It’s great for some free Halloween fun! It was quick and easy to add my house on there, the app never glitched or anything. This year when I got back on to edit my house, upload new pics and update the description, it’s been a glitch headache. I tried multiple times to submit my house updated but it would take forever to load and the app would crash. I finally got it to submit for that update and it said Approved…but then my icon no longer appears on the map. I tried my brothers phone and my house isn’t showing up on their either despite it saying my house was Approved to be posted. **Developer response:** Oh. Apologies for this. To the creator: Thank you for making this! Overall the app is amazing, but I do want to flag a bug that is hard to reproduce but has happened to me a couple times now. When adding a haunted house, after adding an address or an icon it will occasionally crash the app causing you to lose all of your progress and having to fill out the entries all over again. The only option is to click on the link that opens “maps”, but I was looking for a decorated house that was supposed to be 2.5 miles away from my home and when maps opened, it said that I was 4.5 hours away. Also, when I click on the list to see all the sites, the app crashes. It’s not even the address I put on my file. I don’t even know how you came up with the address. 😂 **Developer response:** Hi, I’m terribly sorry you are experiencing issues. I am a solo developer and will keep trying to squash bugs as they popup. ### 2/5 — Spotty *2025-10-31, version 4.4* Hard to zoom in and out on map ### 2/5 — Great app, but you can’t edit *2025-09-26* I love the app, but know that if you submit your house/haunt, it’ll take a few days before it is approved and shows up on the map. And, if you try to edit it later by adding new photos, it’ll be removed from the map for an additional few days. So, just make sure you have *everything* ready to go the first time you submit. **Developer response:** Thanks TJ for 2 stars bc we ensure all edits are safe for everyone 🎃. ### 2/5 — My haunt will not stay on the map. *2025-08-25* I’ve had this app for a couple of days and it’s really great that I found other haunts in my area and even people across country who share the same enthusiasm. Unfortunately, at the moment my haunt doesn’t stay on the map after I’ve added it. Hopefully this will change and I can resubmit a better review. **Developer response:** Hey sorry this was worth giving FrigthMaps 2 stars. When you add your haunt it goes into review and gets taken off the map until a human reviews it. It’s a free service and gave you the ability to connect with haunters everywhere. The review process will not change. And it’s been fun to see who else has decorations in my area! It might take a day or so for your house to show up on the map. And any edits you do will remove your location from the map for a few days. My suggestion to the developer is to leave up the original approved location ping, info and old photos so haunts stay on the map for new viewers to see and update to the new info or photos when a human can verify its safe. That way people don’t get missed or feel like they aren’t discoverable while waiting for updates. Because I know a lot of us collectors will get a new item and add it into the display and then can be hesitant about updating the apps info for fear of not being discoverable. Even thought the new props or whatever might bring in a bigger crowd! But this isn’t a big enough issue to lose a star in the rating over. Fantastic app!
