This app worked fine for me up until the recent update but it is now significantly less user friendly in my opinion. Most obviously, it seems that one cannot completely stop the charging through the app as the STOP button is no longer there. I can now only do this by manually unplugging the car.

### 1/5 — Probleme mit Ecomode und Boost

Seit dem letzten Update ist die App gelinde gesagt eine Zumutung. Der Eco Lademodus funktioniert nicht mehr und es kann nur noch im Standardmodus geladen werden. D.h. mit fester Ladeleistungseinstellung unabhängig von der Solarleistung. Gegebenenfalls wird dann aus dem Netz geladen. Der Boost Modus, bei dem eine vorgegebene Energiemenge aus dem Solarakku in das Auto geladen wird existiert nicht mehr.

Fazit: eine gut funktionierende App wurde per Update in ein untaugliches Tool verwandelt. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass sich das mit dem hoffentlich kommenden Update zurückverwandelt.

Liebes Entwickler Team,
Ich nutze euren WattPilot Pro um über die ID Chips verschiedene Parteien abzurechnen. Gerne würde ich einen preislichen Unterschied zwischen Netz-Strom und Solar-Strom machen. 
Könnt ihr diese Informationen in der herausgegebenen Tabelle ergänzen?

Ja, ich weiß, Fronius wiederholt gebetsmühlenartig das die App nichts damit zu Zaun hat, ABER nun habe ich wiederholt Probleme, dass in der App das Fahrzeug nach dem verbinden nicht erkannt wird. 2,5 Jahre davor hatte ich dieses Problem nicht, erst seit ca. einer Woche nach dem App-Update. Bitte bitte lösen! Habe verschiedene Versionen der Firmware für Wattpilot probiert, ohne dass das Problem gelöst wurde. WLAN neugestartet, App neu installiert, App vom Strom genommen… Nichts, Fahrzeug wird meist nicht erkannt, manch mal dann doch, was Hoffnung weckt um es dann nur wieder zu zerstören.

Leider skaliert die Grafik für den Strompreis auf dem Ipad nicht mehr - riesig groß! Der Verlauf des Strompreises war für mich wichtig. Lädt das Auto im Öko Modus oder nicht? Diese Anzeige funktioniert auf dem Ipad nun nicht mehr.
Schade.
Ansonsten . .    Vor dem Update fand ich die App brauchbar.

Der Download der aktuellen Version auf ein neu eingerichtetes iPad funktioniert nicht. Der Wattpilot wird im Netzwerk trotz erteilter Berechtigung nicht gesucht und somit auch nicht gefunden. Der Startbildschirm der App friert ein. 
Auf dem Android Handy funktioniert die App weiterhin einwandfrei und das neue Design ist gut gelungen.

The latest version of the app has no Dark Mode,  Impossibly small font and no longer user friendly. Is ridiculously unreadable on ipadPro 12”. Seriously, Dark mode would at lrasy make it legible without a magnifying glass. Disappointed.

### 3/5 — Seit dem Update ist die App schlechter

*2026-07-05*

Mit der vorherigen Version kam ich zurecht, auch wenn vieles verschachtelt war. Nun mit der neuen App muss man sich erst mal nicht nur an das neue Design gewöhnen, sondern der EcoMode spinnt vielmals, also lädt zum Beispiel einphasig mit nur 2 KW. Warum auch immer. Obwohl die Einstellung auf 16A 3,7KW gewählt.
Teilweise wenn man auf dem EcoMode geht, zeigt es an, dass er neu konfiguriert werden muss, weil wahrscheinlich die Verbindung zum Wechselrichter verloren hat. Das war die letzten Jahre nicht der Fall, sondern kann nur mit dem Update zusammenhängen.
Außerdem kann ich nicht mehr die Einstellungen im Detail verändern, wenn ich ein spezielles Fahrzeug wie zum Beispiel den Renault Zoe gewählt habe. Früher konnte ich trotzdem die Mindestlad Leistung einstellen, aber das geht nun nicht mehr ☹️

**Developer response:** Vielen Dank für Ihr Feedback. Es tut uns leid, dass Sie nach dem Update Schwierigkeiten mit dem Eco Mode und einzelnen Einstellungen feststellen.
Einige der beschriebenen Effekte können mit den gewählten Konfigurationen sowie der Kommunikation zwischen Wallbox und Energiesystem zusammenhängen. Da das Verhalten in Ihrem Fall neu auftritt, würden wir dies gerne genauer prüfen.

2/July/2026. Boost has disappeared from app but still charged in standard mode. Will check eco tomorrow. 

19/june/2036. Good job with the update. Still get that issue where it’s charging with 0kw. Solved by stopping charge and starting it when ??? Also when you select history from the bottom menu, it would be better if the total energy reflected the day, week, month, custom as per chosen one. 

Doesn’t work properly with mg4 any more. Says charging at 0kw. I must manually stop charging at car and start again then works fine. Supposed to do this automatically but doesn’t.
