I lend that?"
Track money, books, or anything shared between friends. When you're both on friendkeeper, borrowings sync automatically — so nothing slips through the cracks.

Syncs across devices
Sign in with your phone number and your friends, connects, and borrowings are always with you. Link up with friends who also use friendkeeper to see their real birthday, shared borrowings, and more.

Built with care, not ads
No ads. No selling your data. No social feed. Just a simple, private space for being a better friend.

Because good friendships don't just happen — they're kept.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 3.5.0 — 2026-04-21

Books & Films — Ask a friend for a book or film recommendation, or send them one yourself. The whole share/request flow now works for all three media types, with covers, search, and moods tailored to each.

Connection Requests — Linking with a friend who doesn’t have you saved in their contacts is now an explicit ask. Send a request, they accept or decline, and only then can you send love, songs, or nudges. Cancel a pending request any time.

Disconnect Friends — Removing a friend now properly severs the link on both sides — they'll no longer be able to send you love, songs or nudges. Reconnect any time with a fresh request.

Opened Love — See when the friend you sent love to has opened it. An "Opened" chip appears on the sent-love screen once they've tapped through.

Anonymous Song Reveal — Song shares arrive as a "tap to unwrap" — the sender and track stay hidden until the recipient opens it, matching how love already works. A cinematic send-off animation plays on the sender's side too.

Song Previews — Play a 30-second preview of a shared song inline, without leaving friendkeeper.

Privacy, Simplified — One "Share with saved contacts" toggle replaces the old five. Plus a new discoverability setting: who can find you on friendkeeper — everyone, or only people you've saved yourself.

Tidy Notifications — Swipe a notification away, or clear them all. Plus a unified banner for incoming love and song requests so nothing gets missed.

Send Love — Full Page — Sending love now takes you to a dedicated page rather than a cramped bottom sheet, so the Send button stays reachable on smaller phones.

Connecting with friends made easier — Connect with friends already on friendkeeper right from your friend list

Friend stats — Each friend's page now counts shared loves and recs, both ways
