## What is FrogWatch?

Stand at the edge of a pond after dusk and the marsh comes alive. FrogWatch helps you remember what you heard, where you stood, and what the air felt like when the chorus started. Log each outing with species, pool, temperature, weather, and whether you heard, saw, heard calling, or found spawn. Add field notes and an optional photo so your night walks become a timeline you can scroll back through. Browse a built-in guide to common frogs, toads, and salamanders — habitat notes, active seasons, temperature windows, and lookalikes to watch for. Pin favorites to your shelf for quick access in the field. Open the Calls board when a voice stops you in your tracks. Each card describes rhythm, pitch, and the conditions that throat prefers, with practical listening hints for peepers, jug-o-rums, trills, snores, and more. Name the pools you return to — vernal pools, cattail marshes, beaver kettles, ditches, seeps, and bogs — with whispered tips for where to stand and what to expect. The almanac wheel shows how the year builds from ice to explosion to summer snore and fall silence, so you know which throats are due each month. Built for quiet nights, headlamp low, ears tuned to the reeds.
