FRMS has the cutting function on board from the absence. And how about an X and Y touchpad as a new feature? Would do great in FRMS. Keep it up. Best regards ### 5/5 — Good *2025-01-25, version 1.11.3* This app is great sound good in everything any track ### 5/5 — Finally a desktop-grade Granular on iOS *2025-01-01, version 1.11.3* iOS has about 3 or 4 apps available on its platform that utilize Granular, but FRMS stands up there with FM features, four layers, and a modulation matrix. Since its launch in 2020 Imaginando has continued to breathe life into their Granular flagship, including advanced UI resolution for HD screens, a performance boost, and VST3 support. It’s also available on Android, something few iOS developers have the time to invest into. Overall it’s one worth adding to your repertoire whether you’re on desktop or iOS. Here’s to a productive 2025 for Imaginando. 🎊 ### 5/5 — Check out the Foley voices (in-app purchase) *2024-10-11* It’s hard to find something that stands out in the iOS environment. There’s just too much good stuff. However, I have a fondness for this company, they are really engaged and creative! For me, the presets made out of Foley samples make this app. Not only is it encouragement to make your own, it’s also an acknowledgment that not everyone wants to learn everything about every app. Sometimes it’s all about finding something easy to use that speaks to you. Expansions cost too much. *2024-10-03* I try to play this over my Bluetooth amp for a simple drone and it never works. You can’t disable the microphone either. Its automatically on but not really on it just gives a bunch of feedback without picking up a signal. Still to many bugs with this software. Audio won’t play over headphone jack either. Please fix the mic issue. There is no mic off button so the app screams and feeds back into itself immediately upon launch. **Developer response:** You seem to be experiencing some unusual behavior with the input. I wanted a live sampler but this on is not working as expected… Please refund I already uninstalled the app… ### 1/5 — Export/mixdown/freezing bug *2024-10-05* The granular layer is not rendered correctly either when the track is frozen in the DAW or during the final mixdown. Because of this, the synthesizer is useless in production. I wrote about this to support several times, the developer confirmed the presence of the problem, but it's been over a year and they haven't fixed this bug. I would love to make a refund of the purchase, but too much time has passed and Apple won't let me do it. **Developer response:** Hi. We have worked on this issue and we ensured it was working correctly on Logic Pro (you can see this in our changelog). Best regards ### 1/5 — No Bluetooth & No Customer Service *2023-10-16* FRMS won’t work with Bluetooth. Sent a couple of futile emails to developer. No resolution. They never got back to me with solution. Only line: nobody else has this issue. On the contrary, I see other people do have this issue. Very disappointed, especially in the customer service. **Developer response:** Hi Nikko, sorry if you feel disappointed with our service. However it's not strictly true that FRMS won't work with Bluetooth, or indeed that there is "no customer service". What we actually said to you was "We don't have any similar reports". By which we mean that there have been no other recent reports regarding Bluetooth issues via our support chat/email system. In earlier versions of FRMS there was an acknowledged problem which prevented Bluetooth output, but this bug was fixed in v1.2.1 update release. Testing the latest version of FRMS on iPadOS 17.0.3 to several different Bluetooth devices, both headphones and speakers just now, presented no audio problems on any of the devices for us, and investigating a problem that we are unable to reproduce ourselves is almost impossible. What you actually reported to us was that FRMS was making "obnoxious sounds" with or without Bluetooth - which is something that no other user has reported to us. ### 1/5 — Doesnt work if opened while bluetooth is connected *2023-08-13, version 1.10.0* I was excited to try this but im disappointed to have spent so much for it to lack such basic functionality. And buy the way the others are not worth the price. **Developer response:** Every preset pack includes original sound files that were used for the pack, and that you will be able to use on your own sound design. Es werden zwei Audio Units von FRMS geladen, doch wenn ich das Programm schließe und wieder öffne, wird die weitere Spur nicht mehr mit dem FRMS geladen. From the sounds, the possibilities, the interface…it’s all there to instantly get creative. Incredible sound design potential with 4 simultaneous engines that can be oscillators or sample-based grains, or a blend of both. Worth mentioning too that I bought 4-5 of the preset packs and they did NOT disappoint! Creative and inspiring right out of the box.
