Clear calls and accurate identification. They are unfortunately missing most of the species where I’m from, which are the ones I’m interested in learning to identify. Overall good, I’d recommend downloading and giving it a shot. ### 3/5 — Long wait for confirmation once submitted *2026-03-14, version 1.4.3* I really love the app and have been using since 2018. However, the time between submitting a call and having it reviewed and confirmed can be several months. Have tried uploading photos but nothing shows and photos don’t get included when I make a submission. Otherwise, it’s easy to make a recording and the matching results have been accurate (for me) so far. ### 3/5 — May need a server upgrade to handle the traffic *2023-10-20, version 1.4.3* I think this is a great project, and I look forward to participating. Looks like we might actually get some rain next week so there should be a lot of activity around the place. In preparation for the survey, I have updated the app (easy and quick) and tried to renew my password and get familiar with the app again. The last 2 steps are very slow and clunky, I even had to abandon the reset of password due to the time it was taking. I suspect this might be to do with server traffic and it would be great if this could be fixed before the survey starts or it is going to be very frustrating uploading frog calls. Keep up the great work. It would be great to see a stats page that showed changes in frog population numbers and distribution Over time. We found this app and she loves going through the frog pictures and listening to all the sounds and seeing where they are from. I would love to see other countries included as we are not Australian, but so cool to look through anyway. ### 4/5 — Great app but some improvements *2022-11-13, version 1.3.9* I really enjoy using this app and it has made me more aware of frogs in my area. The only problem for me is that there isn’t an option to submit a photo without an audio. I often find that when you hear a frog calling, you don’t see it, but when you see a frog, you don’t hear it calling. We would love something like Bird Merlin out of Cornell University in the United States that covers birds all over the world with sound matching. You have clearly optimized search such that when I look for a frog ID app you come up. But you are no good for international frog enthusiasts. Take a note from Cornell. I downloaded to a fully updated iPhone 12. So it is not an incompatible device. I was really looking forward to using it.
