## What is Fritillon?

Fritillon (formerly Die Roller for RPGs 2) rolls the dice your table actually uses.

A damage roll is rarely one handful of identical dice. A blade does slashing damage plus a little thunder; a spell rolls a fistful of d6s that explode on a 6; an ability score is 4d6 with the lowest dropped. Fritillon builds all of that into one roll.

MULTI-POOL ROLLS, FREE

• Several pools in a single roll, d4 through d100, up to 50 dice in a pool
• Name each pool and give it a damage type
• Per pool: drop the highest or lowest dice, reroll once, reroll until a die beats a number, or explode
• A subtotal for every pool, plus the total

SEE EVERY DIE

• Every die in every pool, not just the total
• Rerolls and explosions shown die by die
• Roll history keeps every roll, with its breakdown
• Copy any roll and paste it into your virtual tabletop, chat, or game notes

AT THE TABLE

• Paired Dice: name two dice, roll them together, and see which comes out on top, with advantage or disadvantage
• Crit rules that match your table
• Shake to roll, sounds, and crit alerts, each optional

ON EVERY DEVICE

• Your Sets, Groups, and roll history sync through iCloud across iPhone, iPad, and Mac
• A native Mac app, not a stretched phone app

THE OPTIONAL DICE LIBRARY

Everything above is free. The Dice Library is a one-time purchase, with no subscription, that lets you save your own Sets and Groups and edit saved Sets. Save a weapon, a spell, or a whole volley of attacks once, and it's a tap away on every device. Using and deleting Sets is always free, and so are the starter Sets the app comes with.

## Pricing and in-app purchases

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.3 — 2026-10-03

Die Roller for RPGs 2 is now Fritillon. Same app, same developer, same dice. Your Sets, Groups, and roll history all came along. Along with a new name comes a new icon. Searching the App Store for the old name may not find it anymore, so if you're telling a friend, it's Fritillon now.

Multi-pool rolls. At the table, a damage roll is rarely one handful of identical dice. A magical longsword might be 1d10 slashing plus 1d4 thunder; a fireball-style spell might be 8d6 that explode on a 6. Now one roll can hold several pools, and each pool keeps its own name, damage type, and rules:

• drop the highest or lowest dice
• reroll once, or reroll until a die beats a number
• exploding dice

Every pool shows its own subtotal, live and in your roll history, along with every reroll and explosion. Per-pool history starts with this version; rolls from earlier versions keep the breakdown they were saved with.

Sets save multi-pool rolls, so your favorite weapon or spell is one tap away on every device. An older Set that mixed die sizes with a drop now offers a one-step conversion in the Set editor.

### 3.2.4 — 2026-08-27

Paired Dice can now be rolled with advantage or disadvantage.

The Paired Dice button now has an arrow beside it. Tapping the button rolls normally; the arrow offers Advantage or Disadvantage. Both are one-off actions, so nothing stays switched on by mistake.

You can also name the two dice to suit your table, and set the size of each one along with the bonus die. Renaming applies to your existing roll history, not just to new rolls.

Labels and die sizes are set separately on each device.

### 3.2.3 — 2026-08-05

Every roll now shows the individual dice, not just the total.

Die Roller for RPGs has recorded each die since its very first version—it just never showed them to you. So this isn't only about new rolls: your existing Roll History is already broken out, all the way back. Nothing to migrate, nothing to rebuild. Open it and look.

Live results show the individual dice too.

On by default. Settings › Show Individual Rolls turns it off.

### 3.2.2 — 2026-08-01

The Duality Dice feature is now called Paired Dice, with Light and Dark results. Your existing roll history is preserved—past rolls now show the new labels.

### 3.2.1 — 2026-07-28

Minor UI tweaks; deleting Set or Group should no longer require the Dice Library IAP
