## What is From the city to the museum?

Your digital guide to discover the city's museums.

Explore the intricate web of connections between the city's history and its museum collections, from the neighbourhoods where artists and historical figures grew up, to the places that inspired their art and ideas, and the tangible legacy they left behind. Discover historic workshops, palaces, gardens and alleyways, each telling a precious part of the history of Genoa, preserved, transformed and reinterpreted within the urban fabric.

A cultural journey that rediscovers the identity of a territory through a network of museums and sites of historical and artistic interest spread throughout the Municipality of Genoa.

Choose from seven itineraries, including the Galata Maritime Museum, the Edoardo Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art, the Museum of the Risorgimento, the Ligurian Archaeological Museum in Pegli and the Strada Nuova Museums, which include Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Tursi.

For each museum you will find a detailed description and an image gallery giving a general idea of its contents. You will also be able to explore external itineraries outside the museums, with points of interest throughout the city linked to the collections or history of the selected museum.

Finally, you can save your favourites and create a personal archive, customising your trip according to your interests.
