Iv done a report thing but the bug is still not fixed. ### 3/5 — Must pay $3/month to rate more movies? *2023-08-08* Nice app, but I shouldn’t have to pay $3/month just to rate movies / tv shows as I watch them. That’s the whole point of this app, and it helps you recommend content to me + all your other users. Instead, offer real features to Premium users, like the ability to create multiple lists, or more advanced recommendation options. ### 3/5 — Only worthwhile with premium *2022-09-13* I’ve been using the app for 2 weeks and would have recommended it to anyone, however, after the 2 weeks past my premium features fell off and I was encouraged to subscribe. ANOTHER subscription is the opposite of what I or probably ANYONE needs right now - had it been a one-off purchase I’d likely have bitten the bullet & paid the fee. Improvement: IOS app a bit buggy. Sometimes movie searches won’t load. Other times the buttons on my profile get wonky. Also sometimes the app is slow. Would love to sort my recs by category thriller, rom com, etc Would love to see a more minimalist home page that’s more calming Would love food/drink recommendations added. This would be amazing. I’m a big foodie and to have a central spot for that would be rad. Would be cool to leave audio reviews for my recommendations Would be cool to have a site like common sense media or plugged in merged with the app. That way I know content of the movies I’m about to watch. However we can share a list but they can’t add any other movies to it. Just a really good app to enable you to see what you might be interested in based on historic interests. Take care. /Morten ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t log on *2023-11-20* Have tried so many times and can’t log onto this app even though I have signed on originally with my gmail it is now not recognised. Very infuriating as now I have no idea what I have read this year and all my lists have gone. There isn’t an option to just change my password, and when I type my email in manually it is also not recognised. I asked my friends about this and they said the same thing that they now can’t log in. ### 1/5 — please help *2023-11-11* app is broken and won't let me long back in. just keeps saying "oopsie something went wrong. let's try again" and it's the same on my friends phone ### 1/5 — Can’t even use the app without a subscription *2022-11-01* When opening and setting up the app it says nothing about a paid subscription. However once the setup of you account is all done it only allows me to do a 7 day free trial without the option to skip the free trail. I personally never use free trails as I forget that I have them and end up paying money for something I don’t intend to so I always just settle for the free limited options. but there is no free version, at least not a free version that you can get to without having to proceed with the free trail. This really gets on my nerves as it doesn’t say anything about this before all of the setup and it doesn’t inform if there is a free option or not at all. ### 1/5 — Showing me the specific type of films I said I didn’t want *2022-10-13* I literally clicked everything except action movies on the movies you like section and then further specified that I do not like action movies in the genres you don’t like section (which btw is a terrible selection as most of them are the same type of movie) yet as soon as I got to the main page all I see are action/superhero movies? I don’t understand how I told you 3+times “I don’t like action movies” and your response was “how about you try a whole page full of action movies?!:D” ### 1/5 — Does not work *2022-09-09* Stays on introduction mode. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2022-08-25* LOVED this app when I first found it. Writing reviews and rating films, shows and books that I had seen or read. Just opened the app to find that if I want to check where to watch a certain film I have to pay for the privilege. No thanks. with the cost of living going up I don’t find it acceptable especially when I can Google it for free!! I will now be deleting this app as it is no use to me. ### 1/5 — Missing features *2022-08-18* I have a paid subscription but still can’t see where to watch any of the shows. It just says we can’t find it anywhere for everything. I have updated the app but it still doesn’t work. I only paid to be able to see the shows but as that doesn’t work I feel a bit cheated. Edit: tried contacting Friendspire a few times but never got replies so ended up getting a refund through Apple. All the best, Morten Founder of Friendspire ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2022-08-07* Used to be one of my favourite apps. I spent hours writing reviews and enjoyed seeing what my friends had seen and enjoyed. Unfortunately the one feature which made it stand out as useful - showing which services films and programmes were available on is now gone and hidden behind a fairly expensive for what it is paywall. The developers claim this is the only way to keep an app like this free, but I would rather have a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen, or as they suggest, sell some of the data, E.g. our reviews or our ratings to third-party than have to pay for such a service. It’s a shame because the general idea of it is good, but poor business model will let them down. Deleted don’t bother to download. It’s a shame because the time I spent rating and writing reviews was now wasted. ### 2/5 — How do you get this to start. *2022-08-23, version 11.5* I have made all my selections in the introductions and input my name and email but when I open it, it just takes me to the intro again. Been thru intro a dozen times. Can’t seem to finish ### 2/5 — Changes that don’t make sense *2022-07-15* Used to LOVE this app. But for some reason they have made changes so that’s it now doesn’t show where a tv show or movie is streaming. This means if I search for something on the app I don’t know if I can even watch it, so I may as well just look it up online! Makes no sense why they would take this feature away as it’s the main reason that many people use it. 5 star app if they brought this back **Developer response:** Hi Jen, We are still showing where a movie and tv show is streamed, but it requires to sign up for our paid plan. We are simply not able to keep the app operational any other way. Without any of our users signing up for premium, we will be forced to close the app for good. I hope you understand the situation, and would be willing to consider signing up for the premium plan. In return, we promise we are building a lot more very cool features. We don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a very small amount of just 2.5 pounds. You can barely get a pint of beer for that price. Best, Morten ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — It’s not working? *2024-02-18* So basically, I downloaded the app because the review was good and all but then when I downloaded it and it said sign up on Google, I did it right and I kept pressing my account, pressing it and pressing it to go, and you know start using the app right and select pressing sign up with Google sign up with Google and then I press my user name I mean like my Google account and I kept doing it and doing it and doing it and doing it and then I kept kicking me out telling me to go back in the Google thing and then I’m just fed up now. I’m sorry if you guys are taking this harshly I just wanna know how to fix it, thank you for your time. Please give me advice, but I will give it a five cause I saw a good reviews ### 5/5 — The Ultimate Recommendation App with Unbeatable Support *2023-05-19* Shoutout to Morten 🙌 I have been using Friendspire for a while now and I have to say, it's easily one of the best apps out there for discovering and sharing recommendations. As a regular user, I rely on it heavily for finding new TV shows to consume, as well as for keeping track of my own recommendations to share with friends. Recently, I encountered an issue with the app that prevented me from accessing my account. I was worried I would lose all my saved recommendations, but the support team at Friendspire went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue. Their response time was incredibly fast and they were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole process. Thanks to their support, I was able to get back into my account and all of my saved recommendations were still there. I was so impressed with their level of customer service and their dedication to making sure their users have the best possible experience with the app. Overall, I would highly recommend Friendspire to anyone looking for a great recommendation app. It's user-friendly, intuitive, and has a fantastic support team that goes above and beyond to help their users. Five stars all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### 5/5 — Best App to share Movies/Shows with friends! *2022-12-31, version 11.6* I’ve been trying to find one App that allows to create lists of movies/shows you’ve seen, but also see what your friends and other people are seeing and reviewing. IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes don’t let you do that, but Friendspire does! Plus it tells you where to watch based on your country, and many more things. While it still has some room for improvement in UX and it does get glitchy often, it works very well for it’s purpose. If anyone has any ideas to fix this please let me know! ### 5/5 — So handy when you feel like you’ve completed Netflix *2022-04-27* I was asking my mate for suggestions for audiobooks and movies to stream and he sent me a few suggestions on Friendspire which confused me at first. Now instead of mindlessly scrolling through Netflix, Disney and Stan I just go to friendspire and find out what my friends enjoyed. My list of things to read and watch has tripled over the last few weeks.
