### 3/5 — Frogger still a great game!!!

*2022-09-24, version 1.6.1*

I’ve been playing Frogger games for years! The first 3D game on cdrom. It was hard but I beat the game. Every level! And then Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge came out on cdrom with 3D gaming and some old gaming built-in. It was the best then. And a few years later Frogger was on DS for Nintendo and 3DS. I’ve played all the games and the computer versions rock! I’m glad Apple thinks like me abit and added two new Frogger games that are ONLY for Apple Arcade! What a gift!!! Thank you Apple and keep hopping for more!

### 2/5 — Garbage controls. Doesn’t improve skills.

*2021-12-31, version 1.6.0*

You can advance all you want but this frog stays dumb and clumsy. Doesn’t gain any new skills , doesn’t learn to be better. Also what frog drowns In water? Are the designers there dumb in biology! … stutpid game and clumsy controls. You get a bunch of novelty toys to put Into glasss jars and treasure for some reason, you win a bunch of useless costumes, none add extra protection. The point of the game seems to be collecting useless garbage. Good product Peacock ,may it be your last venture into gaming. What a waste of time. The worst controller I ever used on a game…

### 4/5 — Fun but one thing...

*2020-11-26, version 1.4.0*

I love this game but I just got the new level but sometimes it doesn’t recognize that my fingers are touching the screen and it is really annoying because then I can’t play. Otherwise it is really fun and a game I would recommend

### 3/5 — Good game! HOWEVER...

*2020-11-17, version 1.4.0*

I’ve only played several levels so far but I have an opinion. Overall, I think it’s a great game. I love the graphics. And all the different obstacles add a nice touch. However, when I looked at the reviews for the game, I saw something about being able to jump on cars. I’ve tried this, and can’t seem to be able to get it right. Most of the time, the game decides: No and then kills you. I assume that there’s a correct time to jump, but I just don’t know. The only consistent method I’ve found is dying, and then you are able to jump on the cars. If this could get some attention, that would be great. I would like some clarification on this issue.

### 3/5 — Needs a lot o bug fixes

*2020-11-16, version 1.4.0*

I hate how my sister’s phone doesn’t let her get in this game when she tried to open it is said you request is taking longer than usual and then she starts to cry it happens every time when she tries to open this game. IS THIS A JOKE!? Plz do the next update right now with bug fixes

### 2/5 — Garbage controls

*2020-11-05, version 1.3.0*

I am extremely frustrated with this game, yes the graphics are great and all but I was expecting it to be a really fun game to play and unfortunately due to control issues as many people have mentioned I could barely get past level one on my phone. Not only is it frustrating when you swipe left/right or tap to jump out of the way and nothing happens but it’s also extremely frustrating when they allow the froglets to go off screen or in an area where you cannot reach them (when saving them is the main objective of the game.) On top of that where is the consistency with jumping on vehicles? Am I not allowed to jump on trucks and only on cars? Am I not allowed to jump on either? I feel like sometimes I can jump on trucks and cars and sometimes I can’t at all or I lose a life. It’s extremely disappointing when you have high hopes for a game but you are only let down because the game is more frustrating than it’s worth.

### 3/5 — Good BUT...

*2020-05-06, version 1.2.0*

Sometimes I really love this game, but I find that the controls and other aspects of gameplay don’t always work as expected. For example, despite my furious swiping I sometimes cannot get my frog to climb up objects (like lamps and shovel handles). I wish the game would not allow me to throw objects in the wrong direction (as sometimes my frog will accidentally be facing backwards).
I wish I knew exactly when I can and cannot jump on a moving vehicle - seems like sometimes I can and other times I just die. Sometimes there are many obstacles (helicopters, toy trucks, lawnmowers) but there are no objects that I can possibly pick up to defeat them and therefore I just die.
PLEASE make gameplay more controllable, consistent, and predictable.

### 3/5 — Co-op needs work

*2020-04-19, version 1.2.0*

Love that my 3.5yo can play this game relatively easily on her own but I really wanted to play co-op to help her get past the baddies. Unfortunately you can’t play with multiple controllers on a single AppleTV. I tried the game center co-op but despite my AppleTV and iPhone being on the same WiFi network, it wouldn’t find both devices. Might be because I only have a single Game Center account but this should be possible so families can play!

### 3/5 — Broken but fun

*2020-03-30, version 1.1.0*

It’s Konami so I don’t ever expect this game to be fixed. The spawns for items are glitchy forcing you to reload constantly and at times the levels feel impossible. They’re not, but they can feel that way. My 4-year-old, and my wife and I completed everything on the game and while it was frustrating at times, we still had a lot of fun and would play new levels if added. That doesn’t mean it’s a good game, just fun. If the broken loading elements were fixed it would actually be pretty great, but they already got Apples money so they obviously don’t care to fix it.

### 4/5 — Addicting and fun

*2020-03-08, version 1.1.0*

I’ve been pretty into this game for the last month. I started out using the touch controls, but realized quickly that I would need to use my Xbox controller if I was going to get anywhere, and sure enough the final stages are pretty brutal. This game has amazing graphics and a lot of charm. Some of the costumes are a trip for sure. The levels are really creative too.

I do agree with others that a couple of the frogs here and there are almost impossible to get, and it can be deflating to lose them all right before the end of the level, though I don’t mind the difficulty. Once I decided I didn’t have to 100% the game and just get to the end, it became a lot better for me. I do strive to access all of the secret stages as well.

One more thing: is there still going to be a co-op mode?

### 3/5 — KONAMI Was decent!

*2020-01-02, version 1.1.0*

At first, I except quality, and it was actually some decent graphics. What I don’t like, is the framerate. Maybe i’am not seeing things right. Is it 60 FPS? I have no idea if you even care, but do you have incoming updates? Sorry for the change of subject, but I’am like a Computer Geek, so... anyway, I’am a coder, so you know you are getting an ACTUAL positive Review. I would love a better user Interface, since I prefer premium controls. HUD is fine. Anyway, the game is really nice!
Thank you KONAMI.

PS— make better controls. Here is an example. You die sometimes when you are NOT even close to cars. Thank you!

### 2/5 — Not good

*2020-01-02, version 1.1.0*

This is a very frustrating game. I can’t stand how you have to start over again if your frog gets knocked down or you lose baby frogs. It makes me just quit and stop playing. The controls are terrible. The battery drain (iPad Pro) is literally unbelievable. It makes my device get very hot and just a small bit of gameplay will deplete your battery from 100 to 60 in an hour. So far I’m not digging any of the games on Apple Arcade, which is pretty disappointing.

### 3/5 — Please stop the game music!!

*2019-12-27, version 1.1.0*

I have not played this game long, and I think it is a cool take on the classic game Frogger. The graphics are super creative with toys and the crawling baby, but please, please change the music. I’m not sure who chose this background music, but to put it quit simply, I hate it. And I cannot play very long before I have to quite the game all due the game music. Yes, I know I can turn the music off, but that’s part of the game!! An example of excellent game music is altos adventure. It makes the game. Maybe give us choice of some different music. Otherwise fun and creative game.

### 3/5 — Konami knows looks but has forgotten collisions

*2019-11-07, version 1.0.4*

This game looks, sounds and evokes great feelings. The issue is when you’re trying to play the game to 100% it, the game readily makes certain frogs impossible to get to due to the screens horrible movement system. The game also kills your frog when barely touching a car and sometimes when trying to jump on a car (One of the games features), the cars count that as a hit with no difference between each attempt. The controls aren’t good either, as other users have noted, but they’re not the biggest problem in my play through. When I see Konami I expect quality, and in the way of looking like a little big planet game, they did provide quality, but need much more refinement on the game itself before anywhere near a 5 could be provided.

### 3/5 — So frustrating!

*2019-10-18, version 1.0.2*

Love love love this game. So cute. Quickly became obsessed. Took hours & days to progress to 3rd house. Progress has reset back to 1st house. Apple can’t help fix & the link on the Frogger site goes to a Konami page that doesn’t even list Frogger. And the chat is ‘offline @ 4pm est time on a weekday. And the support ‘form’ isn’t functional. It won’t give a submit button. Do you can’t even get any help. 😢 highly disappointing.

### 3/5 — Great looking game terrible control

*2019-10-17, version 1.0.2*

The game design is great the biggest problem is the game play the control lags significantly. The frog is not very responsive to the inputs I put in. Also there are times when the frog must jump higher than normal and at times he does it but there’s no way to make the frog jump higher, faster, or further on command. Would be a great game if the drag control wasn’t so frustrating.

### 2/5 — Fun concept but too hard

*2019-10-14, version 1.0.2*

This game is amazing fun and really creative, however this is just way to hard, I barley could pass the second level with full heart, and catching all the frogs, but the 3rd level was another word for hard! If you fall in the sink you have less then 3 seconds to get out even though to swim to it take around 5 seconds! I was shocked to see this game was recommended for 4 and up. Considering how hard this game was it was a pure shock people thought that a 4 year old could win this!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too many glitches and not consistent!

*2020-01-19, version 1.1.0*

This game is fun, but there are too many glitches and inconsistent jumping and reactions.

There are times Frogger jumps sideways when you want to go forward. Jumping on the same items have different reactions and you lose opportunities to rescue baby frogs. The jumping distance isn’t consistent and you’re constantly trying to correct your distance and angle. Sometimes you’re able to jump on moving vehicles and items, other times you’re killed and lose the baby frogs.

### 1/5 — Konami u need to make this game better

*2019-11-30, version 1.0.4*

It’s like my Frogger jus got drunk 🥴 he is not doing what I want him to do and I don’t love how the bottom of the game moves and also moves Frogger too. Konami, FIX. THIS. NOW. 😾😡🤬😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Konami did you know that it is impossible to deal with level 8 /7? (High pitch voice) oh yeah this game has been greatly improved since a long time ago. (Low pitch voice) IT HAS NOT.😕🥺😩😫😡🤬🤒🤕😷🤐🙄😬😑😐😶😴 good game (not including the game controls) but.........................FROGS CAN SWIM SO FROGGER SHOULD TOO!!! Also my frog could need some amusements ( he glitches🤪🥳🧐🧐😕🙁😠🤨😖😗😰😎😖😠🙃😕😠😒🤯😷🤮🤫🤭😨😱😅😥🤒🤕🤢🤮👎🏽😴

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2019-11-24, version 1.0.4*

You have to either choose drafters movement increments AND a grid based world. Or NEITHER. Doing one without the other put you in situations that are impossible. The 100-bean super frog is extremely stupid since you have no control over when it happens. And you designed a from that once it touches water you lose all your lives no matter what. Absolute trash. If I were on the art team of this game that did an INCREDIBLE job, I would be fuming at the atrocious gameplay implementation. I could go on and on about the stupid decisions made in this game but it’s all obvious stuff to anyone who has played a video game and isn’t brain dead. GREAT JOB RUINING THIS CLASSIC.

### 1/5 — Controls 👎

*2019-10-22, version 1.0.4*

I was impressed that it seemed to offer so many ways to control it. Keyboard and gamepad and touch? Sounds great! There’s even diagrams for controls I can’t decipher. What’s the half-filled rectangle with rounded corners? Is it a mouse? It looks like you throw the rectangle away from you to move forward, and strike the left corner to activate objects. Nothing to suggest how you might change directions. But hey, whatever the thing is, they support it. There’s literally more options than I can imagine!

* Keyboard controls double-fire, so you can’t move 1 square, it always moves 2 — particularly strange since you can navigate the menus with arrow keys just fine
* Swipe gestures frequently don’t respond, or don’t go in the right direction
* Pencil makes it a bit easier, but not quite
* Tap works, so if the levels were a straight path with no obstacles, then it could be playable...of course, it wouldn’t be much fun, but hey, one little hop at a time

### 1/5 — Terrible controls even with a controller

*2019-10-14, version 1.0.2*

I don’t know who this game is supposed to appeal to. I see many touting it as a great children’s game, but this is one of the hardest and most frustrating games I’ve ever played (mostly due to poor controls). Nothing bounces or moves the way you expect, and trying to save all of the froglets in each level is an exercise in frustration.

I know the touch controls are legendary in their awful execution, but trust me, you’re not missing out on much with a controller. I still die in almost every level because I’m fighting the controls.

We know Konami is a bad company, but this game should not be on Arcade. It is easily the worst thing on here (even worse than ShockRods).

### 1/5 — ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CONTROLS

*2019-10-11, version 1.0.2*

For a game where super precise, timely movement is the only way to succeed...Konami have totally blown it with arguably the worst touch screen controls I have yet experienced in a mobile game. Even when my MiFi controller arrives (motivated by the awful deficiencies of this very game) my review will remain a One Star until this issue is fixed. Because Frogger - despite its charming graphics and fresh take on an old classic - is only playable right now as an Anger Management exercise.

### 1/5 — Enjoyed the game but has been glitching

*2019-10-07, version 1.0.2*

I enjoyed playing this game but it has been glitching a lot over the last few weeks. I am using it on an iPhone 11. The labels and information stopped rendering, so now it just has ?- - - and random symbols in other places. It also restarts from the beginning almost every time I open it. This forces you to have to go through the entire intro every time.

The inability to skip the intro is a pain. But the worst part is that it causes saving issues as well. And because of this it makes you lose progress. I like the game but they need to fix glitches before I will play it again.

### 1/5 — Broken game

*2019-09-26, version 1.0.2*

I have been playing this game just fine the past few days and really like it. But now starting today 9/26 it is acting like I have never played it before and when there are pop ups for conversation it shows just a question mark. Then if I go to the menu it is in an Asian language and won’t let me go into settings to change anything. Not sure what is going on but very frustrating. Please advise what to do or fix the app.

### 1/5 — Seems like it could be a better game.

*2019-09-23, version 1.0.1*

I love the graphics and I was really excited to play the game. I ended up being frustrated and disappointed. The touch response is delayed when you try to move the frog to the left or right (sometimes even forward too).
The puzzles and obstacles look really good and I like the level of difficulty, but what’s the point when the UI is not as friendly.

### 2/5 — Fun game at times but glitches abound and lacks replay ability

*2022-02-03, version 1.6.0*

The outside world collisions with throwable objects are fun as heck. The environment is awesome too, but maybe that’s just a personal bias because I like games where you shrink down and normal objects seem giant. As for every thing else though, it kinda falls flat. The collisions, while fun, are tough to get around at times. Stuff like paint cans and springs feel awkward to use. Due to these collisions, glitches can happen that ruin the whole thing. On one of the stages, I died to a lawnmower. When I respawned, I respawned ON TOP OF THE LAWNMOWER and had NO CONTROL of Frogger. I almost died from that. Second, the game feels off. There are no bosses at all because I assume the glitches would make them way more difficult. There are only a bunch of random obstacles that you can get through easily. Like for example, the baby. Third problem; the toy capsules. Normally games give you a reason to progress, but this isn’t. It just gives you a tiny statue thing that just exists. No real sense of accomplishment. Final problem; title music. This music is really awful. Please update this game Konami.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is what I like!

*2022-07-10, version 1.6.1*

🐶🦊🐯🐸🐒🐣🐱🐻🦁🐵🐔🐭🐮🙈🐧🐷🐻‍❄️🐹🐰🐨🐽🪰🕷🦖🪲🪳🦞🐙🐙🐟🦞🦐🐗🙈🦇🐣🦆🦄🦏🦘🦒🦒🦈🦈🐍🦎🦎🦖🦕🕸🦂🐐🐖🐎🦏🐩🐈‍⬛🐕‍🦺🦮🐄🦒🐘🦏🐲🐲🌾🌾🌺🐕‍🦺🐈🐇🌈☀️🍓🍕🍟🌭🥪🍔🥯🥠and this game. Please can you make froglet mode? And please can you remove the jack-in-the-boxes? Also I’m 9 years old. And please make it so you hear the title music in the menu!

### 5/5 — The Best Game Ever

*2022-03-28, version 1.6.1*

I really love this game it is like crossy road but evolved. None of the levels are alike and all of the frogs are so cute. The graphics are more then amazing. I can tell how much time and effort was put into this game. This is the best Apple Arcade game on the market for sheer.

### 5/5 — Fun and challenging

*2021-06-04, version 1.5.2*

IThis game isn’t easy, but I get better the more I try. There’s some randomness to a level every time you start it (with a few different objects here and there) so it’s a little unpredictable, which keeps it interesting. If you expect everything to be easy and 100% predictable, this is not the right game for you.

### 5/5 — Awesome game!!!

*2020-12-06, version 1.4.0*

This is one of my favorite games on my iPad. The levels are interesting and have a lot of detail, and the levels are not all alike. One thing you could do is add boss battles to the end of some levels. In the boss battles I would like the screen to stop side scrolling and give the bosses three phases and dialogue. I am eight years old and sometimes when my Dad and I take walks we try to come up with our own ideas of levels and boss battles that would be cool for the game. One cool idea for a level would be Frogger is making his way through multilevel tower with a boss on top. Please add a costume creator mode where you get to create your own costume. You could pick from the characters Frogger, Bull, or Slim then draw your costume. The final step would be to color in the costume and then it would automatically become realistic in the game.

PS. I love the game and I am not trying to change it. I am only trying to give you some of my thoughts on making the game even cooler.

Happy Holidays!

### 5/5 — Post update, Frogger is a blast!

*2020-10-11, version 1.3.0*

I have loved Frogger ever since the first ps1 game. It was simple challenging fun. This is the first time in a long time that a frogger game has grabbed me. I can’t seem to put this down. The redesign is adorable and the way his little feet stick to the physics based objects in the game as they roll around is charming. I can’t wait to play more of thos. Simple intuitive controls make this a must play for anyone that has ever enjoyed a good frogger game.

### 5/5 — Great game but something is missing

*2020-08-03, version 1.3.0*

So I’m in love with this game already and it’s great there’s just one thing.... so whenever I get hit by something.. the froglet is that I worked hard to save... they just run away... so what I’m suggesting here is whenever the player gets hit by something and they lose a heart... have the froglets STAY WITH FROGGER!!!

### 5/5 — Fun Game

*2019-09-22, version 1.0.1*

This is a great remake of the classic! The first time I played I was sitting in the waiting room at the doctors office. I was so consumed they had to call my name twice! When the nurse seen I was playing a game, she asked what game? I showed her, and let her play a round! She was so impressed she downloaded Apple Arcade while I was seeing the dr!

### 5/5 — Welcome to nostalgia with a twist!

*2019-09-20, version 1.0.1*

I remember playing this game when I was little and I’m very pleased of this remix of this game. Phenomenal graphics, fun levels, and love the added saving of Lil’ Froggers. I will admit sometimes there are delays when holding the sideways and trying to get over some obstacles. But that could possibly be because I need to get used to the buttons or there may be some pre-release bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall I’m so very happy with Apple releasing arcade and the games they have on here and minus the frustrating ads included in most of the apps today. Apple Arcade and this game are highly recommended!!!

### 5/5 — Great Fun!

*2019-09-17, version 1.0.1*

I grew up loving Frogger! It’s a perfect update to a timeless classic. You will enjoy hours of fun. Just like the original Frogger you think that it will be easy. There are some great challenges in here make it more challenging that you would think and keeps it interesting. Only thing I would say is the tap to jump doesn’t always seem to register and I end up moving in a direction other than what I intended.

### 4/5 — Fun Upgrade and Almost Perfect

*2023-09-19*

I’ve only played this game for an hour but love it! I think the developers put thought into the different modes, levels, and extras the game offers…but the only reason this is not a five would be the learning curve for the controls. They are not as bad as other reviews claim. You have to think about your movements and learn the level to master it.

Overall it’s really fun and a little addicting. I’m happy to see great apps like this in the Apple Arcade that provide value for the subscription.
